Suddenly I cannot search from the search bar. It defaults to the address bar. why "fix" something that was not broken. Being forced to use the address bar is frustrating. If you go directly to the address bar, it tells you it cannot find that site.

I have selected the 4 rows for shortcuts on my tab and have installed all but the last 3 spaces in the end of the 4th row. There's no option whatsoever to continue to add those remaining 3 spaces. Any suggestions?

I decided to switch back to "mainline". Opened Firefox after a while. Got a prompt to change my new tab wallpaper, I said no.

Closed and reopened Firefox. Then my new tab page was besmirched with "soccer" score nonsense.

What hidden/non-obvious setting do I need to change to have ALL of this and ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY LIKE IT off FOREVER? I will never EVER want ANY suggestions for ANYTHING for the rest of time. I turned everything I could think of, including the labs or whatever off but this still came up.

I'm trying to add the world cup tracker to my home screen, but when i click the link, it just puts me in my new tab page with no changes. When I click the pencil edit icon, widgets are not an option for me. Is there a place I need to enable them?

I am using Windows 11 Pro on a new desktop computer. When I launch Firefox 2 Windows open, 1 with New Tab and 1 with previous session Tabs. The previous sessions only works if I close Firefox via the dropdown menu or the he file menu. If I use then 'x' to close as I normally would I only get the 1 window with a single New Tab on next launch. I have toggle the open last session Tab, but it does not solve the issue. i cant open a new tab.. and since i cant open a new tab. i have realized how many times a day i click open a new tab. its starting to annoy me . when i see a youtube video i wanna watch. i right click on the video. the first few lines are blanc. and when i click open in a new tab.. the new tab option is in a different place. the first few options say add to dictionairy and remove from dictionary .. it makes no sense., help me

When I click for a new tab, all the shortcuts I have are moved down awkwardly. Can you fix that? That does not seem to be a good choice. Please change. The attached image shows that everything has moved down and I cannot see the names of the shortcuts. Why did you do this? Please fix that. There was absolutely no reason to do that!

When opening a new window on firefox I see a "homepage" (No URL offered at the top of the page), offering some helpful, frequently used shortcut icons followed by a number of headings, i.e. : Popular Today, Connections, Featured Videos, etc., providing image/links to stories from various "news" or "interest" websites, which I can click on to view. Opening a number of these sites in order to view the advertised "story" require setting up a free, or paywall account/membership, etc.. How can I eliminate these undesirable/unwanted options from being "offered" or shown on my firefox homepage? Something may look interesting, but I'm not one to sign up, or pay to view these opportunities. I see where I can eliminate entire Categories, but what I'm trying to do is block, or eliminate the "offer to view" what I deem "unwanted offers to sign up to view this "story". Can this "Junk/Bait" be eliminated from my homepage on a site by site basis? As examples: CNN, Wired", "the cut", among others. Can the page be configured to eliminate the offering of "Non-Free", "Non-Membership", "Non-Signup" Sites? (Apologies for my lack of appropriate semantics, I'm just a user, not an Internet Expert, developer, or or software-savvy person.) As an aside, is there a way to contact a real live human person at Mozilla/Firefox to assist with issues like this, or answer related questions. All I seem to find are circular links to "Contact Mozilla", which bring me to unrelated FAQ databases, and user forums, etc., where I find I'm unable to get an answer to the question asked? I click to open a NEW TAB and it does not work. I just updated to the latest version of FF now nothing happens.

The right click menu shows way too many options unlike before  and I have to scroll to the top to see the open in new tab. DOES NOT OPEN ANYTHING.

For last 2 days, whenever I open a new tab it takes ages to load. I've tried troubleshoot mode and refreshed Firefox but this hasn't worked. Internet connection is healthy, no problems with other browsers

Since dawn of times I'm using Firefox with a search box in the center of my Home page for new tabs and windows. It is the most important tool in my life as a web content manager. A few years ago my searches suddenly started to jump to the URL bar as soon as I started typing. An URL bar is - as the says - for URL's and it sits way at the top of my 27" and 32" screens, where my focus is not.

Luckily, this forum saved me with the about:config setting browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar > false to save my life.

A few months ago this was broken by 148.something. After about a month in hell that was repaired with a dot release. And now (151.0.3, Windows 11) it's broken again:

In normal mode it still works as expected, but the search box is not in the center anymore, it has been moved up to about 300 px from the top. Fixed, independent from window size !?! If you make the window small it moves out sight eventually.

In Private Windows it is still in the center vertically, but browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar > false does not seem to work there. As soon as I start typing it jumps to the address bar.

Since the last update, not this recent one, there has been a huge empty space at the top of the home page. I had to close the search so my favorites wern't off the bottom of the screen. I'd really like to remove the Firefox logo, move my favorites to the top of the page and the search under that. Can you make it more customizable?

I do enjoy the suggested stories on my home tab from time to time. However, certain providers, such as the New York Times, are paywalled. I would like to be able to block stories from a particular provider such that I don't have to see a cool headline, click, and be disappointed by a paywall blocking the story. Alternatively, make it so that Firefox does not suggest stories that require logging into an account from the provider to read them.

Prior to a recent browser update, my Firefox New Tab page was completely clean, minimalist, and beautifully displayed the custom background image I had chosen.

However, after the latest update, a large Firefox logo and wordmark have been forced onto the center-top of the New Tab page, completely cluttering the background image. There is no standard toggle or switch anywhere in the "Personalize" or Home settings menu to turn this logo off.

I have already tried the advanced about:config workaround by setting browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.logowordmark.alwaysVisible to False, but the logo remains visible anyway. Even ensuring that "Web Search" is toggled on/off does not resolve the issue.

Please provide a built-in settings option to hide this branding watermark, or a working configuration flag so users can enjoy a clean, unobstructed view of their chosen wallpapers.
