I have a windows 10 computer with Fire Fox and lots of bookmarks. I bought a new windows 11 computer and want to copy my bookmarks to the new windows 11 computer. How do I do it?

It has always been the case that when I closed Firefox, it asked if I wanted my open files saved and reopened when I opened the browser again. I needed to restart my laptop and I decided to close Firefox first. It asked if tabs should be saved and I said yes. After I restarted the laptop and reopened Firefox, all of my open tabs (I think about 35) were gone. Can I get them back?

I find recovering deleted bookmarks difficult in Firefox. Typically, I am told: "on August 12 you deleted 12,540 bookmarks. Do you want to recover them all and over-write your existing bookmarks?" To which the answer is obviously, no.

What I want is a system much more similar to the Microsoft File Explorer Recycle Bin, which lists deleted files on an individual basis, so if I have deleted a file, I can see its name, the date it was deleted, and where it came from, and I can restore that particular file. Or, since we are talking bookmarks here, recover a particular bookmark.

How can I achieve that? Is it possible?

В таком случае все мои вкладке были на месте НО после закрытия-открытия браузера сессия снова сбрасывается. При очистке браузера, появлялась кнопка "восстановить предыдущие вкладки", восстановление происходило, НО закрыл-открыл браузер - и снова пусто. Пробовал удалить браузер и установить снова - та же проблема. После запуска, если открыть журнал - в разделе недавно закрытые вкладки, недавняя история поиска - пусто, как будто предыдущей сессии вообще не было. Как исправить эту проблему? Примечание - мои закладки, введённые пароли и расширения на месте.

I keep a lot of tabs open (~60) in any particular session - I find it's faster in this way to get back to a site.

About every six months or so, I lose *all* these tabs because of Firefox's inadequate session backup system. It only saves two or three total backups, some of which are completely out of date. But the worst scenario is when (1) some site pops up a new window; (2) I mistakenly close my main window before the new window; (3) I open this new saved window once or twice by accident, causing my 60-tab session backup to be overwritten.

Using a third-party session manager (I have tried all the well-known ones) can mitigate this problem, but doesn't really solve it because the re-opened sessions aren't quite in the same format as Firefox sessions and so lose information. In particular, I often lose each tab's icon as well as metadata for Tree Style Tab.

Could Mozilla please consider a more robust session backup system for Firefox? All it would take (I think) is to allow the user to choose the total number of backup sessions and the frequency at which a new session is added. Thank you!

Hello: I am trying my hardest to figure out how to move my existing Firefox profile folder (with bookmarks, passwords, etc.) to a new system. I have tried repeatedly to take the contents of the existing profile, and past them into the default profile on the new system. None of the information shows up.

The existing profile is version 115.25.0, running on a Windows 7 Pro platform.

The system I'm trying to move the profile to is a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit system. I installed the same version of Firefox on the target system.

All the files from the existing system seem to copy over to the new default profile folder fine, but no luck when Firefox is opened.

I also tried copying the entire profile folder over (leaving the folder name intact), and removing the default profile that was set up by Firefox. When I do that it just gives me a message saying it can't find the profile.

Don't know what else to do here. I have a lot of data in the old profile that I don't want to have to re-create.

Hi, I recently authorised an update and now how lost all my GUI data > my bookmarks and tabs, passwords and history too. I had to reinstall Firefox through Edge on my Windows 10 laptop because of the update which froze the system. Can you help me to access this valuable information and let me continue with the best browser I have been using for over a decade please? Why have I lost my data? Thank you in advance.

I have 374 saved Passwords & User names in Firefox on my computer. Just bought a new PC and want to transfer the data to firefox or chrome on new unit. How can I do that? Is it possible to transfer the data?

bold textUsing beta it became flaky so I tried to move to the release version. I was told the beta was a later version so I could not. When I reopened FF all my data is gone. I lost all index page formatting, bookmarks, history tags everything. I would like to have this back (even beta)
