Did Firefox Support Forum go back to its previous version within the last few hours, or did it just happen to me? This can be deleted once I get an answer, but I'm asking, because I had a long-running thread on the other forum and need to know if I need to repost my problem I was working on. For instance, this was my most recent crash:

Lately, when I click on Macys website, I do not get pictures to look at the merchandise. What I do get is a list of all their departments on the left side of my screen. I do not know what happened. Even if I click on a certain item on their "list" it doesn't do any good.....nothing pops up on the screen.

Pages do not display properly and are difficult or impossible to read only in FF. This is a regular problem on many sites, not just this one.

In this particular page, FF displays black text on a very dark gray background. I just checked it in IE, Chrome, Opera, and Safari for Windows and they all show white text, making it readable.

This is obviously a problem with the way FF displays pages and ONLY FF.

Using Vista but that should not be an issue. All the other browsers checked show the page properly.

Can not play youtube videoss in Firefox, Chrome or any browser except Tor.

If I download the video it will play. But, I can not play a live cam unless I use Tor.

I have had this problem for 3 years and no one can seem to figure it out.

Error is: Failed to find video url.

Even on this page, Firefox freezes and stalls. When I check, it uses all my CPU. The problem is worse than even, even with a new install. Yes, this an old computer running Windows XP, but I'm not seeing the issue with any other software or browser. I would hate to switch browsers until I can afford a new computer.

Nothing in any of the support topics has helped or mitigated the problem.

I see several cookies in the CCleaner cookies windows that I can't find anywhere else. These cookies do not appear in the cookies list under Firefox Settings, and Firefox is the only browser I use.

Some examples are connect.facebook.net, cdnjs.cloudfare.com, and login.wikimedia.org, and these cookies keep coming back after cleaning them up even though I haven't visited those sites and have 3rd-party cookies blocked in Firefox except from visited sites. Notice in the attached image that these cookies are listed in CCleaner, but they aren't listed in Firefox Settings.

Can anyone tell me where these cookies are stored and why I can't see them in Firefox Settings?

Since this week I use Windows 10 (replacing Vista) and after a short while I could google anything through my Firefox browser. I just get a blank screen. So I've looked for solutions and I've followed the description below (...it even seemed to work until the next update):

Well, after the most recent update today, it is now obvious that this solution is of little use because the same problem has returned and "search.json.mozlz4 " has been reinstalled back in its place again.

I don't think it is a good practice if one has to remove the file again after every update.

So, what can be really done about this?

Trying to allow a manufacturers' system scan after suffering longstanding desktop issues but before this can happen I have to download their support assist launcher. So the problem is, the download is blocked after the run/save window with another saying unknown publisher and so refuses to start downloading. The manufacturer says check internet connection. It's fine Now I've allowed the name of the support launcher in firewall via exceptions but it still won't load. Even tried it with firewall turned off. The download Icon TzsetupSfx, is shown in the downloads folder along with its file version 1.2.0.715 and name of publisher. So what can I do to get the download accepted by Firefox. I'm running 52.7 in win XP 3 pro. The manufacturers' URL is a www.

I keep getting Firefox request to remember login details and want this pop-up to stop ! All I want is an email address for Firefox to ask they stop asking me to remember my info. Thank You

Is there a way to disable the "a website is making your browser run slow" message, and any other messages that Firefox finds "worthy" to pop up?

"But why do you want to disable this?" It keeps popping up and actually causing my browser to slow down. None of the sites I'm on are even doing anything (no AJAX, no refreshing, etc. Static content). This happens on a BLANK page/no URL. If I close it, it just slides back down.

Is there any way to turn these messages off permanently? It's becoming a terrible user experience with Firefox popping up all sorts of things randomly. And whoever thought it was a smart idea to remove functional menus and require silly URL's to access configuration parameters really missed the mark on that.

Firefox does not play online videos that are "powered by JW Player 7.11.1". They get stuck on a "Loading ad" screen that goes on forever. Ever since Firefox Quantum, bookmarks keep disappearing after I import from html file. They stick for about a day or so, then disappear. Problem occurs weather sync is on or off. This problem does not occur on my Ubuntu devices, just Windows ! Also, this was not a problem on prior Firefox versions, just Quantum.

Thanks for all the great work over the years, FireFox was truly the best around. It still would be if you hadn't stopped supporting Java, which is probably used on a few billion pages. By dropping Java you've rendered Firefox almost irrelevant and, while not useless, close to it. So I can either start going back and forth between FireFox and Opera now, or save myself all that hassle, as most are going to do, and just get used to Opera and stay there.

But... if you ever make FireFox fully functional again, I'll be back. I hope you do before I get too used to Opera to want to make the switch again.

A few years ago, when I first installed Mozilla FireFox on my Windows Vista machine, the first thing I noticed was how tiny the url and toolbar font was. No other application I've ever used on my laptop ever had text so small - it was barely legible. I googled the problem and found a simple way to fix this issue - install "Theme font and size changer" - sorted - until TODAY!! - "Theme font and size changer" is no longer supported and so I'm back to having to use a magnifying glass to read to read the toolbar. I thought never mind, there must be an equally simple way to make the text bigger. Having trawled the web, I've found many people with the same issue but no fix other than "Theme font and size changer" - which no longer works with the latest version of Firefox. So my question is quite simple - how the heck do I increase the text size, NOT of the web page - which is fine, but the top TOOLBAR/URL (and dropdown) menu. It has to be easy - but HOW ???!!!

I build/run a LFS system. My latest build, with gcc-7.3 by the way, of ff-52.8.0esr & ff-52.8.1esr "keeps" crashing, depending on the website--hasn't crashed right here yet . Hello Techies, First meet my system... Linux 32bits (Lubuntu), provided with: Lightspark, an SWF player, and all what Linux comes with.

Firefox ESR 52.4.0 (very old machine, its CPU doesn't have the SSE2 extension) provided with: HTTPS Everywhere, Ubuntu Modifications, YesScript OpenH264 Video Codec, Shockwave Flash, Widevine content Decryption module

I try to connect to a site, a radio station one, and Ff tells me a web page is slowing down the load process. Wait? Stop? Waiting is useless because the page never loads. Stopping leads to the site (simple http, without "s") but many parts of it do not respond. In other parts of the site Adobe Flash Player is mandatory to access the content. As you can imagine my system is not provided with Adobe and I guess this is why Ff warns me and can't access the site. I'm not installing Adobe, I don't even know if it is possible, and safe! How can I fix this? To me I should overstep Adobe, installing to the system something similar that the site can "like". Any suggestion? If you need it I can give the exact URL of the site. I hate the Firefox's copyrighted proprietary stupid feature bug, which is officially called "Font Enworsening". It involves ruining the beauty of fonts, with modifying.

Many font modifications are made by Firefox, and in some fonts such as Custom Font, they are even illegal. These include: 1. changing the font height, causing incorrect font ratio and gaps in selection 2. changing the space width, ruining the monospace beauty 3. rendering characters high or low in small size when HTML superscript or subscript is used 4. inconsistent character squishing in PDF files, ruining the monospace beauty and thickness 5. modifying the font spacing, causing incorrect font ratio 6. in case of bitmap fonts (supported on XP but not 10) the text is shifted pixel left, which may be cut off and is not synced with selection and current character guide line

What Firefox should do? (the numbers correspond to the numbers above) 1. preserve font height 2. preserve character width 3. allow customization of this and/or use the Unicode superscript/subscript font characters depending on character availability 4. preserve character width and stretch 5. preserve character width 6. preserve character phase 7. allow bitmap fonts in all Windows versions, just like Notepad does so with no problem 8. to compensate for fonts which have characters mapped to wrong characters due to 256 character limit on .fon fonts, allow a character replacement table (including superscripts/subscripts) 9. allow formatting replacement table (for example red text color instead of bold, etc.) 10. allow a size replacement table, in case a font looks ugly on some/most sizes 11. allow color customization more than ever (like grayed out text being red instead of darkened) 12. fix the bug where text and background color override doesn't work properly on high contrast, instead using your favorite color scheme regardless of settings 13. allow a "Red Detection" feature, which detects a red text color (not link color) set in webpage and allows you to choose a custom color for it 14. allow a "Magnifying Glass" feature, which allows you to see a small area without color or font overrides (with a hotkey)

Firefox ESR 52.5.2 (32-bit) on Windows XP SP3 prevents Adblock Plus 3.0.2 from updating its Filter lists.

Or, Adblock Plus 3.0.2 won't update its Filter lists on Firefox ESR 52.5.2 (32-bit) on Windows XP SP3.

When you click on Update filter, it appears there is not even an attempt to connect. This clearly began right after the ESR 52.5.2 update -- on three computers.
