I’m not a technical person and so could you please share the specific and safe steps which will resolve both the error state shown, and the TLS logging issue without creating any other unintended consequences. Subject: Firefox 157.0.1 – ChatGPT Read Aloud Not Working (“Unable to read aloud”)

Hello Mozilla Firefox Support Team,

I am reporting a problem with Firefox 157.0.1 on Windows involving ChatGPT's Read Aloud feature.

Until approximately one week ago, I could use ChatGPT's Read Aloud feature without any problems. Now, whenever I try to listen to a written ChatGPT response, Firefox displays the following error:

“Unable to read aloud.”

I have confirmed that this problem is specific to Firefox. ChatGPT's Read Aloud feature works perfectly in Google Chrome on the same computer. Additionally, YouTube and other audio applications work normally in Firefox.

Troubleshooting already completed:

Cleared ChatGPT's cookies and website data.

Disabled Firefox Enhanced Tracking Protection for ChatGPT.

Restarted Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode with extensions disabled.

Refreshed ChatGPT and restarted the browser.

Tested ChatGPT Read Aloud in Google Chrome, where it works correctly.

Unfortunately, none of these troubleshooting steps resolved the problem in Firefox.

I hope this is a simple setting issue. I believe I have tried everything others have recommended.

When I open a PDF I get a black background and a grey block. One for every page in the PDF.

When searching inside a webpage the color of the item found hardly distinguishable with my theme. I tried to modify the ui.textSelectBackgroundAttention parameter of config. No results. The color stays the same old one.

I use the Mozilla Firefox browser to read yahoo email. The email unread counter at the top of the browser is incorrect. The count on top of the browser shows an increasing number, when looking at my email shows no unread emails. Currently shows 63, but seems like the number is increasing. Any idea how to fix this ? I had to restart my computer for updates so I clicked on my container and closed it thinking it was like closing a program and then re-opening it. Now it's gone and several hours research with it. Is there any way to restore a closed container?

I've been using firefox for a little while- maybe three months now. I'm no expert on any of the config options. I run firefox using the built in VPN that my friend showed me how to enable, and I've been using it since. But now, as of roughly today, whenever I enable the VPN, no websites will load. At all. When I turn it off, they load instantly. But whenever I turn it on, it just gets stuck loading forever and ever, never actually getting anywhere. I tried enabling network.dns.disableIPv6 in the config page, because that's what I saw on a mozilla support page- nothing. Didn't do anything. The browser.ipprotection.enabled is still on, and I didn't change anything in settings. There was a firefox update very recently, but everything still worked with the VPN on. I just updated my computer, but I don't think that's it either because it wasn't loading things earlier today either. Not sure how to fix this. Please help?

The access to the email I used to sign up for my Mozilla account was revoked without warning earlier this year. I can't change the email address because it insists on sending an authentication code to the email address that no longer exists. There doesn't appear to be a way around this.

Of all the services I've tried, Mozilla VPN is the only one that has consistently provided the reliable connection I need to teach my students without frequent disconnections.

My work involves interactive online classes, streaming educational materials, and sharing learning resources, so I estimate that I need approximately 150 GB of bandwidth per month.

Unfortunately, my monthly income is only around $100, and $3 per month is the absolute maximum I can currently afford for a VPN subscription without compromising my basic living expenses.

I genuinely value Mozilla's commitment to privacy and an open internet. I'm willing to upgrade to a regular subscription and pay the standard price as soon as my financial situation improves. I have a Mini PC connected to my TV. I use the Top Sites shortcut feature to remind me of which TV shows I'm streaming. Each time I complete an episode, I edit the Top Site and change the URL to the next episode, so that, when I come back and hit the shortcut -- it keeps my place in the series.

This all worked perfectly until the recent Windows desktop build of 157.0.1. Now, when I edit the shortcut and click save, it doesn't Save the edit. Instead -- it creates a duplicate shortcut in my bottom row.

It doesn't matter which Top Site I edit -- they all do it.

Can anyone duplicate this bug?

When uploading photos, Firefox is not Showing the last folder used. Normally, when uploading a photo from a certain folder, the next time you do that, the same folder shows up unless you choose a different one. Now, it keeps going to one specific folder even though I uploaded from a different folder previously.

Example: say I uploaded a photo from my folder "sympathy pics". Then I upload a photo from "my documents". The next upload pop-up box still pops up the "sympathy pics" folder when it should bring up "my documents".

Can someone please help me?
