I am using Mozilla Firefox 64-bit with version 107.0 on Windows 10 21H2. I connect very often to HTTPS websites without a valid certificate. Often with certificates issued by themselves. Before it was always enough to say "I trust this website" once. Now the question comes again and again, whenever I connect. What could be the cause of this?

For the last two days websites I use all the time, like my gmail and my aol mail have a red line through the lock icon in the URL. I was able somehow to fix yesterday, not today. SURELY Google itself is not an unauthenticated site. OR gmail. And for EVERY site to be a problem is ludicrous. To expect users to know who the website owners are for contacting is also ludicrous. This actually seems to be a probelm with FIREFOX itself. So, I will begin the transfer of my stuff to another browser and stop using Firefox entirely. I have been a user for probably 20 years, and always defended it against techies telling me to use something else. Turns out they knew what they were talking about. So fed up right now...

Goodbye, Firefox.

From time to time when maximising the Firefox window, the top 20-80 pixels or so are replaced with a white bar.

It is usually possible to grab the window by clicking somewhere next to the address field, and thereby move the window downwards, alt double clicking there which set the window to "not full screen".

Right-click in any of the "white" areas - which is located inside the FF window - opens the Windows desktop menu.

screenshot 1 - "not full screen" (all is fine) screenshot 2 - FF in full screen mode (title bar vanished - replaced by white space) screenshot 6 - right-click in white space opens Windows desktop menu

Found a few reports that seem similar but not identical to this one. Rebooting the computer usually helps but after a while the problem returns. It is a rather old machine, and quite possible that this is not caused by FF, however, only FF suffers from this behaviour - any other application works "normally" (i.e. you see the title bar and buttons when the window is maximised).

Hello there!

I am a web developer and recently we built a website using wordpress. Specifically in this page https://jaotc.eu/jatc-participants/jatc-participants-jatc2/ there is an issue with the participants not showing/loading. I exclusively use Firefox for development and had no issues so far but this problem only exists in Firefox. I tried edge and chrome and the page works fine.

Maybe it has to do with some kind of compatibility with the wordpress theme or wordpress itself. If you would like to check it out and see if there is a general fix that has to be applied.

Thank you in advance!

I am updated to the latest Firefox. Every time I close Firefox out and then come back, it does the whole new update spiel all over again and I have to go through it and get rid of that new little weird tab thingy. If it was a one time thing, there'd be no problem but this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME since the last update. What do I do?

Hello everyone,

Please test with all versions of Firefox. I was able to reproduce this consistently even after a complete reinstall or reset. For this case, ESR was checked and surprisingly it stays online even when offline mode is used upon start using profile manager. For this, you can create a new profile and start the browser in offline mode and search something in address bar. At first, you will be greeted with an offline mode message but if you hit refresh then the browser becomes online and the search results are now available. This is not just related to search results but any websites.

Hope you guys can provide some info as this is really unexpected behavior.

Thank you and looking forward to your suggestions

Test specs: Windows 7-10/Linux/Ubuntu Firefox version: ESR 102.5.0/Standard 107.0

Hi,

I've just spent an annoyingly long time trying to do something that turned out to be really easy, it was just finding out what to do that made it seem hard.
The issue of where search results open is completely ignored in the help pages, judging from the number of questions in Support on the issue, that appears to be something of an oversight. As does not displaying the date questions were posted, reading about what applies in an old verion of Ff may not do so in the current one, it didn't in my case.
I wanted to know how to make the search results from Google on the search bar, open in a new tab, as opposed to the same tab, the current default setting. All it takes is changing the value of: browser.link.open_newwindow, from false to true in about:config.
Simple to do, finding out that's what you have to do, isn't.
I thought I'd suggest that you might consider addressing this matter, I'm sure it would be welcomed by at least some users.
Anyway, thank you for a great browser.

Hello! Sites like Gartic Phone and Whiteboard Fox do not respond to my Huion tablet pen. I don't think Firefox recognizes the pen as a drawing device.

I have done some troubleshooting and have figured out that this is a Firefox specific issue: Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge both respond to my pen on those sites. I saw another person was struggling with this exact same issue, but the thread was archived with no response.

How do I fix this? Was there something I missed in the settings?

I know this is most likely a feature, but it's been annoying the hell out of me since I switched from Chrome and I don't know how to disable it. I have looked at multiple (~3) Reddit threads (two of which were archived) which gave me a total of 0 answers, I've looked at other forums, and I've found, get this, nothing. It's so annoying when for whatever reason, my music gets paused and then it's not at the volume I need it to be at, so I turn it up and then almost immediately turn it back down because of the audio fading. All I want is to know how to disable this, PLEASE.

Dear community,

User in our engineering dept would like to use Fiefox Developer Edition to develop custom applications. As an IT I need to check application regarding security and support levels. I already check your support options – community and commercial so I would like to send you some questions regarding data protection. Please enter yes or no.

1 The application must not automatically transfer any company proprietary data to external networks (like the Internet): 2 The application should not open listener ports on the client: 3 The application must work with the existing security settings, e.g. no changes in GPO-setting or Edge/Chrome-settings (e.g. they must work without changing ActiveX settings): 4 The application must not reduce the security level of the computer system (e.g. the application must not exchange DLL-s or other files with lower and unpatched versions): 5 The application must work without admin privileges:

Just recently anytime i try to connect to links on my browser that have "Ad" in front of the address eg. Ad.https://www.lowes.com/lowe's®/home I get this prompt

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site. We can’t connect to the server at www.googleadservices.com. If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

Any ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it ?

Hi,

I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox and I really prefer Firefox to be honest. One key thing that is missing for me is the ability to store credit card information which Chrome does. I saw that in the help that this feature is only supported in Canada, France, Germany, the U.K. and the U.S. I live in Israel. It is annoying to enter the full information each time (except CVV). Any plans to roll this out to the rest of the wold? This missing and very convenient feature might force me to go back to Chrome, which I would prefer not to do.

Thanks, Daniel
