I just updated Firefox to latest version and cannot run it on my current OS. How can I get back to the older version I was using until I'm able to upgrade my OS? As it stands I cannot access Firefox on my Mac. The icon has a big do not enter cross on it. Please help. Fast. Thanks.

Every time I open Google Drive, I get an error message that says "Google Drive was unable to load your view." And it no longer shows me the the filepath like it used to. I have tried clearing the cache and cookies, checked that javascript was enabled, and making sure cookies were allowed for the site. Nothing has helped.

It doesn't crash every time, but when it does, if I restart and try to save image/video/etc. again, it will usually keep crashing a string of times before it finally allows me to download without going "Not Responding" and at which point I have to force quit.

I've tried browsing other solutions but nothing seems to work or be applicable. I'm running Firefox 78.15.0esr (64-bit) on an El Capitan 2010 iMac.

i have had this persistent issue: when a site seems broken, i used to be able to try turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection, by

   Clicking on the shield Icon to the left of the address bar, then
   Toggling the switch at the top of the panel.

But for the past week or two, the toggle button stays on and i canno toggle it off.

Also, a related issue, ie.the reason ive mos recently tried to do this, is so i can view the whole yelp review web pages. I used to be able to, but fo the pas few weeks a large portion of these pages hav blanks instead of reviews. I cannot even view the review i myself posted a week ago!

For example, this yelp business page link text

if you scroll down to beneath of where it says:

'''Ask the Community Ask a question Yelp users haven’t asked any questions yet about Precision Dentistry.'''

there should be text and photos of companies' reviews and info. But instead, all i ever see are grayed out empty boxes.

I have tried:

disabling all my add-ons, 

private browing mode,

restarting firefox, 

turning of all tracking protection from the main firefox preferences pane, rebooting my computer, and clearing all history for everything. I have also googled this up the yinyang but no one else seems to be having similar issues.

Any ideas? if you could please help with this issue i'd be very grateful!

all of a sudden some website do not show all characters anymore (see attached image). I have tried all trouble shooting from mozilla. Can anyone help me? many thanks, bart

Firefox is denying access to Astound/wave mail. About 3 days ago Firefox posted a warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead. I am wondering if my recent activity is the cause. On October 23 my MasterCard account was charged $2.99 by a firm in Cyprus. MasterCard is investigating, and suggested that the card be cancelled, with a new card to arrive in the mail. They also advised that I alert my contacts that use MasterCard. In that process I attempted to change my password with Astound/Wave. But, every time I tried is was rejected. I Tried about a dozen times, one attempt right after another. I am thinking that that activity alerted Firefox that someone, other than me, was attempting to learn my information. Just seeing a dozen actions in a brief amount of time should have caused concern for me.

Is this possibly why Firefox is blocking our access to Astound/WAve mail?

I always thought Firefox Sync was kind of a backup service. Today I was disappointed to learn that Firefox Sync cannot be trusted as a backup service.

A search for “firefox sync” finds 2,929 results in Community Discussion Only.

As late as 2/2/23, Top 10 Contributor Paul says: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1404105#answer-1563509

“It appears from your question, that you are using Firefox Sync as a back up service. This is not what Sync is designed to do. The Firefox Sync service takes a copy of the data you wish to include and transfers it to a second device... The storage in between all attached devices is both temporary and fragile and is not stable enough to be (and is not designed as) a reliable backup service.”

I looked through all the Mozilla Help Articles I could find about Firefox Sync. Not one of them mentions that Firefox Sync should not be relied upon as a backup service.

Then I found this blog searching Google: “The Future of Sync”. https://blog.mozilla.org/services/2020/09/15/the-future-of-sync/

In the blog, JR Conlin says, among other things: “A New Hope Service: A lot of folks expected it to be a Backup service. The good news is, now it is a backup service. Sync is more reliable now.”

JR Conlin posted the above blog in Sept 2020. Is there anyone who can comment on JR Conlin’s statement or the progress of his and his team’s work?

Hi, I cannot use wordpress.com. When I click on "log in" it hangs at the redirect and I only get a blank screen.

Hi - Thanks in advance for taking a look. I hope I can explain the problem correctly.

In Firefox 78.15.0 (my MacbookPro must run El Capitan MacOS 10.11 to accommodate certain legacy music software), I saved a website. When I attempt to open the saved site, it opens without proper formatting and without photos. The missing photos are present in the downloaded (saved) folder as JPGs. They just don't appear in the re-opened page.

I have attached three PDFs to illustrate the problem.

The PDFs called <01 Pg1> and <02 Pg2> show a close rendering of how the original online newspaper is supposed to look. The main photo appears above a caption, followed by the writer's byline and then the article. I added red comments to indicate what gets changed in the saved version.

The PDF <03 Open saved website> shows the re-opened website file. Photos and original formatting are missing. I have annotated pdf 03 to indicate the major errors in missing photos and formatting.

I opened the saved site on a different MacbookPro running MacOS Catalina 10.15, but the problem persists.

The original website has been taken down, so I can't try another save/download. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If someone needs the entire saved article, I am willing to send it.

firefox had me refresh browser and it updated or so,ething... and all my login user information including passwords were dumped... i have old user data but cant figure out how to copy login and key files from old user data file to my current/only profile

Hi. In the past week, my Firefox has been giving me this message for many sites - all of which I've landed on before and I trust. Firefox wants me to contact the website owner which is not do-able. Any suggestions? Thx!

The original way I set up my account was with [edited] @unseen.is; showing with the little icon next to it in the upper right corner of the page (Lockwise)

That ISP is no longer functioning. Therefore, when signing in, the prompt says, to "check my email". But of course I can't because it no longer exists!

I can't seem to figure out how to change it to This one from which I'm sending this message from: [edited] @proton.me

However I did change the https://accounts.firefox.com in the Firefox Lockwise. (See attached image)

Hello! I have Firefox, version 78.15.0 installed on my mac OSX 10.11.6. A few days ago I lost the ability to use messenger in FaceBook. I cannot send or receive messages from others. When I click on messages, nothing happens. This happened suddenly. Otherwise, Firefox works as normal on my older mac. Can you give me a hint as to what is causing this?
