I am running Firefox 147 on a Windows 10 desktop PC. I am using DualSafe Password Manager. However, the 'Ask to save passwords' option is ticked in my Settings (see attached screenshot), and also greyed out so I can't alter it. Firefox keeps asking to save passwords for sites that I sign into. Can anyone suggest how I can fix this. To my way of thinking, if a thrid-party password manager is installed, Firefox should see this (it does) and automatically set itself to not ask.

In my org - ever since the release of Firefox 146 - each time an update is rolled out on a WIndows 11 endpoint - Firefox is no longer able to launch.

This is resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the client. We've had no issues with the ESR release in my testing.

What changed? Anyone else experiencing this?

I had our security team take a look at the antivirus - they've confirmed we aren't blocking Firefox and they did not see any block reports.

No relevant policy changes have gone through around the time of the incident. Initially I suspected users were installing Firefox ESR from the Company Portal alongside the standard release - but confirmed this is not the case. Also ruled out browser extensions - error persisted across a config without any extensions.

Please let me know if there is troubleshooting info I can collect. I included info from my own browser, but I reinstalled on the 27th and it has been working since. However, it has broke specifically on the days new releases have come out.

When I restarted my Windows 10 computer, the activity bar and all my history disappeared.

It was working perfectly this morning.

Any ideas?

This is the second computer in the last two weeks that has done this to me.

hello. my name is Andrew. im learning the language toki pona. great language! however, it does not currently have support in Unicode.

as a workaround to use this language online, people have been downloading a font called nasin nanpa, and adding it to firefox's font fallback system in the about:config settings, and using the fonts UCSUR characters, like these 󱥬, 󱥂​󱤴​󱤧​󱤑​󱦐󱤄󱤽󱤧󱤊󱥵󱦑.

[specifically, the font uses codepoints in the Private Use Area because the language's script is not yet in Unicode. ]

the changes are to these settings.

font.name-list.cursive.x-western font.name-list.monospace.x-western font.name-list.sans-serif.x-western font.name-list.serif.x-western

recently, this system has stopped working. this change breaks multiple websites, including many discord community's that used the font to talk online in toki pona!

it also presumably breaks other fallback scenarios. now im guessing that this has not been noticed as most fonts support every commonly used character, making this feature rather obscure. however i really would love this to be fixed, and so would the large toki pona community!

How do you avoid/deal with Firefox website incompatibilities? This happened on consecutive visits to two different websites today before I posted here.

In the first one, I disabled Ublock, cleared cache and cookies, and the site loaded, I then enabled Ublock with no error prompted.

Then I got a tab crash on Youtube. I wouldn't call tab crashes a daily occurrence for me, but I'm accustomed to them

Gmail tab crash just now. It just happened now with another website tab crash. i'm reverting back to 147.01

Is there any way to get the root of this. The only recent changes I can think of are browser (147.0.2 yesterday) and addon updates. Should I post my list of addons?

Hello, Within the past hour, "Checking for Updates" keeps running. I thought checking "choose to install" would limit the numerous times this happens per day, but it hasn't.

I've been experiencing this for a couple weeks and it's getting worse. I'm not sure what's going on.

I'm running Windows 11 and the last FF Mozilla update was #147.01.

Please advise.

Hello! I accidentally logged into my account after switching to a new computer, creating a new recovery key. Now i do not have access to all my saved passwords. I have my recovery key but cannot find where should I type it to get back all my information. Is it possible to recover my information using the original recovery key, not the one I accidentally created? I really need to get the access to all my saved passwords, please help me with it. I would like to be able set a keyboard shortcut to automatically toggle the option "always ask you where to save files" on and off. At times, I am downloading a lot of pdf files from the Internet and these can all go into the downloads folder. However, I also need to frequently download pdf files and customize them before the download.

When I access the website of UGC ( https://www.ugc.fr/ ) the access page opens up but immediately freezes: the screen luminosity decreases and the pointer cease to function: I cannot acces any of the options: select movies on show, select cinema programmes or schedule, open my UGC account to reserve performances ... Nothing works ... I have tried to reduceprotecton, etc as sugested on Forum and other suggestions: nothing works. I have no problem at all when I open the same website with Opera or with Microsoft Edge ... Why it does not work under Firefox puzzles me. Can you do something about it ? I use Firefox as my defaut internet access without problems for everything else ! This is really strange and most annoying. Thanks for your help.

Hi, all experienced peoples are here I got strange issue with firefox lately. my site sometimes https://avsogirl.net/ not loads at all, just shows “server not found” look at the image.

i first thought maybe server down, but i checked with curl and ping, server responds fine. also tested same site in chrome and edge, loads normal there, no error. i tried clearing cache, disabling addons, even fresh profile. still same. only firefox gives this dns error.

i use dns-over-https in firefox, and i also have proxy config for work. maybe firefox handling dns/proxy different? when i switch off doh, sometimes page loads, sometimes not. so looks like firefox network stack problem, not site issue. anyone else facing same error?

I’m seeing a layout and font spacing issue in Firefox that doesn’t appear in Chrome or Edge. The page loads, but some elements shift after render and text spacing looks off.

I’ve tested in a private window, disabled extensions, and cleared cache, so it doesn’t seem profile-related. Any suggestions on what Firefox settings or DevTools checks might help?
