When using DuckDuckGo Search I cannot drag and drop the search URL into my Bookmarks. I can drag and drop a Google Chrome search URL into my Bookmarks as usual. Also, the correct URL is not shown for the search using DuckDuckGo. See attached screenshot.

Please resolve.

For the last two to three weeks The Firefox updates have changed the way bookmark data is retained. Firefox will allow bookmarks to be added and retained on the tool bar for any sessions - until firefox is restarted and then the bookmarks no longer work.

Hi, I'm running Firefox 145 on a MacBook Air, with MacOS 12.7.6 (Monterey). When I try to add a bookmark to an existing folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar, it will not show up. It does show up if I go to the hamburger menu, and then Bookmarks/Recent Bookmarks, but not from the Toolbar. This is true for any folder on the Toolbar. I do not have this problem with Firefox 145 on Linux Mint Cinnamon. Is this a bug or a feature? Please advise, and thanks.

My bookmark features has stopped working. When I click the star, it does not turn blue and I cannot bookmark anything. Is there a fix? I have stuff in the bookmark area and would not like to loose it.

Hello. I'm having trouble with bookmark icons in my browser. Sometimes the icons show up, but sometimes only the globe appears. I've tried everything, including installing the "Bookmark Icon Loader" and "Bookmark Tab Icon Changer" add-ons, but it didn't help. Is there a way I can change them manually in the browser itself without any add-ons?

Using Firefox ESR 115.30 in Windows 7 Ultimate, I routinely open multiple tabs, then, at the end of the day or session I'll bookmark them all into a new folder and close them all.

Later, I might return to that folder and choose to open say, 5 of the group. Is there a way to select all 5 (without opening any) and once I've finished selecting them, have all 5 open at once? Rather than just one at a time? So far it seems that I have to open them one by one.

I'm running 145.0.2 on Mint Linux and Windows 11...

Like many other users, I have an issue in which roughly half of the icons representing bookmarks on my Bookmarks Toolbar have been replaced by the black+and+white icon of a globe. The links work, but because most of them are now the same, it means I have to hover over them to make sure I click on the link I want.

I've tried: Exporting all my bookmarks to HTML; deleting all bookmarks; re-importing Deleting the "favicons.sqlite" database and letting Firefox recreate it Creating a new Profile and importing all my bookmarks "fresh" in to there

Not only does none of this seem to work, the results are actually inconsistent.

This problem has been kicking around for years - certainly for many major releases of the browser. I understand that there could be deep/complicated issues such as a corrupt user profile, for example...

Unfortunately, however, there does not appear to be any consistent or reliable effective advice on how to fix this issue... and nothing I try seems to resolve the problem.

I'd be very grateful for any recommendations on a reliable repair for this issue.

But I'd also be grateful for suggestions as to how we might go about suggesting to the devs that this long-running bug is overdue a permanent fix.
