After a update 154.0.1 and 155.0.1, 64 byt Firefox dod not keep the open tabs once started, but the bookmarks. After searching in Firefox help, neither I could not find a previous bakup folder, before the update data, so I cannot restore the history it manually, so I do not know what to do. It is quite dissapointing as I had dozens of tabs open for diferent putposes, and now I have no one

Is there a way to remove "recent bookmarks" from the book marks pull down menu? Or at least hide them. It causes a total lack of privacy when any and all bookmarks can be seen in full view. Seems a stupid thing to not be able to hide them. Other browsers only show book marks when you go to the folder they are in.

We are experiencing an issue where our legal services web portal (hdclaims.co.uk) fails to load properly specifically for users on the latest version of Firefox on desktop.

Problem / Issue:

Users report receiving a SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER error when attempting to access our online claims form.

The issue does not occur in Chromium-based browsers, but Firefox blocks the websocket connection required for live chat support.

Environment Details:

Browser: Firefox Desktop (Latest Version)

Website: hdclaims.co.uk

Server Setup: Nginx reverse proxy with LetsEncrypt / Cloudflare SSL certificate.

Steps Taken:

Verified intermediate CA certificates are properly chained on the origin server.

Tested with a fresh Firefox profile (no extensions enabled), but the security warning persists intermittent for UK users.

Checked SSL Labs report, which confirms an A+ grade.

Is there a specific cipher suite requirement or OCSP stapling configuration in Firefox that could cause this intermittent SSL handshake failure on .co.uk domains?

Any insights from the community would be appreciated!

We are testing our commuter booking web application (carliftdubaitoabudhabiae.com) on Firefox for Android (v128+).

Our web app relies on real-time Geolocation APIs to show passengers their pickup points and Web Push Notifications for schedule updates. However, we are noticing a few technical issues specific to Firefox Mobile:

Geolocation Prompt Delay: When users open the booking map, the browser location permission prompt takes 4–5 seconds to load compared to Chrome.

PWA Service Worker Caching: After updating route schedules on the server, Firefox Mobile sometimes serves stale cached assets even after clear cache commands.

Are there specific Service Worker or Manifest configurations recommended for Firefox Mobile to ensure fast real-time location updates for transport web apps?

I get several message that: I cannot connect to Amazon, Several websites, etc. It sometimes has something to do with private windows and/or can't connect! Could be license, ssl, etc. When I force a firefox private window, it works for a while then goes back to the same thing. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Want to disable the news pop-ups that appear at the bottom right hand corner when I first open Firefox. Prevent me from printing while they pop-up and are usually quite a few of them.

When I select Photos from menu (top right bars), I get Google message that there is a problem with my cookie settings and I need to enable them. I haven't changed them.

Since Firefox does not support video calls, deaf people cannot chat with their friends in sign language on Facebook Messenger. This feature should be brought back.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

The same thing happens with YouTube TV. My Bitdefender also flagged it as a suspicious page.

I hopped over to the ideas page because I had a couple suggestions, and found I was not alone because lo and behold someone else had the same ideas. So I decided to agree by hitting the kudos button, but imagine my surprise when instead of adding to the number of users who supported the idea, this feature only seemed to reload the page for me!

About two months ago, after various Windows and Firefox updates, I can no longer make Firefox the default browser. In Windows Default Apps the only option for FF is to make it the default program for Adobe Acrobat Document. Choosing Make FF Default through the browser does not work either. Additionally, I’ tried numerous suggestions, using AI help offered by both FF and Chrome, without success.

The OS is not allowing me to make Firefox the default browser. Is there any way around this?

Any suggestions?

After recent Firefox update in v 154, saved passwords do not auto-fill in all websites. Actually, not even the username is loaded. I tried to open in troubleshoot mode and didn't work too. I tried to log out and re-login and fixed for a while only. Then same issue re-occurred. In websites where I have multiple accounts it's too hard to find the proper one. In the Settings > Passwords everything is enabled.

I used Private Browsing to review a web site, and saved a couple of files to my hard drive. When I closed the Private window and went to a different page in Firefox, then used Print and "Microsoft Print to PDF", the print dialog came up with the Private window's last save location as my initial save location. It doesn't matter whether the regular Firefox window was open before or after the Private window was closed.

This was a leak from Private to Regular. Windows 11. Firefox 155.0.1 (64-bit)
