I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

For the last several versions of Firefox, all attempts at PDF downloads fail. On rare occasions I can go to Save As..., get a dialogue box and save the file. But 80+% of the time it just fails and I have to go and paste the URL into Safari to get the file. Every time Ffx. upgrades I think this might get fixed, but it hasn't. I'm running AdBan and Do Not Track Me in both browsers, so that shouldn't be the issue. Please advise.

Tried: 1. Clean session with no addons. 2. Deleting all *update* folders and all *update*.xml files related to Firefox. 3. Updating manually after restart. 4. Launching as an administrator. In this order.

I clicked the forget option on the Firefox update and now i ave 3 rows deep of 32 icons on my firefox toolbar. Why and how do I get rind of them or else uninstall the forget function? I have a screen shot but can't see where to add it to this question.

I asked this question in an unrelated support ticket so I want to give more detail here. I have tried uninstalling Adobe reader and reinstalling it and it did not help. This was working before with all the exact same addins I had before. I called the Bank and asked if they had any problems and they say no. I can go to the Firefox PDF display for this file and click on download the PDF then double click it in Windows explorer and Adobe reader comes up and displays the file just fine. Don't mind doing that for now. What happens is the bank loads the file then Adobe reader displays with a white screen and a little circle going round and round, like a video is trying to play, and it just sits there forever. I never see the file contents. Anyway I hope your have a good of a day as I am and I know it get better. Thanks Firefox programmers for such a wonderful program.

Update: While I was writing this I remembered to go into Firefox options, then Applications, and wouldn't you know it, a PDF document was set to "Preview in Firefox". I changed that to Adobe reader and now it works just fine. Guess there's something wrong with the Preview code in Firefox. So I'm happy now. Hope this helps someone.

Did ver 33.1 become branded? How do I get rid of this? Without some help, I'll drop FF because if it won't clear links, it's no good to me. thanks for your help.

And why does your report show Ver 33.o when the About Firefox box says 33.1?

Firefox 33.1 latest and the one before had the problem

if i go to "view" then 'zoom' or 'sidebar' or 'toolbar' nothing shows. also cant copy or paste on / to address bar.

works OK in safe mode.

But i cant disable add ons because those disable drop down menus dont work. so i cant deactivate them. may have started in the last release SO i cant tell which add on is a problem.

btw i have windows 7

I have explored the suggested solution pages but if the answer was there I did not understand it. I have clicked on the cog at the top right hand corner of the page and changed from Enhanced to Classic, but that did not give me my 9 tiles back. Upon start up of Fire Fox or any time I click a link to open a new window or if I am in an application that opens a new window, the Google Account login screen keeps opening in a new tab. How do i stop this?

Since installing the latest Firefox update, I get popups from ar.voicefive.com and want to know if there is a way to block this site in particular without blocking popups from all sites..

A small phone button in customization screen seems out of place. It looks like the Hello feature, but it don't works.

What is happening is that Firefox is remaining as a background process in Windows 8.1 Update 1. Every time I start Firefox, there is no navigation, and requires a reboot of the system to fix. There has to be a better way around this. I also have screenshot pictures, but can't upload them here.

Anyone have any fixes for abode flash player invading viewing on many streaming video sites? It seems the latest version won't allowing viewing on most sites without allowing them to track me. I realize it may be the site doing this but it didn't start happening until I downloaded the most recent adobe version this morning.

I have checked my settings and plug-ins and cannot correct it. My Firefox on my work laptop doesn't get these, and neither does Internet Explorer. I'm thinking its a Java thing, but not sure. It's obviously to do with the button (action button). Any suggestions?

Since I updated to the latest release of Firefox a few days ago every time I click a link or in a dialog box (like this one) or try to pin something in Pinterest a google play window opens up. I have no new pluggi-ns and no add-ons. I have also scanned my cpu for viruses and none was found. What is causing this issue, which is driving me crazy, and how can it be fixed?

So I've completely wiped my browser history, multiple times. But I still get /all/ of my history in the awesome bar, which is just super aggravating. What can I do?

I used to be able to email a link from Firefox or just click on an email address in a website. Firefox does bring up my email (Yahoo mail) but the email link is not in the body or if I clicked on an email the To: portion of the email is not populated. Please help, this was a very useful feature.

Have never seen two Mozilla browser downloads at the same time on the list of computer programs. 33.0.3 showing 77.4 MB size while 33.1 has blown up to 155 MB. Ironically, that 155 figure is basically 77.4 multiplied twice... Two browser downloads on the program list at the same time - huh?
