Today I opened Firefox 36 and saw that there's and update. I updated it to version 37.0.1. After I restarted the browser, I realized that it works very slow and opens an Advertisement pop-up with this address: http://offers.bycontext.com/scjs/tb/ctxjs/index.php?kw2=www.softgozar.com&affid=1145&subaff_id=888888000000000000&intformat=roll&nextpage=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.softgozar.com%2FWebPage%2FSoftwareDescription.aspx%3FSoftwareId%3D21%26Title%3DMozilla-Firefox-3701-Farsi-Cyberfox-3701-x64-Waterfox-3604-x64&ch=6801&sbrand=name&folder=v6.5.1&typrd=ctx&cu=31661&country=WW&original_country= It's really annoying. I didn't install any untrusted add-ons and my Firefox always updates itself from Mozilla. Please help. I really need it. Thanks.

See the previous page where several users explain the situation. When I click on "BOOKMARKS" in the menu bar the "most used" information comes up showing HISTORIC information as to what sites I had used over time--NOTHING TO DO WITH BOOKMARKS.

Why is it that everything navigation wise becomes so very difficult to use a computer. I have had a computer since 1986, and feel that I have to take a course on every move I make on any system. All used to be SIMPLE and clear cut. Change for the sake of change is just inconveniencing the user/customer.

I have tried to update my Adobe Flashplayer at least 4 or 5 times. But each time I go to check it still shows version 12. Today, I went into computer programs and deleted version 12 off my computer, hoping this would solve the problem. It shows the newer version 17 I already downloaded to update my flashplayer.

Why does it still show version 12 with update message when I go to check if it updated?

Adobe shows version 17 in the list, and in my computer programs (shows as shockwave flash).

How do I delete the older version off firefox and make sure I'm using the current version?

I followed these two articles to create local self signed certificates and they have been working fine since February. Now with the update to 37.0.1 I get "Secure Connection Failed" while trying to access my local website through FireFox. IE and Google Chrome have no problem accessing the local site.

http://www.jayway.com/2014/09/03/creating-self-signed-certificates-with-makecert-exe-for-development/ http://www.jayway.com/2014/10/27/configure-iis-to-use-your-self-signed-certificates-with-your-application/

I have already deleted cert8.db, restarted FF, then re-imported the self signed certificates but get the same error. No other software has changed on this box except the automatic upgrade to FF 37.0.1.

The network setting is already set to use "No Proxy"

How do I fix this?

after update, then reboot, I was forced ("x" generated that I have to choose) to select. I selected "Safe Browsing" instead of "default". Instead of my old looking Firefox, I get a brand new browser with absolutely no bookmarks. I need my bookmarks. Virus? I've no "quit" under top right menu. Refresh doesn't restore.

Image shows booting into everyday, newly updated to v.37 FF, with all addons enabled. FF booted into safe mode looks exactly the same. Have already tried disabling WindowBlinds (provider of title bar skin); that made no difference. Have disabled/enabled/disabled hardware acceleration of video. No good. Hardware drivers up-to-date (unless they've released one in the past week). I hate using IE, and I'd rather not load Chrome. My time for playing with multiple browsers has been over since HotJava.

Firefox has been behaving strangely since I made the update last night. Every time that I use the minimize or maximize buttons either the Personas area goes black, or the entire Firefox window goes black. I do not know what could be causing this, since this also occurs in Safe Mode and when I turn off the hardware acceleration.

Please let me know what I can do to fix this. Even though it doesn´t make Firefox completely unusable it is an annoyance that should be addressed.

Thanks. :)

I cannot access any information through Firefox, because t always hangs.

I updated to Yosemite on my iMac. Firefox then began to freeze. I uninstalled Firefox and then downloaded/installed it again. It's possible I uninstalled everything Mozilla related. I'm not sure. How do I recover bookmarks, passwords, etc? I don't believe I previously had a username & password for Mozilla. I do have my Mac backed up in Time machine and also a Carbon Copy Clone.

Also, I was able to migrate setting from Safari. Perhaps I don't want some of that stuff? Looking at the list of installed plugins, I have no clue if they're standard Apple/Mozilla stuff, or if they were selected by me/my family earlier in Safari? Are any of them a threat to my online security?

Any detailed instruction would be most appreciated. I'm not much of a tech guy.

Thanks.
