I use FireFox quite some time on my iMac. With the version V89.0.1 I have problems with FaceBook Messenger videochat. The screen of the partner stays black. I only see my own little video screen on a black screen. Normally after allowing my camera and my mike to be used I get a message: Calling And when answered the other partner shows up on large screen. Now the text is different : Something like : Waiting for other partner to join. And the large screen stays black. The other partner can see and hear me. I tried with another browser (Brave) and then all functions well. But Brave doesn't support the Picture-in-Picture function that FireFox has. Till last week I could use the Picture-in-Picture function in Messenger Videochat. It was great to have the minimized video screen of the videopartner on top of all other programs I open.

Since the recent update to 89.0, I've been experiencing longer than normal initial page loads from start up or wake up for my MBP. Safe mode doesn't seem to matter, and it doesn't matter if a browser window is open and a page loaded or if I'm opening a new browser window, that first page load (or reload) takes much longer than it should (up to 10 seconds to load for example, the Google home page). Once I'm past that initial page load, my browser speed is fine. I also checked Safari and Chrome on this MBE, and neither have this issue, which leads me to believe it isn't a security or some other setting on the Mac.

Hi, Firefox update is so Microsoft-ish. Not only that it is forced on you (without any info) BUT it also deletes the last tab you tried to open. Why the last tab (the one in which restart button is open) is lost? WHY? it is a F*ck You message to all users.

case: -you click on link and instead of wished tab the restart tab is open -you restart the browser -there is no info of last tab tried to open

no way that this must work like this!!! if you after restart can reopen all other tabs you can reopen the tab that was used to force restart. thnx dj

For the last week or so I've been having a frequent problem with YouTube not loading-see attached screen shot. Sometimes reloading the page works, but, not all the time. Cookies and cache are cleaned several times a day. I have the same issue, but, much less frequently in Chrome. So I'm not sure if this is a browser problem or a YouTube problem. I appreciate anyone's comments. Thanks

Firefox causing double audio. Cancelling it allows one audio to continue, but stops the video part. Seems to only happen on Fox news since update. I can't figure out how to get an answer on this, or from this, unless it is to switch browsers. Too bad, I've run Firefox for a decade and liked it.

I have the latest version of Firefox & my windows 10 update automatically. After the last Firefox update this week I will be browsing a webpage and all of a sudden a Bing page is loaded over the top with a preformatted search term as though I was searching for that term. It's really annoying as I've always preferred Google anyway. When I search for something in the address bar, it loads a Bing page, but when I open a new tab it loads my preferred page, Google with Firefox. I don't have Bing selected as a search engine in my options. How can I get rid of it please?

I have used Firefox for many years, but last year it started to stop working for no obvious reason and after playing around with it for a while I started using another browser. However, I am Firefox user at heart and so recently installed the latest version (89). However, the same problem exists. I have:

- started in safe mode - eliminated all extensions - I am using a completely new profile

I can start up Firefox and it works for a few minutes , then with 4+ tabs open (not sure if that is relevant) it stops work - tabs don't load. I can write in the address bar, but nothing will then load up.

When I close the browser down it appears to close down normally, but when I restart (immediately or minutes later) I get a box saying an "Firefox is already running but not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window."

Is it a sync problem?

Look forward to getting any help/suggestions.

Rob

Having some issues with a couple of websites where the text seems to be really bold, also its getting mixed up and overlapping or doing strange line breaks (see attached image).

This seems to only be on Facebook messaging or Facebook Business suite. Also in eBay messages. I've noticed it on a couple of blog sites too.

What can I do to fix this? Thanks

Firefox on a Windows 10 (Build 19042.1052) that

It starts and seems to run without hanging or crashing. I can enter an url, but it doesn't do anything. The Viewport just stays white. Also nothing happens if clicking on a bookmark. Or the settings. I was able to open the about:support page via the menu, but not by entering it into the adress bar.

Here are the things that I already tried to no avail: - updated to the latest version - Incognito mode - Troubleshoot mode - graphics card driver is up to date - reinstallation - Cleaning Firefox - delete firefox profile - clearing the start cache - downgrade to version 88.0.1

It is weird, that the about:support page works when opened from the menu but not when entered into the adress bar, right? This means that content can be displayed, but you cannot navigate to it via the address list. But then why don't bookmarks work either?

By the way: It is not a network Issue. Chrome and Edge work, and also the problem persists across multiple different networks.

Dear Friends,

For almost a month now I am unable to use Firefox - on startup it crashes giving the error message "Gah. Your tab has just crashed" I have tried every method/suggestions I found on the net. As per my Norton 360 & Malwarebytes Antimalware my m/c seems to be clean. Also from Help if I try to restart Firefox in Troubleshoot mode, it closes but never start up on its own. It needs to be manually started. Also in about:support page the about:plugins link doesn't work.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

I am attaching a screenshot of the error message. I am using version 88.0.1

Previously, when the above happens, I get a yellow pop up message . After the latest update this is no longer available. Please reintroduce this, as I sometimes fail to see the pop up window which allows me to stop it. If I fail to stop it in time, firefox freezes and I have to reboot every time. This time make it a red window, so that the warning is immediately noticeable. ''''Note': I am still using Windows 7.

Thank you

Since the FF update, when I get a popup alert in the lower left, I am unable to do anything else on the page until the alert disappears or I manually close it. After the alert popup is gone, everything it back to normal. This only started happening with the "new" FF.

The issue does not happen with Chrome.

Hi,

I noticed a problem on my MacBook Pro when Firefox is running. When I have 4 tabs opened on a precise streaming website, with the sound disabled on these 4 tabs, and I run other tab (like youtube) or other app (VLC, Music,...) with the sound enabled on it, I can ear some "pop" or "crackle" in the speakers.

I performed the same test with Safari and the problem don't appear.

Motherbaord, and speakers have been replace on my laptop by AppleCare. I think it's a software issue (maybe due to Firefox, maybe to macOs). I contacted Apple to explain my problem and ask them try to reproduce the issue, but they won't do until Mozilla confirm that the issue is not due to Firefox...

I did't find how to contact Firefox support Team, so I posted here...

Regards, Joe
