Hello, After forgetting my Mozilla Firefox password,i uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox,but now, whenever i open Zimbra.free.fr ,for example,i get the following message from Firefox; please enter your master password. i enter it,but it does'nt recognize it. It has been some time since I've used my Mozilla browser and cannot recall what I would have set my master password as. I have tried every password I would have used to no avail. I tried the account recovery with my gmail.com email, but the error message that I keep reaching says that I need the account I would've signed up with? If I enter a completely not related email, I get the proper message that there is no account associated. Being how long it has been, it's not a serious issue to even have access to old credentials, I definitely just want to access my account.

My Firefox prompts me to enter the master password when it opens, even though the current homepage is Firefox's default one and there is no place that requires login.I have already tried turning off and then turning on the master password, but it still doesn't work.

A week ago I got a BSOD that ruined the settings of most of my extensions and some of the Firefox's settings (at least it erased my custom findbar.matchdiacritics value, but most likely not just that). After that I moved Firefox's folder and re-installed it. Extensions were also reinstalled.

Before that, Firefox would ask the primary password only when I open it or when I try to reveal a password in the password manager. Now it may (or may not) ask the primary password before an autofill or even for no apparent reason. How can I get back the old behavior?

I tried to set signon.masterPasswordReprompt.timeout_ms to 0, but it didn't seems to help.

My bookmarks got screwed up and I deleted Firefox and created a New password and I can't access my bookmarks. How can I get them back ? I have Android phone please help 😟

to put it shortly, after launching firefox, even when it goes to the "new tab", is always prompts for primary password. everytime. it also happens when i just go to a website like twitch. which im already logged into, it doesn't ask me to login on the website and firefox still prompts for primary password.

i am using windows 11, firefox version 138.0.4 (64-bit) my profile is synced with firefox. my windows machine does not have a password to log in. in the bug report they say it's solved with version 136.0.2 but obviously it still happens to me

As stated above, recently everytime I want to go to a sign in page on Firefox, a pop up asks me for my Mozilla password. I have to close the box and continue. Pls help!!!

I accidentally updated my email site password to the wrong one. Previously, I had the correct one saved in Mozilla, but the wrong one were overwritten and I lost access to my email account. Is it possible to recover the password from before it was overwritten with a new one? I have no other way to get to my email, it was created long time ago and I had no backup email connected to it. You are my only hope to recover it- I checked all other options. Please help my case. Thank you for your time dear support grand master.

Dear support, I have 2 pcs and I need to enter sync password every time I open Firefox - start notebook. It works fine on the second pc and password is remembered. How to solve it? Im trying to add sync protection when adding whatsapp and googlechat to my phone and desktop. I created a primary password but it doesn't seem to work. i click on firefox and it continues to just open with no protection at all. what am i missing, whenever i use firefox it still has google listed as search engine

how to turn off, disable, kill the primary password. I want nothing to do with this feature. it is a royal pain. i have tried all the options but no go.

Every time I open Firefox, it prompts me for my Primary Password immediately. Skipping the dialog the first time opens a second, identical dialog. It's not being caused by any add-on/extension, because the problem occurs in exactly the same way in Troubleshoot Mode. It's not Sync, because I'm not signed into any Mozilla account. An internet search showed me a page here indicating I should disable Primary Password, then re-enable it. This didn't fix the problem.

For whatever reason, saved passwords are visible on right click even if you have a Primary Password created. This defeats the purpose of a Primary Password entirely, so I have to figure out how to disable it.

I've tried group policy and about:config edits but the settings have all changed and no longer work from previous how-tos on the internet.
