I am visually impaired. The new Firefox update seems to have lightened and decreased the font size in the toolbar and drop down menu, not that it was great before. The Theme Font and Size Changer extension is no longer supported; all relevant posted answers in Support have been archived. Web pages can still be enlarged by percentages; why can't the entire page match? This would help wide screen users, too. There must be a way to enlarge the font and make other changes to the toolbar and menu box using this new version of Firefox. Otherwise I'm stuck with holding the screen literally six inches from my face decreasing my speed and efficiency. Please help.

I have Firefox installed for Windows 10 on a PC and I use google Mail (gmail) My bookmarks menu has disappeared in Google gmail This website explains how to retrieve it, and starts with "Click menu button" (3 horizontal lines) But this menu button at the top left does not take me to the next stage which is to click "more tools" How do I find the Firefox menu button?

Hi, I'm using the latest firefox version 89.0.2. There's a large tab bar at the top. I never use tabs. Safari doesn't show the tab bar unless multiple tabs are being used. This leaves more space to show webpages. I'd like to hide the tab bar permanently or when only one page/tab is used. I guess that means the red, yellow and green mac circles in the upper left would have to be moved to the lower bar, by shifting the back and forward arrows slightly to the right, as is done on Safari.

I looked online for suggestions. chrome.css files were mentioned. But they didn't explain what those were or how to create/access them. So the guidance was not helpful to those who didn't understand those files, like me.

Can you please let me know how to hide the tab bar?

Based on all the comments I saw on threads, it seems many others think the tab bar wastes space. It would be great if Firefox preferences provided an easy option for hiding the tab bar.

After reinstalling Firefox (latest version) I have run into a problem it shows a yellow box and an error saying "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc. will be installed shortly".This message won't go away and Widevine will not be installed at all. to keep things short im trying o find a way to revert to before the most recent update (89.0), the new layout and organization changes are more or less causing no end of issues for me both in function and causing my anxiety issues to spike from everything being unfamiliar and i need to find a way to revert.

My old computer bricked itself. Hard drive, everything is toast. I have a new one but am wondering if there is a way to retrieve bookmarks, settings, etc. on a new Firefox install on the new computer, from my account perhaps? It seems to me that the last time I lost a computer and had to start over with Firefox on a new one everything reinstalled. I'm just about nonfunctional without all my stuff!

In the latest update (89.0) the size of the font in drop-down menus has increased. When I go to my book marks the number that show on the screen has decreased by 28% which means a lot more scrolling. The original font size was very read able so why change. The question is, how can I reset the font size back to the original size? Geoff

My work computer died sometime during the lock down and I needed to set-up a new one. In the new Firefox browser that I down loaded, I am unable to move the bookmarks side bar to the right side of the screen. The option to move the sidebar seems t have been removed. Any suggestions?

How do I change my color scheme back to the original? Firefox upgraded my system (June 5, 2021) and the new color scheme is terrible. I want what I had yesterday. "Tools-Addons-Appearance- default setting" is an old instruction and path, and is not applicable in this version.

I do NOT appreciate that Mozilla now forces me to use the FireFox home page (or else literally nothing - a blank page) for my new tabs. I want to use the same custom page I have set up as my home page, but since the last update, that page only shows in a new window, not on new tabs. Is there a workaround for this? I use multiple tabs within the same window heavily, and having FireFox abruptly override a customization I have already set up and been using for years, that works best for me, is seriously pissing me off. I know there is a plugin to se new tabs, but I already have several plugins and would prefer not to add more.

I can't add a website to Enhanced Tracking Protection exceptions. I need to add a website to see if that fixing it not loading properly.

Adding exceptions for Cookies and Site Data is working well. So this is just an oversight. Can we please have this fixed in the version? Should be easy as pie.

Please note: I cannot visit that website to get to its "shield" icon. I *have* to add this website manually to the exceptions list. But this is also an issue of principle: if there's a list that can be removed from, it should also be possible to add to it, whatever list it may be.

I have always had my bookmarks on display in a left hand panel, and this has now disappeared. I still have the other normal bookmark displays but prefer the side panel. I'd be grateful for guidance.

My browser opens new links in new tabs. I want them to open new links in the same tab.

Others inquire about the same issue get a response saying:;

"Did you try it? Some sites add a target="_blank" attribute to links. Links with these attributes are supposed to open in a new window when left clicked. However, Firefox by default opens these links in a new tab in the current window. By setting browser.link.open_newwindow to 1, these links will instead open in the current tab/window."

I need step-by-step help understanding what I need to do to set the browser are suggested in the above response.

How can I email the link for a webpage I am on to someone? There used to be three little dots immediately to the left of the bookmark star on the page address that I could right click and easily send the page link with. Now it appears to have disappeared (6/15/2021). Help!

I use a monitor that is at some distance from me, to avoid eyestrain because I have vision problems. This is fine for web pages, documents, etc. because I can vary the text size as needed. Since the new update, I can't read the text on my bookmarks, menu, toolbars, tabs, etc. I don't know if they've made the text smaller or if it's a result of the amount of space added around everything, but I could swear the text is much smaller. Either way, this is unusable for me. Is there a way I can increase the text size? If not, I'm going to have to find a way to reinstall the old version or switch to another browser.

Sorry if the answer to this question is obvious with a bit of searching, but you know... I can't see anything. It's very frustrating.

Today I opened Firefox and BOOM, the entire user interface had changed. My bookmarks no longer showed on webpages, and they aren't on my toolbar anymore? The top bar had become rounded and Google Chrome-esque which is kind of the #1 reason I switched to Firefox. Is there ANY way I can revert to the old UI where the tabs were rectangular and my bookmarks showed up on every page?
