When I try to print anything like a receipt for my online bills or anything. As soon as I click print the Firefox Screen disappears and I get a Crash notice. I had to change my printer from being connected (wired) because the printer said it was not connected to my Ethernet. So now I have it set up as WiFi and it says it is connected. I followed my printers guides and it should be okay. I did try downloading the latest version of Firefox but it still would not let me print. I lose all of my Bookmarks & other things I had if I keep the new download. I don't want to redo all of my bill info or other things I have bookmarked. Why does Firefox crash?

Disabling Autoplay: Why is this such a dismal failure?

First of all, there are so many articles on this site and others that don't update reflecting the huge changes recently in Autoplay options. So many settings from the past don't work or aren't even there anymore. Why are these pages not updated? Who even uses old version of this browser? 99% of the info online is irrelevant because of this sloppiness. Just go to Yahoo.com and see if anything works. Good luck with that. I did find one extension that did work (so far): Disable HTML5 Autoplay But we shouldn't need an extension to do something so basic, so intrinsic to web browsing. We all know distractions impeded our ability to get things done and cost billions every day as people's productivity sharply drops. There is nothing more distracting than a video! So its the number one thing to control. As long as you're over about 4 years old of course. Under that and we're fascinated by unfamiliar shiny objects.

So I'm curious about all the autoplay options I have in about:config and if any of these settings matter anymore, now that I have an extension that does what Firefox seems incapable of doing. When I search for autoplay, this is what I get, sorted alphabetically. I noticed that some are in bold. Why is that? And why is Mozilla so out of touch with us that they can't explain what each of these things actually does? I wonder if they even know. You should be able to hover your mouse cursor over an item and a popup should tell you what it does. Is that so difficult? Guess so.

In short: when I try to change my master password, I get "Unable to change Master Password." error. When I try to remove it, nothing happens.

I've tried numerous "fixes" already, alas none solved the issue. I suspect the logins.json is corrupted in some way or it might contain lines that bug Firefox out somehow. At this point I am only trying to figure out a way to export my passwords and import them back again to Firefox.

Do let me know if you can think of any reliable way to do so as I am all out of ideas. Yes I am aware that I could just manually enter everything again but I'd rather not do that with hundreds if not thousands of websites.

Basic things I tried so far: 1. Reinstalling Firefox.

2. Clearing cache and removing cookies.

3. Disabling plugins and addons.

4. Removing/renaming specific files in the profile folder like pkcs11.txt that was mentioned as a solution for similar issues.

5. Trying safe mode.

6. Creating a new profile and copying over just the aforementioned two files (fresh profile works like a charm but the password files bug Firefox out).

7. Using old key4.db, as I have some backups.

8. Usual malware, virus, windows integrity checks and basic troubleshooting was all done.

System suddenly changed IE to default browser for Thunderbird messages. Going through Settings, Defaults, Firefox is not an option, the icon is not there. The main issue is Thunderbird now opens messages in IE all of a sudden instead of Firefox. In Firefox Options, I click on set default and it comes up with IE or search store for an app. I'd be grateful for any help.

Print Size changed in Firefox and the printed page comes out very small. I have to set it to fill the page every time and it still does not fill the page. I do not want to have to save a file first before printing. If I use Control Print from a selected email I get an Error message. It still shows my printer window. It also comes out small when I click the Print icon in an email window. I'm leaving Firefox if this can't be fixed. I shouldn't have to work this hard or have difficulties with print settings in a browser.

Hi,

I downloaded JDownloader yesterday. It forcefully installed some adware which became the default search engine, can't recall its name and Avast Antivirus. There was no option to uncheck them while installing. Since I didn't like JD at all so I uninstalled them all using Revo Uninstaller. Now while I searched something in the url bar few times that adware's page searched my keywords. I opened my settings and I got this message Your browser is being managed by your organization. PFA. This is my personal laptop connected to my personal wifi. Can I delete everything related to this junk without reinstalling FF? http://www.upl.co/uploads/14291556FF1580471775.jpg http://www.upl.co/uploads/161919FF-11580471781.jpg

Before when i clicked on the URL bar, nothing really happend, i could type or select the URL, all was fine and good.

When i wanted to see the saved URL's, there was a pulldown arrow and i could see the list.

Perfect.

But now when i click the URLbar to copy a URL for example, i get this big block of saved URL's like i clicked on the pull down arrow.

I do not want this.

When i want to just type in the URLbar, i want to type. I do not want to see this big box of saved URL's!

How can i disable this and get the option back that it is for me, myself and i to decide to show the saved URL's or not?
