OK, I have never had this happen with Firefox before but it will just freeze, then do nothing then Explorer will crash, every time. I have no idea why its doing this, my drivers are all up to date, Windows is up to date and theres no viruses on my PC. Its annoying.

Why is this browser crashing after a couple of downloads using the extensions for youtube downloader?i have youtube premium but when i download tunes so i can mix them after roughly 15 mins i have to force quit Firefox ?

Firefox began crashing a few days ago and has crashed during each log in and use today. Most recently trying to download and print documents. I have disabled all extensions, have text file of the Third=Party modules and Submitted Crash Reports.

This morning, Firefox updated automatically to Firefox 144. However, this update completely broke Firefox; every tab crashed, and I couldn't even use Firefox to get to this help site.

Edition Windows 10 Enterprise Version 22H2 Installed on ‎03/‎25/‎2022 OS Build 19045.6332

Changing my OS is not an option for me; those decisions are made far, far away. I was allowed to use Firefox instead of Chrome. Sadly, I have to switch over to Chrome today in order to work.  :(

Just over a week ago, I found that a particular page transition always crashed by browser tab (i.e. a reproducible crash). This occurred on the Quora.com website when visiting the 'Questions' tab for any Quora Space. I am not aware of anything special associated with this operation, and it works OK in Chrome. There may be other cases -- outside of that particular website -- but that is the one most affecting me at the moment.

There are no associated Windows events logged. I checked about:crashes and the Crash Report folder but i cannot find any readable details.

If I refresh the page then the transition occurs without problem.

I would like to find the cause myself because I am on an Windows 7 64-bit ESR version, although I do not believe this is an ESR issue as it was working fine a couple of weeks ago. it is just that I cannot find any logged information on the cause.

THIS IS NOT A WINDOWS ERROR; THIS IS A FIREFOX APPLICATION ERROR. MAYBE SOME OF YOUR FIREFOX DEVELOPER CODERS SHOULD ASSIST THE 32-BIT AND 64-BIT DEVELOPERS. Hey folks, I recently installed a new NVME, clean Windows install, clean Firefox install. Recently I've had seemingly random crashes on tabs, happened a lot with YouTube and seems to happen fairly consistently if I go to my watch history. Other sites seem okay, everything else seems to be working fine, checked my drive, my RAM. This Firefox install is using my Mozilla account for passwords and themes. I recently swapped to firefox and have had issues with my tabs crashing. There are days where a tab will repeatedly crash, or not at all. It always crashes on 1 tab. I've tried most of the suggested solutions, profiles change, addon troubleshooting, hardware acceleration, updating/reinstalling. Currently on windows 11.

Im experiencing crashes in and out of troubleshoot mode, often several in a row. The drivers on my device have no futher updates and Im unsure what to do. I upgraded my Dell PC to Windows 11 yesterday via Windows Update, since support for Windows 10 is ending. Now Firefox crashes often when I close the browser. Everything works fine while I'm using Firefox, it's only when I close the browser that sometime later I will get a crash message on my desktop. I have tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, and the problem persists. From what I can tell, there's some process which is ongoing after the browser is closed, which isn't terminating properly and that's why it's crashing. I have submitted several crash reports, but don't know how to post them here.[bp-2e2d8f06-4c87-43a6-8b32-b0f5a0251006]

I asked this question before and in response to a request upload the crash reports. But have heard nothing since. This is now happening daily. PLEASE, Mozilla, help me (and NBTW I make reg gifts in response to your appeals).

Is it a known issue that opening JIRA web pages immediately crashes and closes the Firefox browser on Windows 11. It never happened on Windows 10 however due to Windows 10 end of life we've been forced to upgrade at work. Now this crashes on a key webpage (we're software delevelopers). So we might have to change to Chrome which I really don't want to do. It would be great if you could find any or many crash reports I've filed and fix the issue.

Why do I have to keep signing up with you? What causes this? I"m happy with your service yet periodically, I keep getting transferred to Windows because Mozilla is not responding when I attempt to log on. Then it is necessary to go through the whole process of signing up again. Please bear in mind I am not computer literate. Thank you.

Since a few weeks I have been encountering an issue where tabs in Firefox would frequently crash. I do have various add-ons installed, however I haven't installed any new ones around the time the issue has been occurring. I've been unable to track down which add-on or if any add-on might be causing this.

Trying to search for this issue all I could come up with is that it might be an issue of a faulty CPU. I have an i9-13900KF which has been known to be part of the Intel generation with serious flaws. However I already installed a BIOS update and applied Intel's recommended settings to undervolt the CPU to prevent any issues. This was well before the Firefox tab crashing issue happened. So I'm not sure if it can really be the issue of a faulty CPU, but I've also had issues of other programs randomly crashing recently (like Discord or Steam).

The tab crash can occur on any website, for example Youtube, Duckduckgo, Protonmail, etc. The crash reason always is either "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ" or just "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". The crash also most of the time (but not always) occurs when loading the page itself or a video / live stream on it. But not when browsing an already loaded page (for example this forum post page I'm writing right now).
