Hello everyone, As possible in previous Firefox releases I like that clicking on a .mdb file (msaccess) Firefox starts automatically Microsoft Access rather than asking where to save the .mdb file.

Thanks and regards Volker Zipp

I’ve been using Firefox’s built-in screenshot feature to grab images of a browser-based puzzle game I play, and I’d love to streamline the process of sending those screenshots to an external AI solver. Specifically, I use a free online tool called Block Blast Solver Block Blast Solver that analyzes a game screenshot and instantly shows you the optimal move in 3D with color coding.

Right now I’m manually saving each screenshot and then uploading it on the solver’s site. Is there a way in Firefox perhaps via about\:config tweaks, a bookmarklet, or a lightweight extension—to automatically forward or “share” the clipboard image straight to a web service URL?

Things I’m curious about:

Can I modify the default screenshot “Save” action to POST the image to an external endpoint? Are there recommended bookmarklet patterns for sending the last screenshot directly to a URL with minimal clicks? Does Firefox support any native “share to web” workflow that could be repurposed for a custom site like this?

Any pointers on how to wire up Firefox’s screenshot workflow to a third-party AI tool (e.g. Block Blast Solver AI) would be hugely appreciated!

From of a like question (why now user ids only shown now, then pw field), GeraldR on 2/13.25 @ 17:49 presented this: Walmart.com's user-id field explicitly disables autocomplete:

<input autocomplete="off" id="react-aria-:R15at5j6:" type="text" name="Phone number or email" aria-label="Phone number or email" enterkeyhint="go" autofocus="" class="w_9iFI" value=""> _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If I copy the URL for 'that' sign-in page, place into EDGE, going to the input field, I get a pop-up of saved data. Is there a config setting that needs to be 'flipped' so the site is presented with my saved user ids & passwords again? I have tired of just assuming this is the 'new, how it is'. No replies of just using EDGE, please.

I am not 100%, but a 'REFRESH' has been done, just not sure if it fell in the time of the above no longer functioning as before. I have not tired in SAFE MODE. ENHANCE TRACKING PROCTION is now off ('on' did not work either; all scripts accepted in 'NoScript'; uBlock & Privacy Badger are 'off' for that sign-in page.

I am using Foxit PDF Reader with Firefox. When I receive a PDF in my email, I can't download it. Nothing shows up in my downloads file when I click "download". Why is there nothing in the downloads file? If I do the same thing using using Internet Explorer, the PDF Does show up in my downloads file. Why is this not working with Firefox?

When seeing contents on a webpage that may have lasting significance for me, I tend to save it (one way or another), at least for some time.

Earlier, I just used the browser's 'save page' function. This has the little inconvenience that also the folder (containing the HTML elements) comes along, but that can be managed - like creating a separate folder for it, then making a shortcut.

Later, I found software like Fireshot, which is quite practical, but also comes with certain limitations of its own. Ultimately I reverted to saving pages.

Now here's the question: Does the save-page function really save the entire page I'm on? Concretely, I'm thinking of webpages that contain a scrolling chat box. My tests so far seem to indicate that yes, also the entire contents of these will be saved, but I still have some doubts.

Would a knowledgeable user be in a position to remove them with some good arguments, or is there maybe a better way to do it - like those offered after googling for 'browser: take screenshot of contents of scrolling chatbox' (and whose execution was beyond my reach)?

I have noticed some minor changes in Google Maps. Unfortunately, they have affected the support of Maps in Firefox (135.0): maps are displayed without any names (towns, streets, objects, etc.). Since this bug is not present in the support of Maps in Edge, I think that Firefox requires a correction. When can we expect a fix?
