I am running Firefox 144.0 on kubuntu 24.04.3 LTS I have lost sound on Firefox. I have opened the same sites in Chrome and the sound is working fine. It's only in Firefox. I have tried several sites including Udemy, YouTube, and radio programs, no sound from Firefox. The problem started in the middle of a Jit.Si session. All of a sudden the sound disappeared. I thought that restart Firefox would help, then restart the computer would help. But the problem has continued. The speakers is turned on the volume is up, just not a sound from Firefox. What to do?

I actively use keywords to search from the address bar, mainly g for google, gs for google scholar and w for wikipedia. Until a recent update (until last week, I think), pressing ctrl + L to go to the address bar would select all the text in the address bar, including the keyword, such that if I had made a google search by typing g and some query, I could immediately do a wikipedia search by typing w and some query.
Now, with an updated firefox (141.0.3, on xubuntu 24.04), the search engine from the previous search remains when I press ctrl + L, so I have to type backspace(s) to remove the search engine keyword, before typing a new keyword.
Is it possible to get the old behaviour back?

When I go to see a firefox bug such as the following, https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2026-10/
There appears to be more details in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2014390 located at the bottom. When I try to view the details it asks me to log in. I do not see any reason I should have to log in to view the issue as I only intend to view the bug. Why does it require a login ?

Hello, Today I tried to upload some images to a seller on eBay, and consistently got the popup pictured below. I've never seen, heard of or had this issue before and searching for it comes up with nothing useful.
Any ideas? Using Firefox 115.13.0esr (64-bit)
Thanks

As title: after running updates, Firefox consistently crashes when launching.
To give more concrete details:
-Running on Linux, specifically KDE Fedora 42. Firefox was updated to 142 from 141, alongside various other updates. -When launching Firefox from any source (directly, through a link, through the terminal etc.), the only window that appears is the crash reporter. -This issue occurs when launching in safe mode. Removing and reinstalling Firefox, including deleting the entire .mozilla folder in Home at the same time does not resolve the issue. I am unable to test rolling Firefox back to 141. -When attempting to launch from the terminal (safe mode or otherwise), the following is output (personal info redacted):
restorecon: SELinux: Could not get canonical path for /home/[username]/.mozilla/firefox/*/gmp-widevinecdm/* restorecon: No such file or directory.
/usr/include/c++/15/array:210: constexpr std::array<_Tp, _Nm>::value_type& std::array<_Tp, _Nm>::operator[](size_type) [with _Tp = HeaderBarButtonType; long unsigned int _Nm = 3; reference = HeaderBarButtonType&; size_type = long unsigned int]: Assertion '__n < this->size()' failed.
Redirecting call to abort() to mozalloc_abort
[ExceptionHandler generates a minidump etc.]
Gtk-Message: [timestamp]: Failed to load module "appmenu-gtk-module"
(I would note that to the best of my knowledge I had not included a plugin for decoding widevine in my Firefox setup, and certainly the Firefox 141 instance on the device being used to write this post (same OS) does not include it) -The crash files in the .mozilla folder, meanwhile, consistently list a segfault at address 0x0.
Any advice on diagnosing/solving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if there's any other information that would be helpful.
If it would be more appropriate, I could report this through Mozilla's bugzilla instance, but given the issue seems to be very niche (Fedora's ABRT shows a total of 5 unique affected users in the last few days) I am unsure whether flagging this there would be appropriate.

Sadly, I am now forced to leave firefox. My passwords are getting "forgotten" more and more each day. Did i get hacked? Few passwords like proton mail I don't actually have anywhere else. Auto-Backup of firefox seems to be of the same day as the original??? So it loses the data then saves it twice? who designed this? I'm angry, not at firefox/mozilla. angry at myself for putting my trust in the first place. Chromium doesn't sync so it leaves me with chrome FFS. Does someone has a magic wand to recover the lost data? login.json is same day as original so not an option.

Firefuxxed was refusing to open new tabs so I shut it down and restarted it (always fixes it) and all my pinned and open tabs were gone with no way to recover them, it took me half an hour to manually restore the pinned ones one by one but not all of them as I cannot remember all of them let alone all the open tabs I had (hours of research gone down the toilet).
There should be a way to backup and restore pinned and open tabs so this doesn't happen, the history option does nothing.
OS: Linux Mint 22 fresh install from a week ago Previous version of Firefuxxed updated after this shamossel.

Hello, I have a problem: After an automatic update of the language packs, parts of the Firefox menu (version 126.0) are displayed in EN. Parts in DE. Seems to be related to the update... how can I change this again? I have already changed the language settings. Didn't help...it appeared after an automatic update on May 28. Thanks for an idea :)

Since the latest update, when I right-click on a bookmark or an item in the history list (from the menu or the bookmarks toolbar), I still get the menu that has items like "Open in new tab" or "Edit Bookmark".
However, the focus for the mouse stays on the previous menu, so that I can't click on anything in the "right-click menu", instead it is interpreted as a click in some random item in the previous menu.
Going into troubleshoot mode didn't help, so I don't think it's my configuration causing this.

It has happened now for quite a long while and quite some times that the bookmarks, with the exception of the "Import Bookmarks", disappear from Bookmarks Toolbar.
There was a time when I succeeded in solving the problem by removing the <places.sqlite> file, but or the last 2 instances it did not work.
In the first of these two later instances I resorted finally to reinstalling Firefox after the deletion of <places.sqlite>, <places.sqlite-wal> and <places.sqlite_shm> - I am not sure about the spelling of this last two - without success.
Today, running 144.0 64-bit for artlinux 1.0, that did not work.
I did <pacman -R firefox>, in order to remove it and then <pacman -Su firefox>, to install it but that did not work and to my surprise, my bookmarks appeared on the Library so I removed and installed one more time, making sure to delete the <.mozilla> before installing again.
I just reporting in case it may be helpful to someone.
