Having spent a frustrating weekend being unable to log into Coventry Building Society's online banking app, I phoned them this morning to be told they consider Firefox insecure and no longer support its use. The app accepts my username & password, tells me they are going to 'phone me with an access code' and then displays "Page not found". Anyone know of any other bank or similar who would believe Firefox to be insecure?

I have telemetry (every checkbox under "Firefox Data Collection and Use") disabled, but noticed that the datareporting/archived directory contains telemetry files. Is this expected, or does this indicate a bug that shows that telemetry is being sent?

The file paths have the format:

This seems like a phishing email, is it legit? Should I find another browser?

The page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ai-chatbot lacks the list of data shared with the chatbot AI providers. It would be nice to know how it is done, how to review the data, and how pages can provide better data.

I have a question about using Firefox PDF Editor. I copied some text from a PDF document that is on my computer, by highlighting the text and then hitting Ctrl+C. The text copied onto my clipboard OK. Then I opened a blank PDF document in the Firefox PDF Editor and tried to paste that text into the blank document, but I wasn't able to do so because when I right-clicked on the blank document and then clicked on "paste", nothing happened. This apparently is because the word "paste" is faded-out in the drop-down menu (i.e., it does not appear in prominent bold print). Google's Artificial Intelligence seems to indicate that the technique I used would work (see screenshot which I've uploaded). But it didn't work, so can anyone please tell me how can I paste text into that blank document?

Now that Mozilla/Firefox have joined Google on the dark side, who is everyone switching to? I would like something that works well in both Windows and android. I hear Opera can't be trusted and I don't like how there are like 6 difference versions of Opera in the android app store. DuckduckGo is just badly made IMO. Edge causes some glitches with one of the sites I use most. Should I try Brave? I just want a browser to BROWSE the web. I don't want AI. I don't need a VPN or adblock built in. I don't want a "gamer" browser. A decent local password manager would be nice but I don't want to have to make an account to use it. I know if the product is free, you are the product, so I would almost prefer a browser you pay for but oddly that doesn't seem to be a popular option. Probably because the user data the companies collect makes them more money then people would be willing to pay. Sad times. I miss the 90's.

I have all options enabled to save addresses and credit cards.

When I try to manually add a credit card, hitting the Save button does nothing.

When I use a credit card on a site, Firefox prompts me to save the card, I confirm that I want to save it, yet it isn't saved.

I want to create a list of allowed web sites in settings/cookies&data/manage exceptions, but it seems I have to enter each site MANUALLY. I would like to do this more quickly and easily by just selecting sites in the "manage cookies" list and designating them as exceptions. Or is there already some other way to do this that I haven't found? Also, after I have made exceptions for all my important sites, by whatever means, can I assume that I can press "delete all" in the "manage cookies" list and the allowed sites will not have cookies removed? What happens to exceptions if I select "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed?" If there is no way to make exceptions other than manually, I respectively request that some convenient method be added to the program. Thanks for any response.

I've tried making Google an exception, to no avail.

Recently transferred from Chrome. My understanding was Firefox private browsing was supposed to work similarly to chrome incognito mode; once you close the browser, all local files are deleted and cookies are cleared.

However, with Firefox it maintains my logins. If I log into an account while private browsing and the close the browser, I’ll still be logged in next time I go to the website even if it’s days later (and I have never logged into this account in a non-private browsing window!)

I never had this issue using chrome incognito, so it seems to be a Firefox problem.

Is this just not something Firefox supports? Is there any way to prevent storage of cookies and private data?

When I visit the web site virtueonline.org using Firefox browser, the Disqus comment section does not appear below articles on the site. Sometimes, when I go in and out of the article, the Disqus comment section will appear, but not always. When I use Microsoft Edge, the Disqus comment sections appear.

About once a week or more, a very small FF icon will appear on my desktop after startup. It will have a string of letters under it, like this one: hqWyUevN . I have never clicked on these things and always pitch them into the trash bin. But I do wonder what it is, what it means, and if it's a security issue of some sort.

Please speak slowly and use simple words. I'm not all that tech savvy.

Hi I have been using firefox on linux for a while without updating it. We are artsellers and I used to be able to log in and out of an artplatform without any problems. It's now been a few weeks since logging out is not possible any more on this platform which means that I am constantly logged in which I really do not want. The menu does not work anymore on this side whereas it works with other browers. I already contacted the platform. They cannot do anything about it themselves and asked me to contact your team. bsky.app cookie continues to be loaded on computer even after I continually delete it, privacy set to strict and blocked under "managed exceptions, why is it being reloaded when I don't access the site. None of the sites I access are linked to it, only visited once and if this alternative to x continues to set cookies, how can I permanently block it, thought the exceptions list was supposed to keep blocking it. So far it's come back three times, I'll screenshot it next time and attach.

I like using Firefox browser every day. After installing and running Avast antivirus protection (program version : 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.832)), Avast notification always show this message every time I start up Firefox : please check the uploaded images : FPA Scam.jpg.

I already checked the extenstion, the Settings, and the Advance Settings of Firefox browser. I'd like to know if there is any parameter related to engine.forexpeacearmy.com and it is enabled. Unfortunately, I can't found any related parameters.

So, I decide to contact Firefox support to find out what happen to my Firefox browser, why it always call the forexpeacearmy site at the start up, and finally I want to remove it. Because I'm affraid it could be some kind of trojans / malwares and put my laptop into risks.

I don't want to use passkeys, and it seems that every site is checking browser support and wasting my time with passkey prompts before allowing me to log in with a password. How do I disable passkey support in Firefox?

Attempting to upgrade and recommission an old HP laptop not used in several years. Currently running Firefox Version 41.0.1

Any queries to legitimate websites such as Google or Mozilla, return a "This Connection is Untrusted" display screen. Firefox security settings have been changed to lowest security, and problem persists.

It isn't that Firefox isn't reaching the websites... it's that some security setting recognizing the security certificates (like Mozilla's) is broken... and I can't get past it... even to be able to download a new browser version.

Firefox 125.0.1 update breaks all self signed certificates

After the latest auto update I can no longer access any of my management screens on my private network with self signed certificates. This is a real problem. I have attached a couple error screen grabs, but ALL of themn are the same. The information link says there is no workaround!

So how do I recover access? Chrome works just fine ... so it is def. a Firefox problem.
