Hi, This latest upgrade has removed the ability to open new windows in another tab its either off or new tab/window with no ability to select which I do prefer to have all my pages open in new tabs not new pages every time have I missed something? or is there a way to get this altered in future versions I have now had to resort to another browser which does allow this

Some years ago I set up an own firefox sync serven on a Rasperry Pi. Yesterday Firefox updated to Version 80 and now i can't sync anymore. There is a message "Connect with your account (again)" or similar - german version)) but after connecting (enter mailadress and password) the same message pops up again. And i am unable to sync :((( Any ideas how to fix this problem? I really want my own sync server instead of cloud services. "My data belongs to me" - you know.

Context: after upgrading FF I started using the new version the day after. I always set FF to open with the tabs I was using before exiting. When I opened FF I got a bunch of youtube offline notifications as usual. I didn't get twitter offline notifications but this happens from time to time. Eventually notifications from yt stopped but I only noticed it many hours later when I tried to Push notifications on twitter https://twitter.com/settings/push_notifications I got this as a result: Unsupported browser It looks like your browser doesn’t support push notifications. Important most likely: when I was working during the afternoon FF started lagging I got impatient so I ended the heaviest FF process with Windows Task Manager. I could continue working normally. Trying to find a fix on google I ended up here: about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox#serviceworkers

The YT service worker always shows:

• Stopped - Not listening for fetch events

But the twitter service worker shows Stopped (if twitter isn't open yet) and 'running' if it is open. However it always shows no matter if it's running or not: Listening for fetch events

In Debugging - runtime Youtube Service worker I clicked: 'Start' (it showed running instead of stopped)+ 'Push'

Tons of offline yt notifications popped up at the right corner of the screen as usual, I did notice though that they were offline, they weren't happening at that moment. After like a minute again showed the same: * Stopped - Not listening for fetch events

For twitter Service Worker it showed it was running so I clicked 'Push' instead of tons of offline notifications from people I follow and followers I got only one notification pop at the bottom from twitter itself saying: New notification, I clicked it and it took me to twitter notifications where all of them are. I tried pushing notifications on here: https://twitter.com/settings/push_notifications but again: Unsupported browser - It looks like your browser doesn’t support push notifications. The Service Worker keeps saying: Listening for fetch events

Is there anything I can do to make it work all the time as it used to? What about doing a FF restore to some days ago? In the past doing that sorta restore helped but with a very different issue. However could it work? Any other fixes that I should try?

The image attached shows a Service Worker for spotify but I never allowed a notification from it, that I can remember? If I did, I never got any.

I can no longer successfully click on online links to open certain file types that I use. All I get is a page of garbage in Firefox. I can't delete the types because they are not there, but clicking on them does not ask me what action I want - just opens the garbage page. Filetypes happen to be .mscz (musescore) and.ove (overture) and I had working associations until the latest update.

Suddenly, when I access Yahoo Mail through Firefox, I no longer have any contacts when I click on the Contacts button (shows "No Contacts"). This issue just started and is unique to Firefox because if I access Yahoo Mail through Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browsers, all of my contacts are there. I have tried clearing the cache and clearing cookies to no avail. All other email functions still work properly in Firefox. Any suggestions?

Hello. I am having the same issue as another user, but they flagged their question as solved so I'm making a new one just in case.

I can't login properly to YouTube, only in Firefox, even after clearing cache and cookies and disabling add-ons/running safe mode. I can login to my Google account, view my playlists and recommended videos (although the main page with recommendations only shows 5 lines of videos and when scrolling further is not loading). I can't make any edits, for example add videos to the "Watch Later" playlist, that require a login. When I click login, Google shows the 405 error "The request method GET is inappropriate for the URL /youtubei/v1/browse/edit_playlist. That’s all we know." or with other URL, depending on the action taken.

What can I do? Thank you.

I use Send Tab to Device all the time. To my phone, my tablet, my work & home laptops. Except recently, the tab I send won't show up on my phone. Notifications are enabled. I can send from my phone to my work laptop. I can send from my work to home laptop. But to the phone, it says sent, and nothing ever arrives. Everything is synced. What else can I do?

Embedded videos at a particular website do not play in FF 80.0.1 (64 bit). My system is running Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS.

I have tried workarounds but none have provided a remedy. There could be a bug in FF causing this but I'm not sure.

This is the behaviour I see: After I click the play button in the lower left of the embedded frame the video begins to load. The beginning of an ad flashes into the video box but cuts out before playing. The video box is then loaded with the first shot of vision I wish to view but does not play.

I use four FF profiles with various modifications to improve privacy and security. When these changes occasionally cause problems with website function I try loading the website in a FF profile with reduced security/privacy controls. Modifications include changes to privacy and security settings, browser extensions and about:config changes.

Cascading through profiles with a step-wise reduction in the number of modifications still wouldn't permit me to play videos from this site. Even my vanilla FF profile with only a few UI tweaks does not play the video. After that I tried loading problematic pages in a brand new, freshly created vanilla FF profile to which no changes had been made. Videos still wouldn't play in a pristine profile with zero user modifications.

My internet connection comes via a smartphone mobile hotspot. The phone has a system level ad blocker running (Android phone, Blokada app) but switching it off did not allow the videos to play.

After that I tried a different browser. I installed Brave browser via Snap. Version 1.13.82 Chromium: 85.0.4183.83 (Official Build) (64-bit)

It played the video first time. Therefore internet connection to site is good. Did not load advertisement at start of video, no flash of ad content. When the video panel is loaded in Brave a large yellow play button is superimposed on the first frame of the video. The button is a yellow circle with a right-pointing yellow triangle inside it. Clicking the white play button in the lower left corner of the embedded video frame does not play the video. Clicking the large superimposed yellow icon initiates video play.

I'd be grateful for advice on how to rectify this problem.

It is possible to clear all the cookies from a website in Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-cookies-and-site-data-firefox In my case, I would like to clear only authentication cookies (to be automatically disconnected when I close Firefox) but I want to keep the other cookies about my preferences. However, I can select on which websites I want to clear my cookies but I can't select which ones.

Is there a way to select the list of cookies I want to keep/clear for each websites?

I've been an avid user of Firefox Monitor for the past few months, but recently over the last few days when I go to https://monitor.firefox.com/user/dashboard and log in, I've been struggling to find the button that allows me to add new email addresses. I've searched the support article for Monitor for this information, but to no avail: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-monitor. I'm beginner in development. Today I'm working on some CSS files.

But when I reload, the content don't load the new features. I've try to clear cache, remove stockage on the console , and also try command + f5 (on iMac).

The only one solution I've founded is to clear cache , leave firefox , shutdown computer and restart.

I have a laser printer set as default on a Windows 10 laptop. In Mozilla, when I select print, that laser printer has the green default check, but Mozilla defaults to Microsoft Print to PDF instead. How can I get Mozilla to accept the default printer without deleting Print to PDF which I do sometimes use but don't want as default? Image attached--it auto-checks PDF but you can see the laser listed above it is the default.

Hi, How can I get rid out of this "pop-up" from Google (attach) which is now always popping over my browsing search, without open one Google's account ? Cookies block on Firefox 80.0.1 does nothing on this issue ... What to do ? KR Thanks !

I have my preferences to set to keep my logged and save cookies, but lately I have been getting logged out of websites I use regularly such as Reddit, GMail, Yahoo. History is set to clear when I close my browser because I don't need to be reminded that I searched for random words so I could spell them correctly.

This morning for example, I signed into Reddit because I had gotten signed out since last night. Did my reading. Closed my browser. Came back. Opened Reddit again and was signed out. It doesn't happen every time I close my browser. I may stay signed in for a few days with no issue or, like this morning, I don't stay signed in for very long. I even got a message that I wasn't signed in on tab I opened from another tab.

Is this a bug? Some undocumented feature?

It's not all bad though since it keeps me from constantly checking FB which I use 2FA for and hate going through.

I paid Firefox $28 for unmarked videos. Now the mark, the stamp in the corner of the video, is back. I would like my money back or the non-stamped videos back. Who do I see about that?

Recently my laptop was fixed by Dell (under warranty) and its motherboard was replaced. Since then tabs crash from time to time, a few time every hour. Sometimes upon opening a new URL sometimes while working. It writes "Gah. Your tab just crashed." Sometimes clicking "Recover" helps, sometimes it crashes again and I need to click it more times. It can happen in many varied sites: Whatsapp web, Google Docs, Gmail, eCommerce website and so on. I updated my Windows update, my Firefox and the graphic driver to the latest version, with no help. I wanted to go back to 80 because I didn't like 81. When I dl'd & installed 80, it told me that I had to make a new profile, otherwise my bookmarks might be corrupted. I did that, but now all my bookmarks & extensions are gone. Help!!!
