I find when I am browsing on Firefox and swipe down on my Macbook trackpad, the browser often interprets even a slightly leftward slant as a command to go back a page. Is there a way to disable the swipe left/previous page function or to make it less sensitive?

how to keep browser from resizing after shutdown? oversized by 20% on restart , happened last night after a uneventful cpu shutdown, upon restart this morning cpu windows enlarged to "large icons" those were reset, open firefox it to was enlarged, reset to 80% zoom , but it will not stay 100% size is NOT 100% size i want or had, how to set so it will stay...and why did it change in first place "on its own" thanx for your help...vic

I would like Firefox to access the Mac OS "Dictionary" for immediate definitions, the way it accesses its own dictionary for spelling, or as Mac's Safari, accesses the Mac dictionary. I see nothing listed in Firefox>Services, nor does the OS's Services Preferences show Firefox as an app to connect services to. I can always get the definition with a right-click on the highlighted word, but I'd like the definition to be a readily available as the spelling.

I simultaneously open two links of a bookmark folder by using the mouse scroller click. This is a most useful action, but once the pages are opened, they have to be re-selected to be pinned. Is it possible to open them in pinned mode?

I use a Firefox account on two different machines- one is a Mac and the other is a Windows machine. I have some programs installed on the Windows machine that installed an extension for Firefox. Those programs are not Mac compatible but because of the same account, those extensions were copied to the Firefox installation on Mac. I was wondering if there is a way to isolate the extensions to just the windows installation? Thanks!

hi, i have a dozen extensions that i wouldn't mind keeping in case i want to use them sometime, though i know you're supposed to keep extensions to a minimum to avoid complications and slowness. Does disabling add-ons avoid the problems just like deleting them altogether would? thanks!

My bookmarks toolbar disappeared. I was able to restore it, but it's blank. Using an add-in, I can show my bookmarks in a side pane. That pane does show a Bookmarks Toolbar folder, which has the expected contents.

Additional issue: how do I rearrange my toolbars. The desired order, from top to bottom is title menu navigation tabs bookmarks

I am in the USA. Every time, on any page or website that I need to provide credit card info, when I click in the box to type in the CC numbers/expiration date/CCV, a window pops up as it should (for auto-fill) with my credit card information. In that window, I can scroll over the different credit cards, click on the one I want to use, and it SHOULD auto-fill into the box where the numbers would normally be typed in. Now, the window still pops up and I can scroll over the credit cards and choose one, but when I click on any of the particular credit cards, the auto-fill doesn't work. The boxes in "settings" are checked to allow auto-fill. It worked for months, then just stopped. Thanks for your assistance!

I am highly distractable by screen movements of any kind, and prefer that nothing on my screen moves unless I ask it to--no autoplay or running ribbons of text or even slideshows with pictures slipping past each other unless I specifically click to make something move. msn.com will no longer allow any of my browser extensions to block display of the home page search box and other items on that same horizontal level in Firefox. The tools to select elements to block only select the entire page. In IceDragon, I can still block individual elements. I complained to msn about that.

Telling me how to restore it and how to make avoid it happens again. The enclosed picture shows the effect. The blank space is as if it was transparent, as I can click on objects behind them (although I cannot see them, as the blank space is not transparent). It is really a nuance. Are there any shortcuts from keyboard to restore it? Most solutions I read do not work as they say things like "click that button in the menu, or toolbar, or so" but they are simply not there!!!! I've been using Elijah Lopez's Matte Black (Red) theme for months. Recently, I think because I added the ClearURLs extension or some other change, certain websites enter some sort of "dark mode" when accessed.

Websites that do this include Twitter, an independent blog, and Youtube.

The website appears normally with the default light theme enabled. In the second photo, the website appears in the "dark mode" with the black Firefox theme enabled.

I have deleted cookies and cache, reinstalled Firefox, and reinstalled Extensions. I think this problem only occurs with dark themes, and nothing else. The moment I change to dark theme, the problem comes back. It is strange because the dark theme was working just fine for months until recently.

How can I keep the dark theme, preferably the same Elijah Lopez's dark theme, while using websites normally and not in this weird "dark theme" style adaptation?

Hi, I have an issue when i goto google.com and try search it always put text in address bar and never in the actual search field. I have tried to change it but can not figure out how. It is very annoying as I have a whole screen for text but it wants to only use the address bar..... Im at the point where I am considering changing browsers due to I can not get use to it and really dislike it.

After the last update to version 95.0 all websites such as github.com changed to dark mode. I am using the dark theme but I still don't want to use dark mode on websites. Is there any way to use the dark theme without using dark mode.

I have been using the theme Dark from Mozilla for years and years, but suddenly, like in the last 3 days or so, it appears that it is forcing every single freaking website to use dark mode, and I don't want it to do that.

I tried the "Colors" option in the "Fonts and Colors" section, but didn't that isn't at all what I want. Thing is, if I change to a "Light Theme", it forces the sites that I want to be in dark mode to be in light mode.

Can anyone help me?

How to do it today?

Have latest version of Firefox Browser on my macbook. Used to be when I "Bookmark Current Tab" I could select where that bookmark was saved but not just goes into toolbox. How can I change that so once again I can save to bookmark folder I want?

I set up firefox to use the search bar, and the first time I used firefox I typed into the search bar and it worked that way; however, each time thereafter when I typed into the search bar the text appeared in the address bar. I have tried resetting the selection without success. Any suggestions?
