I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I love Firefox but it has a market share of just around 7% and is even lower than Edge (which is terrible IMO). Chrome has the most users at around 65%.

Although Firefox is a much better browser, the perception for many is that Chrome is better due to much faster browser loading. I have Chrome and Firefox installed on Windows 11 with the same extensions and Chrome loads my home page in 2 sec whereas Firefox takes 7 sec to load. Even after deleting all cookies, cache and web history, Firefox still takes 7 sec to load my home page.

It's great to prioritize security, flexibility etc and I love these aspects of Firefox, but by not doing something to improve the awful loading times, you are leaving users with the impression that Firefox is inferior and LOSING the browser battle.

When I created my account FF did not prompt me for the login information. When I return to the site FF does not respond to the login request. I have been using FF for years and never had it not respond to login request. I do not receive any errors

I just noticed this today.

I checked on multiple Youtube pages. It's occurring with both Firefox and Chrome, but Brave and android are not affected.

I don't have a channel, but I tried enabling the YouTube setting "allow comments", but no help.

Also,

Cleared cookies and cache, and it doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not.

I have several YouTube theme/behavior related apps, that are also installed on Brave, I disabled them, but nothing changed.

So I just updated to version 109.0 of Firefox, and I spotted something new in the thing. I see something called 'extensions' right next to the icon for open applications menu. I tried to drag this into the list of things you could hide in the customize toolbar section and there seems to be no way to remove it via right click either. Can someone help here?

I'm including an image of the icon in a screenshot, with a red box indicating the icon/tab/whatever in question.

I contacted my bank to find out why their site no longer worked with Firefox and they had me refresh my Firefox settings, and now I'm not able to log in to certain pages using my passwords. The login pages say either my username or password is incorrect but they're not. When I click on "Forgot password" and give my email address, it says they'll send me an email to reset my password, but the email never comes.

How can I get my old settings back?

HI, i deleted my firefox while cleaning up, had 2 downloaded for some reason. All of my toolbar and saved stuff is gone! I thought it had it synced but its going to my old email at a company i dont work for anymore. Any way to recover this? And thanks! Tom

Where is FireFox Colorways in new version 109? Those --Balanced-- Themes Are Not Available In themes search!!!! For example i want Colorways Innovator -> Balanced Where can i download it?

The WidevineCDM plugin crashes on all streaming services that use it.

I've tried disabling/enabling the plugin, uninstalling my extensions, clearing my cache, refreshing and reinstalling firefox as suggested by other threads I've seen. So far nothing has worked.

Firefox always uses excessive GPU memory when I watch video and livestream. about:memory shows that the explict GPU memory allocation is only about 200 MB but in the task manager the GPU memory usage is 1GB, and the latter doesn't decrease even if I close the tab. I suspect that this is a memory leak. I searched for Bugzilla and found a similar issue that has been existing for years: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1386177

Screen data is displayed upside down and backwards - currently booting either Ubuntu or Windows 10 separately - the Windows 10 boot has no problems with either Microsoft Edge or Firefox - the problem occurs when booting Ubuntu with Firefox. Since updating ro Firefox 109 there is a new addon button that cant be moved. I dont care that the button is in the interface, I just need to move it out of the way. A big part of Firefox appeal is being able to customize it, adding buttons that arent movable is just ridiculous.

Hi. I bought new pc, and i'm trying to set up mozilla with all my passwords and bookmarks, from old pc. But after i logged in, bookmarks and passwords dont appear in a browser. I had so much important stuff there that im now kinda scared. Thanks for any help in advance

I use FireFox with Windows 10.

Recently I had a website that would not allow me to pay no matter what. Their Techs had me do EVERYTHING - - including deleting and changing all kinds of settings. Still nothing worked. (I don't even know how to get back normal settings, but I don't trust anyone and have all kinds of permissions turned off). Then they told me it was a problem with their website. This process took over 6 hours speaking with many multiple morons worldwide.

Now, another website will not function normally - it says SEC_ERROR_REVOKED_CERTIFICATE.

How can I fix this?

I already emailed and told them to renew their certificate.

Any ideas?

Started up Firefox this morning and was prompted for some updates and settings changes. Decided to skip those as there was something i wanted to do. Now I have no sound in Firefox, on any site. tested local files in VLC player and i have sound. even uninstalled and reinstalled my sound device. still no sound in Firefox. i do have sound in chrome. so it is a firefox issue. and 2 reboots have not resolved it. need to know what to check next ? please and thank you.

Firefox applied an update and now there is a puzzle piece icon on my toolbar for extensions at the top right. I have tried to edit my toolbar but that icon can't be moved, removed, or hidden and it's where my bookmarks icon usually is which is messing with my work flow a lot. I work very fast and have years of muscle memory of clicking the first icon at the top right to open bookmarks and now I keep opening extensions.

I have many bookmark folders with many items in each folder. Some folders have many,many items in those individual folders. To scroll down the many items I have in a folder takes time. Is there any shortcut I can use to get to the end of the list in a folder without scrolling down for five minutes to get to the end of a list? I have looked in the Firefox website but I have not seen this question. I have many folders that have a lot of items I have bookmarked. Thanks for any help you can give.

Currently running Firefox v109. Problem existed with 108.0.2 also. Probably only a week or two before that, downloading pdf ran fine.

Downloading a pdf from Firefox "Failed". If I switch in Settings to open in a new Firefox window, it also fails.

Currently running Adobe Acrobat XI Professional locally.

Am able to download a pdf from Chrome successfully.
