Using Windows 11 and a recent version of Firefox, if I open a command prompt window and enter: C:\Users\Admin\Documents>"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox Esr\firefox.exe" --help

I get nothing.

But it works if I add "| more": C:\Users\Admin\Documents>"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox Esr\firefox.exe" --help | more Usage: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox Esr\firefox.exe [ options ... ] [URL]

      where options include:

 -h or --help       Print this message.
 -v or --version    Print Firefox version.

Can anyone explain why?

Is it possible to change Firefox so that it works without "| more"?

Note that the above was on my Windows 11 laptop, but I'm sending this from my Windows 7 desktop. None of the suggested topics were appropriate, so I selected the first one "Accessibility".

I was using the weather, clock and image of the day widgets. Yesterday they were on my start and now they are missing. When I look under settings and home, widgets are not listed. How can I get them back?

How to remove thumbtack icon from quick link icons on the homepage of Firefox.

The little thumbtack icon was by the name of the quick link on my home page. I updated to 139.0.4 and now thumbtack in top left corner of quick link icon. I want the thumbtack gone.

For some reason Firefox remembered my phone number and is now trying to use it as a login when I attempt to login or register in any service. I've checked my saved passwords and autofill data, but I cannot find it, there's only usernames and passwords, and I have no saved autofill data, no phone number. Where can I look for it to remove it?

On various websites with embedded podcasts, when the file goes past 1h the volume 'slider' goes away and becomes a basic mute/unmute button. How can i force Firefox to always display the volume slider?

Translation languages related issues. Firefox doesn't contained all the languages to translate page. This is a big mistake by your developer. Now a days most of browser translate pages into Hindi and Gujarati language. Fix this or I've to go back to use Google Chrome browser as before.

When I go into Settings, I see the following message at the top:

"Your browser is being managed by your organization."

I've never seen this before. Going into about:policies, this is what I see:

ImportEnterpriseRoots

It's the only one there. My searches have told me that this should only appear if you're not an admin and it's on a work computer. But I am the admin and my computer is a home one, not a work one so this message shouldn't be there. I have looked up around here to find out how to disable/remove this and I did the following:

Where I made a backup of the Registry and went in to delete ImportEnterpriseRoots. I restarted Firefox afterwards, and when I checked it was removed. I restarted my computer just to be sure that it was removed, but upon restart the message appeared again and ImportEnterpriseRoots reappeared.

Where I go to about:config the "security.certerrors.mitm.auto_enable_enterprise_roots" can be disabled, but the "security.enterprise_roots.enabled" is grayed out and I can't disable it at all. The solution above mentions that this can be caused by your anti virus. I tried disabling "https scanning" and "QUIC/http3" under Norton's Safe Web option, but this did nothing. I'm planning on removing Norton soon once my sub runs out and I know Norton is doing this to Firefox, so I'm concerned that if I don't remove this when I do an uninstall it will screw up Firefox or my computer. I've tried asking the Norton forums and they only offered the solutions above that I tried and they didn't work at all.

How do I remove the "Your browser is being managed by your organization." message and ImportEnterpriseRoots from Firefox if these solutions don't work?
