I can not seem to find the button to open a saved, closed tab group. I have googled, and there seems to be a lot of people with the same issue. However, None of the information given under those forums provides me with a clear, easy solution. Please help.

Hyperlinks keep opening in new windows, not in the same/existing window where they were selected. Issue is not unique to Google Search results and occurring across multiple websites. At wits end trying to figure this one out. I have deselected the "Open links in tabs instead of new windows", turned off all extensions, and uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox. Issue is still occurring. Attached is image of my tab selections showing all turned off.

Hello everyone, Until a few days ago, Firefox version 140.12.0esr included a button to "Save windows and tabs of the current! session." Unfortunately, this feature is no longer available in the current version, 152.0.1. However, for many Firefox users, saving the windows and tabs of the current! session is absolutely essential. What options are there now to resolve this issue? I would appreciate any suggestions! If there is no way to restore this feature, I, too, will unfortunately have to switch browsers after 20 years as a Firefox user. Many thanks in advance for your help and any information. I started using a tab group to organize my tabs and save it. I was able to open it from the overflow menu before but now there is no trace of it there. Surely there is a way to see the history of tab groups and recover it right...

In the previous version of Firefox, there was a location to save current tabs in the "Home" section is that still available? Where is it?

I had about 15 pinned tabs - unloaded - that I was saving for a research project. I shut my PC down and when powered up for the next session - all the pinned tabs were gone. I never thought to record the tabs via screen shot or something.

Is this normal - what are the limits of pinned tabs ? Do they expire in a day ? When the PC powers down ? When Firefox updates ?

Exactly what are the limits or boundaries for pinned tabs ?

We hate this useless so-called feature and you've completely failed to give us an OFF switch! It's been many months with countless complaints and still no OFF switch! We've had this conversation before, all of your ideas must come with an OFF switch, especially so for the dumb ones like tab pinning! You don't ever force this dumb crap on us, ever!

Where is the fkin OFF switch already!?!?!?

I created a few virtual hosts and sites on my local machine and this is working perfectly.

Problem is with Firefox, when I enter non-existant url in address bar, Firefox force me to search and don't let me to open the url, but I need to go to this url for testing, developing, etc...

Any solution?

does Firefox plan to implement the functionality to group tabs? such functionality is basic for many other browsers. and it's strange to use add-ons for the most popular browser.

Sometimes drag functionality stops working. I can't grab a tab to move it to another position or to a new window. (Holding left click on the tab and moving the cursor does nothing). Also, re-merging the tab with another firefox window stops working. (Dragging a tab to a firefox window from another firefox window doesn't merge them. It does nothing) I can right click on the tab and select Move to move it to a new window but dragging stops working. I have to close Firefox and start it again (sometimes twice), then dragging starts working again. This happens multiple times a day. I am on Linux Mint and the version is 126.0 (64-bit). This problematic behavior has only recently began.

I've been having problems with my PC, so I decided to reset Windows to see if it would help. I was able to restore my old bookmarks but I can't for some reason find a way to restore my old tabs. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't like the default homepage provided by Firefox, so I found an extension that can offer better tabs. But when I open Firefox, my homepage doesn't show the page provided by the extension. It's still Firefox's default homepage. Only when I open a new tab will the page provided by the extension appear. Also, the settings don't offer the option to replace Firefox's default homepage with the page provided by the extension. I need to replace the homepage from Firefox's default homepage to the tab provided by the extension.

Is there a feature or add-on that will allow me to see all of my tabs, about 60, in a double menu instead of crammed, forcing me to use the horizontal arrows to scroll? I'd prefer to see them all at once and have them accessed immediately.

Hello, I used to have Microsoft Teams as a pinned tab (in fact I think it was my first pinned tab), which I no longer need as I now have the Teams app on my computer. I have tried unpinning the Teams tab but whenever I close & reopen Firefox, it reappears - it doesn't show up initially, but will pop up 5-10 seconds after Firefox starts (my other pinned tabs show up straight away) - so I have to close it each time. Not a big issue I know but kinda annoying - any suggestions/solutions?

hello, running win11, ff128. the tabs are currently located at the top of the window, just above the address bar.

how can the tab bar be relocated to the bottom of the screen / window directly above the taskbar?

a long time ago there was an extension "tabmixplus" that gave the option of locating the tabs anywhere, but firefox updates broke it. i then found a userchrome script that performed the desired action, but ff updates broke it.

advice? solution? userchrome script? extension? thanks
