When more than one tab is open, to close ALL tabs by clicking the "X" in the far upper right, a pop-up alert warns and asks if the closure is intentional. A constant annoyance is when I mistakenly close the WRONG tab when multiple tabs are open. Why is there no similar alert to confirm my choice to close a single tab? It would save me time and frustration.

Hello dear support! I would like to immediately warn you that I used Yandex translator to write the text, so there may be grammatical errors :) I've been using Firefox for a very long time and I'm happy with everything. But recently I have encountered the" problem " of opening tabs, it has always been there, but I am not comfortable using it.When you search for material intensively by links, when you open any link on the search page by clicking the left mouse button or using the right mouse button "open link in a new tab", in both cases a new tab opens, it throws there and you have to move back to the search page from the opened tab and open another link that I also need, which is inconvenient. In this regard, a question. Is there a setting in the browser so that by clicking on the right button I do not go to an open tab, but it opens itself, and I immediately open new links without going to them initially and I would decide which one to go to first. This feature is implemented in Opera, but I want to stay with Firefox.
Sincerely, Mr. Mozdor

Hi community, when i have only one tab opened in Firefox i can click on the "close tab"-X or Ctrl+W. This action will close Firefox, but it won't close the tab. So when i start Firefox this last opened tab, which usually would be closed after clicking on the X, will open at start again.
This behavior drives me crazy. If i want to close Firefox with the only tab opened remaining until restart, i usually would click the red X of the Windows forms control elements.
Is there any option in "about:config" which really can close the last remaining tab, while also closing Firefox?
Thank you

I have open half a dozen or so tabs related to one subject. I would like to put them all into one "super tab", such that only the super tab shows as an open tab. Then, by clicking on that tab, it would show the tabs within it, any one or more of which could be selected. Is this possible, and if so how is it done? Perhaps there's an add-on or extension that would do this.
I have already created a multi-tab bookmark that sorta, maybe accomplishes the same thing. But it's not as convenient as what I envision as described above.
Thanks for any advice or words of wisdom.

What is the purpose of the tiny blue circle that sometimes appears as part of a tab title?

The only choices given for opening new tabs is either the FireFox page or a blank page. We USED TO be able to set it for what WE wanted, rather than what YOU want. I want to be able to (again) set it so any new tabs opened, come up with my choice, Google.com, rather than the two choices you have chosen. I realize that "changes" are what keeps programmers (I useta was one) employed, but how about programming what your loyal users want? That used to be the case, but now, it seems the "changes" are just done to keep said programmers employed! I am hardly the only one who bemoans the loses we have gone through as someone (who probably doesn't even use FF!) makes it look like they want instead of how we want. Nuff said?
Thank you for years of enjoyable use. Now why not start providing that again?

Last time Firefox updated, I managed to find information online about moving the website tabs so they were below the bookmarks instead of at the top of the screen. It was a huge pain-in-the-butt to do.
After a recent re-install, the tabs have moved themselves back to the top of the screen and nothing I do seems to be able to move them back below the bookmarks.
Is there a way I can move the tabs that doesn't involve spending hours hunting through posts on the web, changing hidden Firefox settings, and recoding .css files?
If not, why do you not give the option to move the tabs wherever the user wants? Especially when it makes far more sense to have the website tabs directly above the website being viewed, at least in my opinion?
I'm currently using Firefox 85.0.2 (64-bit).

Does anyone know how to make Firefox warn me when I hit Close on a single tab? Occasionally I accidentally hit the "X" on a single tab that I didn't intend to close. I've searched Help with [warn close "single tab"] but very apparent that putting 2 words in quotes does NOT require them to be together in the search. It returns 106 pages! I saw that it was do-able in older versions of Firefox but since they changed the field to True or False you can't put a 2 in it. I think Firefox is great except for this very irritating flaw. Thank you..

Now i always get this in Firefox "Playback Error There's something wrong. Please try again later. "
And yes it is just Firefox. I know that Firefox is killing the ability to listen to Amazon Music as it works perfectly fine in Chrome and Microsoft Edge but not in Firefox at all. I've tried several days - it won't play it.
Really is uninstalling and basically killing Firefox the best?

Hi, this isn't quite a tab recovery as the session hasn't ended, it just won't display the window. But it's in private browsing so I don't want to close the window since I understand that nothing will be saved from that session. But is there somewhere I can access a list of tabs while the session still exists? I'd hate to lose them all.

Hi,
I've got 12 pinned tabs that load at Firefox start and need them to be pinned. Problem is Firefox loads only 3 tabs simultaneously, from left to right. Consequence it takes ages to load all of them and especially the last ones.
I tried to find an about:config setting to mod this behavior, unsuccessfully.
Settings I've already changed (x2): browser.tabs.remote.warmup.maxTabs 6 network.http.max-connections 2000 network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy 34 network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server 12 network.http.max-urgent-start-excessive-connections-per-host 6
Please could you point me to the correct setting ? Thanks a lot.

I recently had to uninstall and re-install Firefox to deal with a software conflict issue. I then reset all of my preferences, including using www.google.com as my homepage. Before the re-install, private browsing tabs opened as a different, darker color theme than regular tabs, and they opened on the Firefox home page. Now, they open on the same Google home page as the regular tabs and are the same color as regular tabs, which can be confusing. How do I get back to a darker-theme private browsing tab? Thank you.
