Sometimes, for no apparent reason, on my Win 11 ASUS laptop, Firefox will suddenly use a lot of resources, such that the temperature jumps from about 50 degrees to 95 degrees and the fan runs full speed. It appears the only way to stop it, is to close FF then reopen. What might cause that?

On a random basis, sites like msn.com, yahoo mail or outlook.com will freeze. Sometimes they may suddenly come back to life, but the normal fix is delete tab and restart tab. Long videos may also freeze. Have cleared history, and changed optimization setting but nothing helps. On 151.0.2 64 bit.

I've been having an issue of, whenever I tab into Firefox from a different application on my computer, the alt menu opens. Firefox seems to be interpreting me opening the program as pressing the alt key, because even when I have the menu bar set to always be open, the input immediately goes to the "File" dropdown option of the menu, just as it would if I pressed the alt key. However, I tried to troubleshoot this by 1. opening a program that tracks keyboard inputs and that didn't show such a thing happening, and 2. I checked if this issue was happening with other applications that have switch the input to the upper menu bar when the alt key is pressed, and that was not the case. This is making it a lot harder to use Firefox, as using a keyboard shortcut to open a new window (ctrl+shift+p, or ctrl+i) while in a normal Firefox tab, it will not automatically open to the new window (as it is set to do automatically), it will also not let me open the new window -- either by alt-tabbing or by clicking the new window on the windows taskbar -- and instead reopens the alt menu and sets the input to that menu, locking me to the original Firefox page unless I tab into a completely different application and then into the new window. This issue also makes me unable to input key commands or text into my active tab immediately when I reopen it, instead forcing me to close the alt menu first either or clicking somewhere on the page. And since I don't keep the alt menu visible at all times, this forces the screen to shift up and down jarringly when I'm simply trying to use the computer.

I'm using Firefox on a Windows 11 computer. I've tried refreshing Firefox and have tried my absolute best to find articles related to this issue but to no luck. Thanks for any help or advice!

I am facing a recurring issue while browsing websites on Firefox. This happened even before the latest upgrade. Only it is worse after this last software upgrade.

After using the browser for 1–2 minutes, the browser gets stuck or becomes unresponsive. While scrolling through websites, the full page does not load properly, and parts of the webpage suddenly become blank. In many cases, the existing tab cannot even be refreshed. I have to close the program, wait a few minutes and reopen. Very frustrating. I have been using Firefox for many years and this is the most unstable I have ever seen it. For some reason, the Menu Bar kept coming up, even after I disabled it. I tired a few about:config things, the one that seemed to work was to disable the ALT key. But I still can't click anything in a game with my mouse while firefox is open. I have two monitors. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I've looked around the internet and I can't seem to find my exact problem. Please, please help!

whenever i scroll trough a website in firefox, the ewperience is very laggy, feels like its 15fps. i have done basic things like disabling hardware acceleration, smooth smooth scrolling.

Everything is gone from the browser today. There is no content in the menu at the top right, except for keyboard shortcuts. When I type in the search bar, nothing happens, and clicking the + to open a new tab does nothing either. My account is still showing at the top, I am signed in and the profile looks fine. I can't "refresh" the browser from the menu, as that is not an option.

UPDATE: FIXED - Today, April 13 - everything is back - I guess Firefox fixed itself.

When my system slows down and takes forever to download, I go to task manager and find 15-20 entries for Firefox when I have only 1 or 2 pages open. Why are they continuing to pile up and slow down my machine and how do I stop it from happening?

When firefox is loaded and as high as 13 can load. If go to task master and search for firefox it shows 13. If I try to delete 1 file all are deleted. If I delete firefox and try to add it again it says I already have firefox loaded.

I am a user and not good at using all sort of commands etc

Been using Firefox for over a decade. But lately is has become so slow now. Often freezes up if more than two tabs are open or a website is in any way very complex. What settings and issues should I check? What has changed? I can run the same sites on Brave and Edge browsers with no issues or not nearly as slow and bogged down.

I am a home health nurse, and I use Firefox to enter my notes on my visits, but very often, I get a message when I try to save my work to Wait Until Page Finishes Loading and I have to start over, makes me want to switch to another browser.

I've been using Tabliss on Firefox without any issues, but immediately after updating to Firefox 151.0, a frustrating new loading delay started happening.

Prior to the update, new tabs loaded instantly. Now, whenever I open a new tab, the page sits on a completely blank screen for about 2 seconds before the Tabliss layout, background image, and widgets finally pop in.

Because this issue did not exist at all before version 151.0, it seems like the latest browser update changed how extension-based new tabs are cached or initialized, causing a new rendering bottleneck.

После включения ПК бывает, что я не могу ввести текст в браузере.(как буд-то включается режим только для чтения, что не позволяет текст ввести). горячие клавиши работают, но текст не вводиться только в браузере. Оно само по себе проходит. Как это исправить?
