Am I understanding this correctly?

HTML backup (bookmarks) doesn't support tags and annotations, but JSON backup does, and JSON backup doesn't preserve the website favicons, but HTML backup does?  

So, what I can do, is restore my (saved) bookmarks using JSON backup, then restore the HTML backup, this would get my tags and annotations, and the website favicons back? But the downside, I will need to remove duplicates?

Hello dear community! My firefox keeps crashing when trying to open a tab or close a tab. I can't replicate it since it happens on random tab-closing and tab-opening. I think it's just crashing when doing something like clicking anywhere and NOT when doing nothing while the system is idling. Thank you for your help! Hey, since 2 months firefox started crashing when a video comes to the end. I tried it in troubleshoot mode skipped to min 10:45/10:50 and played. after this 5 sec it just crashed. I noticed it on youtube but tried it on other players and it also happened. Today I also started a video on a other website and it crashed but not when starting youtube videos.

This bug occurs very randomly, but it seems there have few things in common.

- Occurring on domain level, one domain at once. For example, if Youtube.com stuck, any sub address including each video page is not loaded. Other website and whole browser works fine. - Other program on same PC is not affected, too. - Which page is stop loading is completely random. It might be happen only on a popular, feature-rich site like amazon, google, but not sure. - The timing is also random. Maybe after waking PC up from sleep, but not sure. Frequency of occurrence is once every 1~5 days. - The workaround without restarting browser is 1.)switching to other container tabs(strangely), 2.)opening website on private window. Disabling all the addon manually didn't help.

Since it's randomness, I didn't have any logs about this issue.

For highly encrypted messages and sensitive information each time renewed or discovered for the first time cam be very intimidating for certain people. Based on the facts and past experiences, this has become extremely important to discuss and share knowledge with true and trustworthy people only to ours and others peace of mind and safety.

firefox changed and firefox nolonger lets me get my email, bank account, fidelity account, credit card account etc -- can you help me go back to my old firefox? thank you or do I need to start using another browser?

Is it possible to add Dictionary.com to the Search bar so words entered there are searched at that site?

Previous versions of FF allowed me to map that site to that field.

Right now it's doing a google search for words.

Hi all, I used to run two Firefox instances on the same computer, each one using a different account (as I mentioned in the Subject), but I don't remember how I managed this, so now that I moved to a new computer I can't reproduce it! Thanks for helping, if anyone knows. Regards, Mike

I clicked on a link in an email and FF began opening it. It then stopped and gave a message that the site was causing FF to run slow. That was an understatement, as FF never continued and didn't fully open the site. I copied the URL to Chrome and it had no problem quickly opening the site. What do I need to fix in FF to make it happy again? Please enable the ability to use the "Dark Reader" add-on on this site or let us change it in the settings. Horrible experience in light mode. On the added image you can see that the "Dark Reader" add-on is enabled.
