My firefox search bar is not active. I can't access about:config to retrieve it. running Tahoe

I had to remove the Recommended stories from the home page. every source was a left leaning outlet. How is someone supposed to get a balanced news snapshot if all the so… (funda kabanzi)

I write my searches in the search bar but they appear in the address bar. I deeply despise this. HOW CAN I ONCE AND FOR ALL PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING?
