How do I turn off web translation permanently for ALL pages in Firefox 118.0.1?? It´s the most annoying feature so far from Firefox. Even if I delete all languages in preferences, it shows up on every page I visit.

Per version 118 we now have the possibility to have webpages to be automatically translated from its original language to another one. As end user I get prompted for every page I visit whether I would like that to be translated. This is quite the flow-stopper. I have no need nor interest for this amazing functionality. However, I can't find anywhere an explanation on how to disable that functionality. I would appreciate it if I was not prompted for this translation possibillty. My question: how to disable this translation functionality alltogether? (I.e. How to stop Firefox asking me about it?)

I've just installed Firefox 113.0 and my tab bar is now above the toolbar and bookmarks bar. Up until 112, the tab bar was below the bookmarks bar. I have no changed anything in UserChrome and in fact that file is still dated 2020. I've searched but haven't found an explanation. Anyone know what changed or is this just a bug? Thanks

I want to re-order the add-ons / extensions in the toolbar shared with the search bar. Customize toolbar only has functions/icons related to the operation of Firefox. I want to customize the extensions toolbar, but how?

In the add-ons page, I can remove, disable, or enable extensions, but I cannot change the order of them.

As an example, there is an add-on for my Firefox account that is leftmost in the bar of extension icons. I would like to move it all the way to the right. Again, how would I do that?

Every time I do a search for services "near me" (hospitals, hotels, etc.), Firefox is using an out-of-date five-year-old location. Very frustrating! How can I change this? Anyone's help is much appreciated - I just haven't been able to find a link to help me fix it!

1) Firefox advertised free apps when you signed up for vpn. However, when I signed up for vpn, I didn't get any apps. Did I do something wrong? Why didn't I get the free apps? 2) I don't seem to be able to add the VPN two other computers. It seems to want to sell me (Again) the VPN. I don't want to buy it again, just add my existing VPN to other computers. 3) I have some Macs that run Parallel's. Do I need to add Firefox VPN do the Windows that is running on Mac. Or, does my Mac Firefox VPN somehow protect the windows without adding a separate VPN on windows?

I clear my history every time I close my browser. And I periodically clear my history during my sessions.

When I open a new Window or Tab and begin to type an address, Firefox prompts me with websites I have previously visited that begin with the same letters. Firefox should NOT know my previous websites, if it has cleared my history.

In the attached image I typed in the letter "m" and Firefox prompted me with a recent pages I visited page and a list of other pages I have visited, at least one of them from a week or 2 ago.

Obviously, Firefox is not Clearing the History. It maybe clearing some of the history, but not ALL of the history.

Love the Browser. This should be fixed.

Why is there not a simple means to take a link and pin it as a tile on my home page? I've expanded the number of rows displayed which as an odd history of my browsing, yet the latest links I've visited are not there - meaning the link to the location I would like to pin. Seriously, the entries in the rows (other than previously pinned links) is a hodgepodge. It might be useful if there was some evident logic to the items included. It is disappointing the number of times this question has been posed and the "answer" is to display more rows. Similarly disappointing - an old knowledge base article that says to click the 3 dot icon next to address bar for Firefox on android - would have been handy had such a control appeared in the latest version of Firefox I'm running on my Mac.

I need to disable this horrible translator that is now showing up on top of every page I visit, It keeps showing up even after choosing a translation or disabling translations for that language. That is probably a bug, but I don't want to wait for a fix, I need to be able to see the pages I visit completely, this thing prevents me from clicking buttons and and is really anoying.

This is the built-in translation feature since I do not use any translation plugins, and started showing up after an upgrade.

Currently on macOS Firefox 117.0.1 and in the last week I noticed I can't authenticate with my Yubikey anymore. The browser will prompt for the key ("touch your security key", etc.). While the prompt will go away after I activate my key, the browser window won't advance past the authentication page. Short story-- I haven't been able to use my Yubikey for any site recently.

Firefox has been working great for me for many years. I prefer it to Safari on my iMac. Suddenly it has stopped displaying my news content from Newser on my Earthlink home page. I have troubleshooted with Earthlink and they are not at fault. Also, when I use the Safari browser, I have no problem viewing Newser content on my Earthlink home page. Firefox is saying that I am not connected to the internet, which is false. Any ideas how to get back my news content on Firefox? Thanks for any ideas.

I have loaded all of my web sites and existing weak passwords. How can I get Firefox to generate the strong ones I want to use. If I ask to Edit the existing passwords it will not generate a strong one as one might expect.

1. When I go into multiple tabs (maybe 3 or 4 at a time) it all of a sudden freezes and I cannot get into any of the tabs anymore nor close/X them out. I end up having to force quit and close out all tabs I was using.

2. It is also giving me a page that I use everyday not upload all the way which has never happened to me before. I attached a photo of what that page looks like.

Certain site show what looks to be Chinese writing in the menu and description. Videos for those site will not play. This just happen today. Is there something going on with firefox? what would be the best fix?

Until recently, when I would capture a PCAP file from a device through the web GUI, I would be able to click on the PCAP (packet capture) file and it would open the file in Wireshark. As of this week, it stopped doing that and now only allows me to save the file and I need to look for the file and double click on it to open the file. I lose a lot of time doing that. Looked at the mime types already installed but there is no pcap to allow me to associate with Wireshark. I am running macOS Monte Rey on an M1 platform. I was working fine before.

My Gmail is a blank screen on Firefox. I did not update or change anything. Works perfectly in chrome. I deleted and resinstalled Firefox to no avail. Firefox used to be my favorite browser, but lately glitchy with FB too. I used the tab, tried a new gmail window..

So, recently I cleared my history and cookies in Firefox. After doing this I am unable to log into Netflix with Firefox. It tells me that my password is incorrect. I can log into Netflix with Chrome and Safari. I even updated my Netflix password. Any suggestions?
