I have enabled the option to open the previous windows and tabs. I had one window that I always closed last as it had a lot of groups that are important for my work, so it used to open every time I started Firefox. Sometimes, even if I closed the window by mistake without closing other windows, I was able to get it back by pressing ctrl+shift+n.

But yesterday, I might have closed it by mistake and when I pressed ctrl+shift+n , it didn't come back. I wasn't able to access my window and now it's all gone. I don't see anything in recently closed windows in history.

I need those tabs back as they are very important for my work. they were a lot of tabs. I had many groups but now all are gone. I tried by using the previous.jsonlz4 in the sessionstore-backup by renaming it in the default-release profile as sesstionstore.jsonlz4 but still wasn't able to access my window.

I didn't clear my history as the tabs opened in the window still show up in the history.

Kindly help as soon as possible

lost all bookmarks and can not add them back. tried the restarting, importing from Google, etc. Sadly I am off of Firefox after more than 20 years using it. Fortunately Google works fine for me, but I miss Firfox.

After running cc cleaner and even that i de select the book mark and side setting the Firefox Bookmars and history is non functional . i did create a new profile yesterday biut today i have the same Issue. I uninstalled CC CLeaner but i want to restore my Bookmarks system i need help with that. the explanation here are not really helpful

I started my computer bookmarks and password were gone. I can't find them in profiles or I don't know where to find them in profiles. I need this stuff obviously. It takes me forever to reset everything. What if anything can I do?

Firefox installed a new version and my stuff has disappeared. I don't recognize the window at all. I have tried the "restore sessions" but I'm told it can't happen. I need my stuff back.

I restarted my computer, Windows 11, and everything was gone, no passwords nothing. I'm not a computer person but can follow instructions. I'm lost without this,please help. Can I retrieve yesterday's Firefox?

I had around 3000 tabs open I closed the browser completely today. Normally when I reopen firefox all those tabs were appearing still. This time none of the tabs restored I can see tabs in history part namede 19.01.2026 although not all my tabs are there. When ever I try to reload them from the restore history part; firefox doesnt reply and doesnt take the command.

I rebooted my laptop to find that Firefox removed all of my data. I looked up for ways to fix this and then arrived at the conclusion that I could create a profile and set the folder to one of the profiles that weren't listed on Firefox. It seemed to save my history correctly and my saved downloads, but they all said that they were moved or missing. I checked the passwords and instead of the long list of passwords that I normally have, there were only a couple, and the passwords were also sometimes outdated. I cannot recover some of these passwords. I've tried checking the passwords in the other profiles that were listed in the profiles and nothing shows up. None of the cookies were saved either

FireFox Tab Groups can remain closed and be re-opened via "List All Tab Groups"

That's why I use FireFox (v146/v147) and not Edge or Chrome

BUT what worked well these last four months suddenly stopped working TODAY, i.e.

 "List All Tab Groups" has disappeared and all I see are tab groups created today

Sadly I never created any FireFox account until a few minutes ago Does that mean those lost Tab Groups can only be recreated manually or is there an easier way ?

Will this catastrophe happen every time FireFox auto-updates itself on start-up (v147 since Jan13) ???

All of a sudden my bookmarks and history have disappeared and I cannot add new bookmarks. I have researched this and tried everything I could find to fix - namely restarting FF, restarting the PC, renaming places.sqlite, using task manger to locate which app is locking the file. I also used the Places Database to Verify Integrity and here are the results: Task: checkIntegrity - Unable to fix corruption, places.sqlite will be replaced on next startup > Task: checkCoherence - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: expire - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: vacuum - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: stats - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: _refreshUI - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task.

Nothing has worked. Help!

firefox suddenly stopped showing any history or book marks. also no history. i've re downloaded, no change. all works well with chrome but i like firefox. and thoughts?

Help me download a new Firefox app and show me how to find my former apps. I clicked on Profiles and my previous app came up. Now how do i save it into a new app/or save it?
