I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Currently, I'm using Firefox 82.0.2 on Fedora 31. Recently, it's started opening most, but not all links in a new window instead of the current one. Not on all sites, but most. As a pair of examples, it opens links to articles on gasbuddy.com in a new window but not on Slashdot, and until a few months ago, it only opened a new window if I right-clicked and selected New Window from the context menu. I'd like to get the old behavior back, as this is quite inconvenient.

Today, when I go to print out a web page, the format of the Print Preview window has changed and the"Simplify Page" option is missing. I use this feature all the time. Without it many pages are impossible to print. How can I restore this feature?

Firefox "Print Preview" has disappeared from the File menu in 84.0.2; all I have now is "Print", which brings up a Microsoft Edge style print dialog. Is this an upgrading error, or is it just the way Firefox will be now?

I noticed when I try to click on a link to print something the printing dialogue will be kind of out of focus (hidden) so I can't do anything but press ESC to get out of it. When I scale the Firefox window to a smaller size it works as intended. On my 2560x1440 screen it works in all window sizes. Only on my 3840x2160 screen this happens when the window is maximized. Would be nice if somebody could fix this! Thank you! Firefox 84.0.2 (64-Bit) Win 10.

When I highlight specific text in the pdf viewer in Firefox for Windows and copy it the wrong part gets copied instead of the highlighted text. I copy the text 2 lines under the highlight. I have the problem only with specific pdf, for example with an ISO from breuth. When I use Adobe Acrobat, I don't have the problem. Maybe it is a software bug?

Clicking 'Other Bookmarks' on the right side of the bookmarks bar cause firefox to stuck for few seconds .No problem with getting to the 'Other Bookmarks' from the 'Show sidebars' . Right click on 'Other Bookmarks' gives inactive 'Cat' and 'Delete' options. How to solve that uncomfortable placing of the 'Other Bookmarks' so the place of the 'show more bookmarks' 2 arrows mark will get back to the right side on the browser ? Thanks in advance

Hello, I would like to know how to remove 'other bookmarks' folder from the right side of bookmark toolbar that showed up suddenly on my browser, it's right after the arrows to show more bookmarks. I can't seem to find a way to delete this.

Mozilla has recently initiated a new format when one clicks on the "print" button while looking at emails and other pages. I can find no option for printing double sided which I had before and cannot find a way back to my old "print" box

I want to use HTTPS-Only mode, but Firefox enforces it on my private network as well as the public network. Because I do not have certificates for any of my private network hosts HTTPS-Only mode blocks all internal network traffic. The suggested temporary workaround is impractical. Is there a way for Firefox to check the hosts file for a local name/ip or is there another fix for this?

I normally choose my download location and if they're zip I'll delete them after extract.

The problem is currently I can't find any way to get where did I put my downloaded files if it's not there.

BUT!!! In order to know the files aren't there, Firefox has to know where did I put them.

I searched the home folder but nothing named `download` is in the folder.

Ever since I received my bluetooth headphones (ATH-SR50BT), I've had a problem with the sound. Whenever I pause a video or kill the tab it's in (even if the video is not playing) all the sounds of my computer are muted. Simply changing my sound output and going back to my headphone resume the other sounds.

I've tried solutions for Windows and the headphone without success, and then found solutions that appear to work for Chrome (https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/8894867?hl=en&msgid=14396047) and Spotify (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/Pausing-Spotify-Playback-quot-Mutes-quot-ALL-Audio-Playback-On/m-p/4551102/highlight/true#M64084), hence why I decided to search for a Firefox fix.

I am a long-time user of firefox and so far I have not had a problem for which I would not find a solution on the Internet.

It’s about using firefox in the workplace. I do not have administrator privileges when using a computer.

In my work, I often have to download files from the official (closed intranet) page, which are either in pdf (individual documents) or zip format (larger files).

Lately, I have been downloading a zip file that firefox marks as a pdf and asking if I want to open or save it.

If I save it, it gets saved as pdf and than I have to rename it to zip to correctly open it.

Chrome, on the same workstation, and internet explorer for the file correctly determine that it is in zip format.

I have already refreshed firefox but the problem remains.

When I used a new computer to log into my Firefox account, the account was locked. Waited 24 hours but account is still locked. I could not find website that will assist me in unlocking my Firefox account. Need someone to send me another link to my Yahoo email to unlock.

When Firefox asks if I want to download an update and I agree, soon after that but not right away it stops working - on every new page it says "we need to restart to finish updating" <- this last bit is VERY annoying. Is there a way to keep FF working in such situation? I usually have 3 FF profiles running, about 10-20 tabs each and when it suddenly does this - I can restart them all but when it is suitable for me.

The only solution I can see so far is disabling updates via group policies (which is not well documented, where do i put this policies.json on fedora? need to google that).

Any other ways to keep updates and FF running until I decide when to restart? Thanks.

Oy Gewald! I made a mistake. I thought that I could download Mozilla Firefox in German, and also keep my original Firefox in English. Big Mistake. Now everything is in German on my Firefox site. How can I convert it back to English? I can read and speak German, but it is a second language for me...I prefer to do my personal business in English! Help!
