how come when ever i install any antivirus except for windows defender do i get this in Firefox Your browser is being managed by your organization. i went to policies but do not know what to do why can this not be removed from Firefox what do i need to do in policies to get rid of this. here is what i get in policies did not remove any thing this is what i get help please thi is documentation in policies.. Ed - Thanks for that thread. Since I posted my question originally (and can't find where just now) I did try one add-on called STOP AUTO RELOAD by kgersen and I'm trying that. I couldn't understand how to add the particular address I wanted to use it on, but it's helping on FB without having entered FB's addy. Most of the time it stops the refresh. If I leave it too long tho, when I come back it does refresh, but at least it isn't refreshing while I'm trying to read it. The annoying blue label "refresh" still comes on my page, but I ignore it.

Hi. I have followed the instructions on the Mozilla site above however this does not work. The Enterprise Roots keep reloading after a while.

Any idea how to stop this happening?

I have read many articles on this but nothing works. The E Roots will in initially not reload but eventually after a day or three its back.

When I go into Settings, I see the following message at the top:

I've never seen this before. Going into about:policies, this is what I see:

It's the only one there. My searches have told me that this should only appear if you're not an admin and it's on a work computer. But I am the admin and my computer is a home one, not a work one so this message shouldn't be there. I have looked up around here to find out how to disable/remove this and I did the following:

Where I made a backup of the Registry and went in to delete ImportEnterpriseRoots. I restarted Firefox afterwards, and when I checked it was removed. I restarted my computer just to be sure that it was removed, but upon restart the message appeared again and ImportEnterpriseRoots reappeared.

Where I go to about:config the "security.certerrors.mitm.auto_enable_enterprise_roots" can be disabled, but the "security.enterprise_roots.enabled" is grayed out and I can't disable it at all. The solution above mentions that this can be caused by your anti virus. I tried disabling "https scanning" and "QUIC/http3" under Norton's Safe Web option, but this did nothing. I'm planning on removing Norton soon once my sub runs out and I know Norton is doing this to Firefox, so I'm concerned that if I don't remove this when I do an uninstall it will screw up Firefox or my computer. I've tried asking the Norton forums and they only offered the solutions above that I tried and they didn't work at all.

How do I remove the sidebar permanently. It is now as I said above about 2.5cm wide and growing! I want it gone and none of the solutions give any idea how to do this. The show/hide button only made the damn thing expand!

New day, new glitch. Since the inception of weather showing on the Firefox landing page, it has accurately shown my location. Today, it is not only not my city, it is in another state. It also does not respond to my making a correction with my zip code. Can we expect a correction any time soon?

When I start typing in the URL bar a search engine drop down appears. I do not want that to happen because when I do the URL text moves. I have turned off every search setting that I could find on the settings page, as well as trying various settings in about config.

Hello, how can I remove or hide "List all tabs" btn?

Set "browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled" as "false" stopped working for me after update to version 131.0. Hiding the btn before version 131.0 was not a problem.

I have every about:config and settings option set to recommended to prevent autoplay videos. NONE work with yahoo. The vids will drop to the lower right hand corner but even if I click on the close window X they still pop open again. And again. And again. Is there a solution to this arrogant, self-centered behaviour by yahoo?

I am a bit confused about how to keep updating FF on my Windows 7 PC, given that after March my current version (115.17.0esr) may not work as intended. Until now I've always updated manually by downloading a small 343KB installer file that updated FF without changing any of my settings, logins and bookmarks. Hoping to simplify updating, today I set updates to "Automatically install updates (recommended)" with sub-option "When Firefox is not running". But just now a FF notification informed me it was unable to update automatically and provided a link to https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/enterprise/?reason=manual-update. From the dropdown there I chose "Windows 64-bit" > "Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR)". The download is a 64MB file.

Since this seems to be a new installation and not a simple update, can I be sure it won't overwrite my current version and leave me without settings, logins and bookmarks?

Hi, When a page asks for camera access, and I allow it, the page still doesn't work. Microphone sometimes works but sometimes doesn't. Tried it with Edge and it works. So it's not the device issue.

This is a feature request - not sure if it goes here.

I would like to arrange the toolbars in Firefox in the following order:

   Menu bar (top, with "File" on the far left and "X" on the far right, i.e. not centered)
   Bookmarks bar
   Search bar
   Tab bar

This can't be done currently. The best I can do is:

   Bookmarks bar
   Search bar
   Menu bar
   Tab bar

My request is that the user be able to arrange the position of the toolbars in any arbitrary order. Thanks!

Please how do I stop these floating windows above the tabs in Firefox 131.0? They mostly cover up the tabs and make it difficult to impossible to open or close tabs. The floating window only half shows up above he tab. This is just insane and makes using Firefox almost to much to deal with. Every time I get near a tab the floating window appears and tells me what the tab already tells me. Come on this is GARBAGE!

I am writing to you as regards your current upgrade and its interface. The taps bar and tools bar are very wide, thus decreasing area below them. The cannot because customized with the little knowledge I have in development.

I jumped FF V90 to this current upgrade FF 131.03 because anytime I tried to upgrade, I find the Interface not to my liking due to what I have already described above. I have seen similar comments like mine on the browser comments. One user actually asked if FF interface to V 80.02 which I support for it is the best of Interfaces so far in the development of the FF browser.

I hope to hear from you soon before I take a decision to go back to FF V90.0.

What is happening here about Uploaded images: Add images (optional), I cannot fathom. There is certainly a block somewhere on the Support page.

I cannot pin the extension to the toolbar. The extension is not shown in the puzzle icon dropdown, and it is not in the overflow. Please add an automatic pin to the toolbar when a new extension is added! How do I pin it now?

How the hell do I remove this crappy sidebar!?!?! Your suggestion of tapping the cog and clicking on sidebar button DOESN'T WORK! REMOVE IT! It is annoying, terrible! Why would you mess with something that didn't need to be fixed ? What are you, Jaguar? Remove it now, actually do something and fix it.
