You guys keep hijacking my browser and stopping all my work on a near weekly basis. Shutting down my ability to work on projects and stopping my browser from functioning in the middle of use. I can't even pay bills without you guys interrupting my browser with your bullcrap.

This is unacceptable. I've gone through great lengths trying to stop you from hijacking my browser. I installed a policy generator and followed the instructions to put a policy in. I uninstalled Firefox's background updater tool. I disabled automatic updates in the settings to the best of my ability.

I've gone through everything I can think of trying to stop your forced updates. Its unethical what Mozilla is doing to its users. I even tried to lock policies with admin only authorizations but firefox couldn't read the file anymore when I did that. I did confirm today that the policy file was still working, when Firefox ignored it and shut down my browser till I restarted it. I confirmed that Firefox is blatently ignoring policies.

I just checked and Background Maintnence was installed again when I didn't want it. You're now installing software against my will too? What the hell is going on.

Nowhere AT ALL does it warn you that it will WIPE your current installation and RESET everything. I had no ideas and had not saved up the content of my OneTab extension in a while, FUCKING THANK YOU FOR THAT.

That's it. Fuck you.

Once again, when I updated Firefox, it changed a LOT of my settings, including displaying the toolbar and open tabs bar.

When this happened last - months ago - it seems Mozilla realized this had happened to a lot of users, and managed to restore us to all the information that had been "lost".

I hope you can do that again, and can find a way to not put at least ME, and I'd bet a lot of other users, through the OMG!!! What do I do NOW?! panic.

Happy Holidays.

I am currently running Firefox on desktop (128.4.0esr) version.

The last few addons that I have installed are not working properly. Or rather, they work just fine, but when I close Firefox and re-open it later, they seem to fail to actually enable. I must go to the about:addons page, disable the addon, and then re-enable it for it to actually work. If I do not do this, it will not be on my toolbar, and the Extensions sidebar button does not show the addon in the list. It's as if it isn't properly installed.

After reading this post: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1420017 I thought maybe my extensions db got corrupted somehow, so I followed their instructions and deleted the extensions.databaseSchema config. And wouldn't you know it, it worked! Once I restarted Firefox, I saw some notifications in the main sidebar menu and was greeted with this: Notifications Once I clicked through them and enabled, everything seemed fine.

However after closing firefox again, the problem comes back. Those exact extensions that I manually approved upon restarting are the ones that are giving me troubles and not enabling properly. An interesting thing I noticed is that these all seem to be extensions that require additional permissions. I enabled the addon and gave them the permissions they requested, so I don't know why they are failing to enable properly on startup.

I want to permanently fix the problem

Team, I am a longtime user and supporter of FF. I can't tell you how much I love the the layout of Firefox on Windows in v. 133 with the vertical tabs. Just as important is the fantastic, new font rendering. Thank you so much. I used to make multiple adjustments to the font in about:config when I installed FF on Windows. Now, the fonts look fantastic out of the box. Great job, team!

I'm not able to uninstall PWA apps created in Firefox 143.0.1 using Windows 11 usual uninstalling procedure. If i click "uninstall" in Windows Start Menu the app remains installed. PWA apps created with Firefox do not show on Windows 11 installed apps list so I cannot uninstall them. I haven't found any guide on the web on how to uninstall PWA created from Firefox. So, how can I effectively uninstall those PWA apps? Thank you in advance for your kind answer. Regards.

Hello,

I've tried running "firefox -P". I've also tried deleting ~/.mozilla. No matter what I do, I still keep getting this message.

OS: Linux 6.10.13-3-MANJARO Firefox versions: firefox 131.0.3-1 installed from the Arch repo via pacman; also firefox-132.0.2 installed from tarball downloaded from firefox.com and unpacked as /opt/firefox.

With firefox 131.0.3-1, I get the following error message:

[Parent 33389, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: process 33445 exited on signal 9: file /usr/src/debug/firefox/firefox-131.0.3/ipc/chromium/src/base/process_util_posix.cc:335

With firefox-132.0.2, no messages are printed.

What is even more confounding: I have 2 user accounts on this computer. When I login as myself, I get this popup. When I login as the other user, firefox opens up fine.

I've already looked at the following, but that has not helped. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-run-firefox-when-profile-missing-inaccessible https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1327628 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1396772 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1454745

I'd be most grateful if someone could please suggest any other alternatives to try. Thanks!
