I'm on a Mac using Mac OS Big Sur, 11.7.10.

Videos will not play on Firefox, whether on Youtube, in social media, on websites, or whatever. Sometimes the video will play with no audio, sometimes I just getting a rolling wheel.

I have other functionality issues that may be related.

I don't want to close and restart all the time. I am considering changing to a new default browser over the issue.

If I switch to Chrome or Safari, the videos play fine. Which seems like my answer.

For the last few days, Firefox is being removed from my computer overnight and i have to re-intall the browser the next morning. Sometimes it's still there the next day, and sometimes it's gone again the next day. What i causing this and how can i prevent it from being removed? Jenny

My browser is not working as it should. Several sites do not work anymore and the browser keeps crashing. I'd like to refresh the browser, but the button is missing. I tried going to troubleshooting mode, but the button is not there either.

Not sure if uninstalling would do the same thing? Just not sure what is the best way to refresh. Thanks for any help!

Once again I have experienced that my Bookmarks disappeared. Some months ago, I had a HTML backup made, for easy Import. Now I started out by shutting down Firefox, followed by a restart. That worked last time (without import) This time it did no change. I shut down Firefox, and restarted the PC....... no change. (without import) Then I shut down Firefox and restarted the PC. Opened Firefox, and wanted to import the Bookmarks from the HTML file. The system comes up with a message stating that the file does not contain any bookmark references. ( Opening the HTML file using Firefox, reveals that all bookmarks are there, and can be used ) I uninstall Firefox, and re-install it . Flw. I try the import once again, using the HTML file...... to no avail. What am I missing here ?? My final option appears to be moving the bookmark one by one.. rather time consuming.

Is there a way to remove specific stories from appearing? I'm Canadian and do not wish to see what the US President has done in these stories. Google News has a hide feature for specific keywords. Does Mozilla?

Exported passwords as csv from Firefox from an ailing machine. Imported into browser on new pc and find two sites reject my logins (Outlook & Duolingo). No issues with any other logins. Same logins still working on the old pc. What gives?

I finally got the search field and the address field on the same line. However, the search field is on the left and I would like it on the right. When I "customize toolbar" and manually switch the fields, it does not seem to reverse them subsequently (after I enter "Done").

What am I missing here?

Using the latest FF, Edge will show an icon. Is there a way to refresh FF and make it refetch the correct icon?

Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? Last time I got a reply, it was telling me f.f had a 'known issue' sore. the "yo've reached your limit for this account profile..create another on!" I made one, but it was then as now inte f.frfering further (white flower icon, having two operating f.f P or more operating at same time-stp[[omg my mac from sleeping, interfereing other ways. WHAT I AM ASKINNG IS HOW TO DELETE THE 2ND AND OTHER PROFILES! I GO TO MANAGE PROFLES T, AND I SEE THE FLOWER ICONS IN LARGE OPEN FLOER ICON/DRAWINGS WITH 'DELETE' AND A TRASH/BIN ICON BELOW EACH. WHEN I TRY EITHER ONE OF THE OTHER PROFILES, IT JUST OPENS THE MAIN FF. PAGE WITH A BLANK SCREEN, NO BOOKMARKS/TOOLBAR...AND DIALOG BOX TO IMPORT P/W'S HOW DO I DELETE ANY PROFILE IF THIS SECLECTED METHOD IS FAILED? I recently tried to use a DVD and online installation for a Microsoft Office product from a seller who seemed rather sketchy. I couldn't get these products to work so found a different seller and the installation was fine. Now every morning, when i turn on my computer, the Firebox browser has been removed, and i have to re-install all over again. How can i stop it from being removed without my permission?

when using two screens at the same time on windows 11, when switching to fullscreen mode, I get a part of the main screen from the right. I tried disabling extensions, it doesn't help. The latest versions of windows 11, drivers, and also the latest version of firefox are installed.

Firefox cannot be controlled using shortcuts such as H-headlines, E-input fields, B-button, insert+F7-link list, and insert+F6-heading list. I already updated a few weeks ago (and lost all my bookmarks, passwords etc in that process, which was infuriating) and yet every day I get a notification in the "open application menu" telling me I need to upgrade. And every time I check the version of firefox I'm using, it says it's up to date (like I just did now--see the pic). Again, last time I got prompted the same way to download a new version, I lost everything. Why does it keep telling me I need to update? And how do I turn those notifications off?
