I have noticed that on certain websites which have site search boxes on their webpages (e.g. reddit, tvtropes), if I click in the box to type a search term, it will display about five suggestions which I have searched in the long-distant past in some context which I no longer recall. I generally would prefer suggestions not to show up in the first place, and I don't know why these specific terms are the specific ones which show up. Since this issue happens with site-specific search engines, rather than the search engine associated with the address bar, I'm unsure how to delete these suggestions. I normally browse in private windows, and on the rare occasion that I don't, I usually delete my history, and am unsure how the suggestions came to persist, and to persist only in the context I describe? If anyone can help, I'd be thankful.

I know it may sound a bit strange, but I would like to know WHY an extension is not allowed in a private window, so I might understand the reason why I'm not able to diagnose an issue I'm having with fucking amazon who has their cart all over the place for a misconfiguration in firefox that either I did or an extension is causing, however I'm unable to figure out which because I can't enable extensions in private windows, where the issue does not happen, so I'm not able to reproduce and isolate the problem. I have disabled sponsored shortcuts in Firefox settings, and did this when I first set up my browser.

Today when launching my browser the first link in my shortcuts was to @Google which I specifically do not use. I do not use google search. I do not want google search. I do not want cookies or content from google.

Why was this sponsored shortcut pushed to my browser after I disabled sponsored shortcuts?

I recently explored the backgrounds on Firefox. I choose one of the, because they look really nice. But after I changed my Firefox Data Collection and Use settings the background disappeared.

Why do you have to keep "Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla" and "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" enabled?

I have 2 laptops, one for work and one personally. I was looking to set-up firefox on my personal laptop as well but noticed I cannot open developer console on a specific element by pressing 'q' anymore after right clicking.

This is a significant feature and I would like to keep using it. Is it possible to enable this feature on my personal computer as well? Since it is still enabled on my work device.

After last update, when I open the bookmark sidebar (CTRL+B) and change its size (width), and then close Firefox, sidebar's width change to previous size.

How to fix it?

Hi, This is Prabhat. yesterday i was working on google meet, and accidentally i clicked my screen sharing blocked. And now if i want to sharing my screen it's not coming, And allow button showing fade. I received a notice when trying to download : We can't connect to server at downloadzip.wolfgangsvault.com . It was suggested that I check that Firefox has permission to access the web ( I might be connected but behind a firewall). Please help . Thanks!

Please add features so that the recently visited page during the Firefox shortcut does not apply to the shortcut list. I only want to see a fixed shortcut on the shortcut page Even the pages I recently visited have been added to the shortcut, so I have to remove them daily. It's so inconvenient.

How can I update inside of the settings from firefox 78.0.1 to firefox 129.0 or from 10.11 Mac to 10.15

I tried but firefox tells me to update this browser which is not supported by Mac 10.11.6 anymore. Do you see any chance by proper configuration? I guess I am not good enough
