When I try to watch a video on WSHH, I get this error VIDEOJS: ERROR: (CODE:4 MEDIA_ERR_SRC_NOT_SUPPORTED) No compatible source was found for this media. I have DuckDuckGo Privacy Essencials installed, and I also have uBlock Origin installed. I disable both extensions but I still see the same error. I'm on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, and my Firefox version is 77.0.1 (64-bit) canonical - 1.0

How to disable: "Your internet connection was restored" notifications? – Terribly annoying and only started in the last version 77.0.1 very recently. I rather switch to another browser if I cannot get rid of this. Checked my 3 plug-ins, but cannot find anything there, nor if it is something on Facebook I cannot find it. Any idea?

Can Firefox Save As PDF like Chrome? The problem is Firefox uses Microsoft Print to PDF. This doesn't allow the document to be saved in the original size.

Example:

There are thousands of online retailers and their employees that have to print labels every day. Sometimes the label needs to be saved as a PDF instead of physically printing.

• Microsoft Print to PDF saves it based on the default paper sizes, A4, etc.
• Shipping labels are generally 4x6
• Microsoft Print to PDF will save the 4x6 label on Legal Paper size which renders the document useless if it needs to be printed

It would be nice if Firefox has a default Print > Save as PDF feature similar to Chrome instead of relying on Microsoft PDF. The general user doesn't have time to tinker with the settings to add a new paper size.

Hello, I am trying to return to using Firefox after many years away. I need to disable the shortcut keys but cannot find where or how to turn them off. This seems very odd as I am sure its a popular need, at least for certain keys let alone the complete set. As a disabled user I use a program called Phrase Express to fill in all sorts of things for me including online forms. However, firefox's shortcut keys are interferring with those of the much more useful Phrase Express. I am astonished that a simple answer was not easily available whilst searching other questions etc. However, many similar questions were many years out of date and lead me to various addons which were no longer active. This cannot be a difficult thing to do, after all many people (will never even use them and even programs developed my single progammers usually have a simple series of options available in settings to turn them on or off or indeed customise them.

So, can someone please help, the need to use phrase express is essential to cope with my neck and arm problems but I wish to leave Chrome and more importantly Google behind me.

If I open two windows of Firefox, pin tabs in the first, close it and then close the second window, my tabs disappear. In order to use this feature one must work with only one instance of Firefox?

I cannot get Firefox to go completely into full screen on Mac OS Catalina. When going full screen it will hide the Mac system menu bar at the top, but it will not hide the Firefox address bar. I've researched a bit and found some suggestions about settings in about:config pertaining to full screen access, and I've exhausted all of those suggestions. Is this a known issue on Mac with Firefox?

Is it possible to open Firefox from command line (or shortcut) without loading the URL or tab bars?

My current workaround is to load the URL and then click a bookmarklet which opens the tab in a popup window. Is there a way to open a link directly in a popup window?

I've scanned about:config to no avail, and it seems all the popup extensions just do what my bookmarklet does.

Ideally there would be a command line flag like --popup which does exactly that, but the closest thing I could find is --headless and --kiosk which don't work that way.

I also made a new profile named "popup" and intended to add extensions which hide the nav bar, but it looks like extensions aren't allowed to do that any more.

I want to change the location of the temporary files corresponding to the web pages I visit. It seems to be called the cache.

Right now those files are saved in

   C:\Users\userid\AppData\Local\Temp\

but my C drive is a SSD and I don't want them to be there.

Note: In about:config, I created a string

   browser.cache.disk.parent_directory

and set its value to

   D:\Temp\Firefox_temp\

but to no avail: the temporary HTML pages are still created in C:\Users\userid\AppData\Local\Temp\.

I have multiple firefox processes in my task manager. When I end these processes, the next time I open firefox I get additional firefox processes. I currently have seven. How do I stop this from happening

I lost bookmarks and user passes after firefox update. new version of firefox is 77.0.1 (64-bit) I read the related questions but did not understand how I could recover. and attached pictures of my profile.

When I try to read my mail on Microsoft 360, on Outlook, it opens. When I click on a message, it will show up in the preview pain but when the popup open's the email, nothing shows. If I use another browser (IE) it works fine.

My website, www.orthodoxdelmar.org, won't load in Firefox but will load in other browsers. I get a white screen in Firefox. I haven't had a problem with any other website.

I've tried going directly to specific pages on the site. I've exited and restarted Firefox. I've restarted my laptop. I can't find any setting where I might have accidentally blocked the page.

I'm running Firefox 77.0.1 (64 bit) on Windows 10. Laptop only 4 months old.

What am I missing?

Plainly speaking, I don't like the new address bar, how it auto completes my searches or the results it pulls. I didn't like it when it was defaulted to being on starting with version 75 but I was able to easily switch a few setting in about:config to fix it. Those settings no longer affect the address bar as of update 77.

The settings I had changed were:

browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus browser.urlbar.update1 browser.urlbar.update1.interventions browser.urlbar.update1.searchTips

which were all set to false. I saw that setting "browser.urlbar.disableExtendForTests" to "true" might be the solution but, while it does stop the address bar from expanding when using it, it also stops it from expanding at all so the websites that would come up from searching can no longer be seen either (they are still called and using the down arrow will let me scroll through the results, I just can't see any of them). It also doesn't fix the results issue which I would say is the most important.

I would like to know what I need to do so that: 1. The results it shows me are no longer based on frequent visit (basically, the pre-update search system, as is they are scattered and look messy, pulling many different sites in a seemingly random order and it's not particularly useful) 2. It no longer autocompletes results (IE. "F" autocompleting to "facebook.com", this is always something that has bothered me regardless is context) 3. It no longer pops out/expands when in use (admittedly this is mostly an aesthetic issue but I still don't like how it looks)

FoxLingo seems to answer my problem of getting automatic page translation but it does not seem available. I have tried both ImTanslator and Page Translator Revised. They both corrupt the page they translate and page links fail.

Is their an Automatic Translator of webpages that works as well as Google?
