Today using Firefox 93.0 on my Windows 10 home computer I opened the browser to my Audible library on Audible.com and selected a book to download. The browser download window opened with the book file name but the extension wasn't .AAX but had been changed to .MP4. This did not happen when I used Microsoft Edge nor did this happen on my Windows 10 laptop which was still running Firefox 92.0. Once Firefox upgraded to 93.0 on my laptop I now get the same problem as I get on my home computer.

Audible technical support looked into the problem and found that this change wasn't caused by their servers.

I have discovered that if I change the file extension from MP4 to AAX I can load the audible book into iTunes and sync it over to my iPhone which is able to play the file as an audible book. This indicates to me that the actual AAX file was not converted to MP4. For some reason only the file extension was changed.

I wasn't able to find any setting in the Firefox browser that corrected this problem.

Many times Firefox will give an incorrect security warning. This has been occurring for more than two years, across many websites/Firefox updates. Currently using Windows 10 and Firefox 97 (Firefox is set to clear all cookies/information when closing). EXAMPLE: Open browser (Firefox) and in the URL type the website (e.g. shrepc) Press CTRL + ENTER to auto-fill the URL Firefox displays message "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead" giving the options to "Go Back" or "Advanced" At this point close Firefox. Open Firefox again. In the URL link type "www.shrepc.com" and press ENTER The website is displayed with no errors. Has anyone else experienced this?

Just moved from a certain other browser and I'm still not familiar with the things here, is it possible to change the background for the default homepage? I know you can do it with extensions and stuff but I would prefer the default homepage to be customizable so it doesn't have more things to load when I launch the browser

I've been trying to days to restore my settings and have followed all the prompts but Firefox is still disabling cookies. Anyone know of a fix that will restore back to initial setup? TIA

Firefox updates use the term MSI, but never do you explain what that means. Come on guys step around the counter and act like a user. Not only what does it mean, but what are the differences between MSI and the download without MSI?

The following was asked already and got a reply but did not help. I also had this problem and I fixed i very simple. The problem was, "WAV files unable to play within browser". What I did I went to Settings then applications in the search box I entered wav and the application can up and I changed the action to the player to use I chose Window Player and works perfect.

When working in Ancestry.com I am having a problem when I try to upload pictures. I get a banner across the top saying my Local Storage is disabled. I have deleted history and about everything it has said to try but to no avail. This just started about 2-3 weeks ago. Before that it has always worked correctly. Not sure it this was due to Microsoft 11 loaded, newer version of Firefox or something. It is causing me to have to go to Google Chrome which has other issues with screen prints which work much better in Firefox. How can his be fixed.

I don't want to add another device in sync to transfer all of my bookmarks to the latest version of firefox. I just want to use it on my PC.

How can I transfer all of my bookmarks to explorer or chrome?????

I use FF 93.0 on Linux Mint. Sometimes I click on a link and it leads to a PDF file. It then downloads the file, makes hardly any sign that it completed and just sits there. On another computer of mine, FF downloads the file, opens the PDF viewer but does not activate the PDF viewer window.

How can I specify a default PDF viewer such that it always opens the PDF in the specified viewer and for other odd files, it asks me what program to use?

Hi I know you can just click on a tab and drag it to the left or right to sort out order etc. But I recall in the past, or maybe it was a different browser I'm not sure, but the little down arrow at the top left of the firefox browser that drops down a list of your opened tabs, I recall being able to click on one and move it up and down which is much quicker and easier. Maybe its the bookmarks I'm thinking of that lets you do this. But yes, is there a way to move tabs up and down in that window, or any extentions out there that enable such a feature. Thanks for the help.

I'm no longer able to log in to the Fifth-Third Bank website using Firefox (Mac). It worked fine up until a week (maybe two) ago; now I get an error message. Safari still works OK.
