Greetings from Greece,

i use Mozilla Fieefox many years now to sync everything from home, to mobile and work. Today at work, I received a new computer with fresh Windows 11 installation, bind to an MS Domain and the latest version of Firefox installed.

With a great dissapointment i realised that i couldn't connect with my mozilla account while in the previous pc with with windows 10, worked and synced flawlesly. While pressing "Sign In" from the 3-line menu on the top right corner nothing happens, sometimes it opens a window that keeps loading and some times the login page is loaded. After inserting the email and pressing the button it takes quite some time, a red ribbon notification appears "Proccessing..." and when next screen appears and the password is entered... (it takes also quite some time) the red ribbon notification appears "Working..." and after a little while "The operation was aborted".

I've uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, cleared profiles and created new ones, took advantage of all refresh tools mozilla offers.... nothing. In fact in all 3 pc's we received today the reaction was identical. On the other hand if i try to login to mozilla throught Chrome or Edge the login process works like a charm.

Any thoughts, ideas would be very much appreciated.. could it be a Policy Problem for Windows 11 for example?!?

Thanks in advance for your time

Hello,

we have a BigBlueButton Server setup for our company. Until recently we used a TURN-Server to tunnel the UDP connections thrugh the firewall.

Due to performance issues we wanted to try and let the clients connect directly to the udp ports 16000 - 32000

In Chrome this works as expected.

In Firefox however when we set "media.peerconnection.turn.disable" to "true" FF does not find any WebRTC candidates. We checked the logs and it says there:

"relay only option is set without any TURN server configured" "relay/proxy only option results in ICE TCP being disabled"

But thats NOT true! The option "media.peerconnection.ice.relay_only" is definetly set to "false"

Tested on FF 115.5.0 ESR and 120.0.1

Does anyone have an idea whats happening here? Why doesnt FF even try to make a direct connection?

UPDATE: I just ran a test on our dev system. If we configure BBB so that it does not offer any TURN-servers, FF uses a direct connection. Sadly that is not possible, since we need the TURN server for external connections. When there are TURN-Candidates but TURN is disabled via FF config no connection is established at all. This definetly semms like a bug in FF, since the browser should still be able to simply try and connect directly.

Thank you for you support

I've read a few old threads and checked both the DRM setting and the "-Vine" as they recommended. Still no luck getting it to work. I'm posting yet another thread about this here because I'm getting a bit frustrated, frankly. Firefox is my favorite browser by far, I just wonder if anyone has found another way to fix this.

whenever I am on Amazon.com the search window constantly fills with "solo con tu pareja," a movie I once watched. When searching for an item and even when trying to buy something the search window constantly fills with this phrase. This only happens using Firefox browser I've tried clearing cache, re-setting, etc. and while I got it to stop once, as soon as I re-started computer the problem came back.

I'm having the following problem in my web application and it only occurs in the Mozilla Firefox browser: "Content-Security-Policy: Page settings blocked loading of a blob resource: https://sitename (“frame-src”).”

I am using the SheetJs library to export a .xls file in javascript, when generating the file using the writeFile method, the mentioned error occurs.

I've used a private browser, removed all extensions, cleared cache, etc.

My C drive needed replacement. I reinstalled Firefox and copied the profile from the old C to the new C. That did not work. I uninstalled and tried again with the report back that the files names were too long. The old disk is still in the computer with a new designation. I tried installing again to the old drive that has all the original data. That did not work. (I do have a saved copy of the profile) I'd like all my settings, but at least the bookmarks. Firefox doesn't seem to have importing from another Firefox, so I can do that. How do I import bookmarks from the Firefox on my old disk. Help would be appreciated. Thank you

I know this is likely to be a wont-fix resolution, but I'd like to confirm that.

So if a webserver has the extremely cautious content-security header:

content-security-policy default-src 'none';

Firefox will correctly not embed video from that same domain in web pages hosted by that domain.

Fine. Good. Totally right.

When the server sets the same flag on the media file itself, Firefox's media player won't play it in browser. Even if I directly open the URL as a user, signaling my user intent to accept the risks for the file, the default player Firefox creates uses the media file's content-security-policy FOR itself.

This means the media won't load, gives an unhelpful and incorrect error message about MIME types, and the only way to view it is to actively download it and view it in local media applications.

Now, given the risks of allowing exceptions in CSP, I will understand if the development team doesn't feel this is a safe change to make, and it's on website owners to prevent this, but I don't feel it's in keeping with the intent of CSP to prevent this case.

What would it take for Mozilla to offer a version of Firefox without permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions, and just offer them by selection upon installation, or offer a a registry editor program to add and/or remove them, or simply a paid-for version without them? A paid for browser that could be configured the way a person wants it would be worth the cost of such a browser.

examples of plugins and/or extensions desired to be permanently removed:

Amazon.com Bing DuckDuckGo eBay Firefox Screenshots Form Autofill Google Wikipedia

Refreshing does not work. Disabling does not work as they are enabled after another update, upgrade or by accessing your Firefox account.

Many years ago, M$ was sued for making Internet Explorer an integral part of the operating system yet is being allowed to do the same with Edge today. Just as back then, the browser cannot be permanently uninstalled from Windows, unlike with a Linux OS. Example: Mint will work perfect without the automatically installed Firefox browser should a user want to have a different browser. However, since undesired plugins and/or extensions can be permanently removed, there is no need to uninstall and remove Firefox.

Unfortunately, although I love the Vivaldi browser (which is built from Google's chromium architecture, just like chrome and many others) for any M$ or Linux OS, there are two features Firefox offers still unavailable with Vivaldi at this time. Therefore, Firefox remains my backup browser and for when I would like to use those two features unavailable with Vivaldi. However, Firefox would become the default browser not just for me, but an unknown huge number of users if permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions could be permanently disabled and/or removed because users want less intrusion and thus more security.

Firefox is a great browser. However, not being able to permanently remove permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions is more than a nuisance. Reason: If the built-in plugins and/or extensions can be re-enabled after an update, upgrade, or accessing your Firefox account, then there must be some type of script, sub-routine, program or AI detecting the permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions that have been disabled. That by definition is spying.

What is needed is a method to permanently remove permanent built-in plugins and/or extensions, or at least prevent the disabled built-in plugins and/or extensions from being enabled again.

Perhaps Amazon.com, Bing, DuckDuckGo, eBay and Google and Wikipedia are paying $$$ to be embedded within Firefox which may be needed by Mozilla for the ongoing development of updates and upgrades. If so, a paid-for browser might eliminate the need for Bing, DuckDuckGo, eBay and Google and Wikipedia to be included.

Thoughts and/or discussions?

Thanx!

I tried to pay my Wells Fargo VISA bill online as I do every month. This morning it listed all my accounts correctly on the 'Accounts' screen, but when I clicked the options to transfer money, depending on the screen I was on, it gave a message "you do not have two accounts to transfer money from and to" (not the exact wording.)

I tried to use a different path to do the same thing, and on that screen it displayed the 'FROM' accounts correctly but the "TO" account area was blank.

I had to close Firefox, load Edge, and was able to transfer the money from the checking account and pay the VISA bill.

This has never happened before and I have done this transfer and pay operation every month for years. Something has changed in the browser and needs to be fixed.

Hello to everybody, My question: Opening local .mdb files (MS Access database) does no longer work in Firefox 120, but was ok in previous releases. The only choice is to save the file rather than onening it with MS access. Under Firefox settings/applications the file type .mdb does not appear. If I answer the question "What should Firefox do with other files?" with "Ask whether to open or save files" it has no effect at all. I expect to find an entry for .mdb files where to choose "always ask" as was the case earlier. Please help!

Do you know of any way to retrieve what I deleted, or should I just put them back as I need them? Also, I set up my original Mozilla account 5 years ago, and don't remember how to add a bookmark panel on the left of the screen.
