I am RE-ASKING this question because the person who responded to the previous iteration provided no help whatsoever. I'm using Firefox 130.00 on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid-2012) running Catalina (10.15.7). It has run flawlessly for years, but suddenly won't open, and only hangs, requiring me to Force Quit. It stopped working on Thursday, 9/12, which, I notice, was the day it was last modified with an automatic upgrade. I have quit and tried restarting multiple times, but am unable to get into it at all and, therefore, cannot access Troubleshooting Mode. I have NOT yet tried deleting it and downloading a fresh copy. I would like, if possible, to retain my open tabs, Bookmarks, and History.

When I visit the web site virtueonline.org using Firefox browser, the Disqus comment section does not appear below articles on the site. Sometimes, when I go in and out of the article, the Disqus comment section will appear, but not always. When I use Microsoft Edge, the Disqus comment sections appear.

Websites won't load. I had max protection and DNS enabled, it worked, then one day it stopped and I got an error that they couldn't resolve the DNS connection. So then I moved it back to Standard protection, and now sites load intermittently. Facebook loaded fine an hour ago, now it says "We can’t connect to the server at www.facebook.com." I have no extensions, not connected to a VPN right now, have tried restarting, and other browsers work fine.

I updated Firefox yesterday and today I cannot access any comment sections on stories (Yahoo). I have re-booted my computer and cleared my cache. I looked at my privacy and security section of Firefox, but couldn't see anything that might affect this. In the past, I sometimes have to re-load the page to access the comments, but that is not working either. Here is the message that shows up: Oops, something went wrong :( We detected some connectivity issues therefore we’re unable to load the Conversation

Comments were working fine before the Firefox update.

Any suggestions?

I have recently had to use an "other" browser to complete GoFundMe donations. Anyone know why Firefox won't complete the transactions? It works for all other transactions.

I'm having trouble signing into YouTube using a specific Gmail account on Firefox. I recently deleted a YouTube channel associated with this Gmail, and since then, every time I try to log in to YouTube, I get the error message "Something went wrong." This issue only happens with this particular Gmail account and only on YouTube, while other Google services (like Gmail and Google Drive) work fine. Here's what I’ve tried so far:

   Cleared cache and cookies for YouTube and Google.
   Disabled all extensions in Firefox.
   Logged out of all Google accounts.
   Tried Incognito mode.
   Tested on other browsers (which work perfectly, so it seems isolated to Firefox).
   Signed in on a different device with the same Gmail (works fine outside Firefox).
   Checked Google account for security or account issues (everything seems normal).

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Has anyone else faced issues logging into YouTube after deleting a channel, particularly with Firefox? Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Recently one of my computers was hacked. The malware was removed but it looks like it stole active sessions and perhaps no passwords. In v 130.0.1 How are synced passwords stored locally? Is the key still easily accessible? Does the new "Require device sign in to fill and manage passwords" option change how the key is stored or does it further encrypt the file like "master password" does? Thanks!

Linux Mint 22(Cinnamon) Firefox 130.0.1 64bit Mint-001 - 1.0 Dual monitors My workflow depends on speed/accesibilty For this reason my habit is for Thunderbird to open on right hand mnitor (Primary Monitor) When I click a link in Thunderbird to open the conversation etc, it opens that link in the left hand monitor (secondary monitor)

(I recently moved back to Firefox following a time in brave browser.) I can no longer get the above procedure to work. Thunderbird opens as normal, but Firefox insists on opening the link in the same monitor as Thunderbird (primary)......this is messy, slow and defeats the purpose of having two monitors. I reluctantly switched back to brave.....and immediately the link would begin opening in the secondary monitor. I have combed the Firefox Settings to no avail. A friend suggested the answer may lie in the ""firefox registry"...if there is such a thing?... about:firefox ?? I have zero idea how to access that if it does exist

ChatGPT will not open in Firefox I have cleared caches etc checked for updates. However i can open on my iPhone using Safari and then I downloaded Chrome and can access via Chrome so this leads me to assume that the issue is with Firefox!! Please advise.

Hi. I have various folders, for different businesses.. And when browsing I need to save a certain website for both businesses, like a trade show for example. But a bookmark can only be saved in one folder. I refuse to belive this is a thing in 2024.. Is there a solution? A hack? I know if I click on a different page of a webiste it will save, but some pages only have one page url.. I thought maybe changing the name of the bookmark might work but it doesn't. Any help appreciated.

Used to be my Homepage was set to Yahoo.com as my Firefox browser. Lately after putting my computer to sleep and I wake up the computer and click on the Firefox Icon on my desktop it wakes up with Hong Kong Yahoo web page and everything is in Chinese. My Windows region is set to the U.S. and Canada, and the Time zone to central mountain time. Nothing has changed there. There are no new favorites, I cleared the history and the cache, and now I get nothing BUT Hong Kong Yahoo and everything is in Chinese when I want to go to Yahoo to log into my mail account. I have now switched to microsoft Edge to get my mail, and will soon dump Firefox if I can migrate my favorites to Edge and this problem persists.

For some time now Firefox will not show some videos. Like many other users of Firefox I have to begrudgingly switch to Chrome to see the video. I have tried most of the advise on the internet and reinstalled Firefox but the problem continues. This never use to happen. All videos played. It has only started in last few months. I see many other people have same problem with Firefox. It would be nice if Firefox was to change it back to working on all videos again. Thank you.

Today I manually download and rename the firefox executable so a script that runs as a Sandbox is spun up is ready to go immediately. But that entails me manually downloading, then renaming the installer to a name that the script always knows. And often the setup file gets updated on the web and I am running the prior version, or older depending on when I went thru that manual process.

So I am back looking for a way to either find a way to download the newest installer each time or find a way to kick off the internal updater right after its currently scripted install completes. Either could work.

I hate having to use Edge as its the browser MS automatically installs when a sandbox is spun up.

Or are there other ideas on how to accomplish this? Thanks, Bill

My email inbox show no emails in it. My I phone shows over 8000 emails in my email account. In the old Firefox page, all my emails are there on my computer, but not in the new . How do I get all my emails into the new Firefox email inbox? Thank you.
