Bookmarks keep changing to globe ocon and nothing happens when I cilck on them. I have tried suggested solutions but without success. Can I get technician to access my laptop and sort out like with other Apps support etc?

I have uninstalled Adobe Acrobat from my Mac Mini running Sequoia OS. Acrobat is not listed in my Firefox extensions. Yet, when I open a PDF from a link in an email, it opens in Acrobat (clearly announced as such with its logo) in a Firefox tab. Also, I have my Firefox setting for PDF files set to "Open in Firefox".

Acrobat is a vicious plague on my life, and I want it gone. Please assist me in ridding it from my Firefox use.

I have a warning underneath my bookmark ribbon that says, "The security sandbox is disabled. Your configuration is unsupported and less secure." What is the security sandbox and what configuration is needed so that it supports the security sandbox. What happens if this security sandbox is disabled while I'm running Firefox?

I'd like to start by thanking the Mozilla Firefox dev team for the newest iteration of the profiles feature. I think it's great.

One area where I think it could use improvement from usability perspective is a way to launch a specific profile via the right-click menu when using the taskbar icon. Currently, using the "Choose a profile when Firefox opens" only gives users the option to select the profile on the initial launch of Firefox. After that if the user opens a new window via the taskbar, the most recently opened profile is automatically chosen.

I managed to find a "hack" to add the requested capability. It seems adding an action to the "firefox.desktop" file in the "/usr/share/applications/" directory works the way I'd like it to.

Modifications to "firefox.desktop" Changed line 12 to: Actions=choose-profile;new-window;new-private-window;open-profile-manager; Added lines 529 - 534 (before Desktop Action new-window): [Desktop Action choose-profile] Exec=firefox --new-instance Name=Choose Profile Name[en_US]=Choose Profile Name[en_CA]=Choose Profile Name[en_GB]=Choose Profile

The end result is a new option available when right clicking the taskbar that opens the new profile selector. Screencaps of options before and after attached. I imagine that users will need to have the "Choose a profile when Firefox opens" enabled for this to work as expected, but would like someone from Mozilla to confirm this.

Would like to request that this option be built into Firefox going forward, so there's no need for users to "tweak" it to get this functionality.

We have a question about bookmarks sync, with specific characteristics, please.

We purchased another computer, a laptop, and wish to benefit from the bookmarks sync between them. However, we're affraid of a backward syncing situation. How can we make sure we prevent that?

For example, say we worked on the desktop for a week, and then need to use the laptop. What should we do when we turn the laptop on and open ff browser, if we wish to sync from the desktop to the laptop? Do we press the Sync button on the laptop? - or will that force a backward synching from the laptop to the desktop? If that's the case, than how do we sync reliabely? And let's say the day after, from the now-updated-laptop to the desktop? Is the safest way to do it by turning the sync option off, and copying the bookmarkbackup folder from one updated computer to the other?

Also, this may complicate things a bit - We use the browser bookmarks in a non traditional way. It's kind of an archive for us. The .jsonlz4 file size in bookmarkbackups folder is 37MB. We remember reading somewhere before, the server backups stores files up to 10MB. So, question is, does the large size or the bookmarks file will affect the synching process between computers?

Bookmarks in Firefox disappeared and cannot import my Bookmarks backup. I have tried to restore an older Bookmark file through /manage bookmarks/ import and backup/restore to no avail. thank you

Getting "Mozilla Firefox Crash Reporter" problem message when attempting to print files (Docs & Sheets) from Google Cloud. Errors messages have appeared on Lenova Thinkpad laptop in Firefox since mid Dec update. Can print existing files located on desktop, just not from cloud. Both HP and Epson Printers test fine, can print 'test pages'. Tried downloading files from cloud to pc....opening downloads, got same Firefox problem message and crashed. Have used same firefox browser and same printers for several years. Rebooted several times, same error. Can print, 'printer test pages'. Do I have a switch turned off/on or is this a browser problem. Any assistance would be appreciated.

After checking for updates I will then go to SETTINGS> IT clearly shows that I am running Windows 11 PRO.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY IN PLACES THAT ARE TRACKING ME AND TAKING MY PERSONAL INFORMATI0N, THAT IT SH0WS OR SAYS THAT I am running Windows 10? I often see it if I sign into one of the many different accounts that require 2 factor authentication, which will send me a notification alerting me that someone has signed into my account from a NEW DEVICE. OR FROM AN UNKNOWN DEVICE. That is when they ask if I recognize this login and it shows device and location from which the login attempt is happening. IF I answered honestly, (because it is showing a login attempt happening from a (WINDOWS 10 SYSTEM) and my system shows Me that it is running Windows 11 PR0: it would flag as suspicious and my account would get locked up for sure. Instead, because of the odd hour of the night it occurs, that combined with the location I know it is myself and even though it says "ON A SYSTEM RUNNING WIND0WS 10", I force myself to lie and answer that I do recognize the attempt. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP FIND A SOLUTI0N TO THIS ERROR. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

When I play YouTube videos in Firefox, the video stutters and drops frames, even when set to 480p. The audio continues to play normally. This issue does not happen in Chrome on the same laptop.

The problem started about a week ago. I’m using Firefox on Windows 11. Restarting Firefox did not resolve the issue. I’ve attached screenshots for reference.

I have messenger loaded but with Firefox i can not video call when i want to call a friend or family. I have no way to call any one i do have a web cam. do i need to go to Chrome every time i want to call. Messenger has stopped desktop messenger that was how i could call but now i can not is there some way to Facebook video call on Firefox please let me know thanks I want to stay with Firefox why is there no way to get video calls on Facebook??

Hello! See the screenshot please: so, I downloaded à pay-bill, with Firefox (under ubuntu), in private navigation, and I get the file with a padlock-symbol at the end. What means that? What means that for me (on my computer), what means that for à friend, when I sent him the pdt-file (can he open it?). Nota: I understood that I can choose between "delete downloads when closing the privat window" or not. And I choosed not to delete them (but there appears this padlock-symbol). Thanks for your help! I just installed Mozilla VPN but when it's active my internet connection stops working. Pretty sure whatever protocol it's using is the problem with the WIFI signal, but I can't find how to change the protocol like every other VPN service allows. How do I change the VPN protocol? There is strangely no article already on this site for this common problem.

Recently, I've been noticing an issue with Firefox's built in Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature. When watching media, such as a YouTube video, using PiP, the video runs as normal, but recently, the PiP completely breaks when I tab away from my Firefox window to do something in a different app. This wasn't the case a few months ago, so I'm not sure what changed to make this error happen. I had attempted to disable hardware acceleration to see if that was the issue, and nothing changes when it's enabled versus when it's disabled.

I created multiple profiles with the new [management] feature. Amazing, I've been waiting for it for years!

If I open all my profiles I can distinguish them since they all have a different icon. I can also pin all the profiles (Keep in Dock) to the MacOS dock.

When I quit all Firefox instances, I would like to be able to immediately jump back to the desired profile.

Instead I get multiple Firefox icons (without the icon profile, that disappear after I quit Firefox). I find this inconvenient.

Hello, Randomly but frequently enough to be annoying, Firefox freezes my entire laptop. I have windows 11. It freezes so badly that I have to hold down the on/off button until it goes off. I looked it up outside of Firefox help and, per suggestions, turned off the hardware accelerator. That seemed to work for a little while but now it's happening again with greater frequency. There doesn't seem to be any exact situation that causes it which makes it very hard to diagnose. But it's enough that I'm thinking of looking for another browser so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
