"Privacy-Preserving Ad Measurement" default for GPC users?
If I have Global Privacy Control turned on, will "Privacy-Preserving Ad Measurement" be turned on automatically when I upgrade, or will I have to disable it?

after rebooting computer, or firefox crashing, its restoring my tabs/session from a week ago, not the latest ones. When I go to the 3 lines, history, the options/choices are Recently closed tabs, Recently closed windows, Search history, Clear recent history, but no option for restore previous session. In the past, it would restore my tabs that I was most recently using automatically, but now, when I reboot my computer or when it crashes, it doesnt restore the MOST RECENT tabs, but instead from the automatically saved tabs session from a week ago. Since then, Ive rebooted Firefox, or had it crash many times, but it continually bring up my tab sessions from about 1 week ago.
I checked the settings to see that saving history is on Open previous windows and tabs IS checked/on. Remember history is ON, Im not using private browsing.
This is a big time waster, bc when I finish reading articles and close them, it reopens them after Firefox restarts. In addition, any new tabs I was in the middle of, it is not savings/restoring them.
How to fix this?
How doe google manage to change my search engine from duckduckgo to google? It happens often and i REALLY dont want google

I just get a blank page upon attempting to enter the site, but with no content. Grateful if someone could advise.

Is there some way to enable and disable specific config settings , on a per-site basis?
For example, let's say I want to disable right-click hijacking (dom.event.contextmenu.enabled) on turtlesaregreat.com, but use the default settings everywhere else.
The Page Info > Permissions panel has some, but not all the ones I want. Is this somehow built into Firefox, or maybe there's an extension?
Thanks.

My Firefox installation is several years old. As I peruse the Certificate database there are some that I have concerns about, however I have no way of knowing whether they are part of Firefox's default certificate database or were somehow added later. So, two (2) questions.
1. How can I replace the current certificate database with Firefox's current default database?
2. Is there somewhere a list of what certificate authorities are included in the default database?
Thank you in advance.

I don't remember with which version of Firefox for Linux this issue started; but I cannot play multiple videos at once. If I open two tabs with video sources one of the videos will automatically pause if I start watching the second one.
I have tried disabling my add-ons but the issue persists and I don't think there should be any reason for any of them interfering with videos.
Currently running Firefox 120.0 (64-bit - Arch Linux)

How can i set a local image instead of a link? If i use a local storage path, it just gives an error: "Valid URL required". EDIT: found out that the folder: C:\Users\moder\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\XXXXXXXX.default-release\thumbnails is being cleared when the browser is closed, despite the options to clear exclude cache. Can this be assumed as a bug?

Hello,
On the webpage https://www.drivethrurpg.com/pub_tools.php Firefox breaks. Image here for reference: https://imgur.com/a/382kw9L. The area in red in the first image is an error.
From the console I saw that the website is shifted to Quirks Mode.
From a discussion with their support they said that this is a Firefox issue, as the website does indeed work fine in Chrome and Edge.
Not sure why this is triggering Quirks Mode.
In the same imgur album (above) you can see that the page has a proper doctype HTML header.
Any ideas?

When I do a search, then click on one result, it loads the result website in the same tab; but the Back arrow <- in the menu bar is grayed out, so I can't go back to the search that I did to select other results. I'm pretty sure Firefox behavior on redirects used to present an option to "allow for this site." But if it did, that is now gone. There is only "allow." It allows once, and the next time you visit the same site, you have to allow again. And again. And again. Since one of these sites is the enrollment management system for my college, something I access literally hundreds of times each semester, this is fantastically annoying. I know how to turn off redirection altogether, but that seems like a blunderbuss solution. Most of the time, I like that warning. I just want to allow exceptions. Is there any way to do this?

Greetings Firefox Community
As I long time user and supporter (have donated and even got a shirt to show!) I have never had any issues with my beloved FF. If anything minor had happened, I would always find a quick fix on the community forums.
This one is an odd ball: for a while now Firefox forgets all saved passwords but only after a cold reboot (not a restart or sleep).
It's my elderly mum's laptop, which I manage for her using a remote desktop app. It's a fairly new Asus Vivobook with Win11, fully updated and free from viruses and hacks as we have installed paid versions of both Malwarebytes and HitmanPro.Alert. My Windows desktop runs exactly the same OS and those two security software, and my FF never ever forgets anything! The only difference is that her Windows and FF are set to the Italian language while mine is English.
After trying a "refresh", I exported her passwords and bookmarks and took the drastic step of completely wiping FF and even removing profiles. Reinstalled the latest x64 version and the problem is still happening.
Had a good look at both security software to ensure there was no funny setting to cause that to occur, fact is the laptop also runs Chrome and Edge with all the same saved passwords yet those two pesky browsers never forget anything!
Personally, I'd much prefer for her to continue to use FF rather than the other two, so I am shouting out for HELP, please! Hope someone has seen this and/or knows how to fix it.
Many thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to all! Cheers Paul Perth - Australia

my hardware is very outdated already and i wanna try if my firefox runs better without any hardware acceleration like running fully on software.
i don't think that just simply disabling the hardware acceleration in the settings disables the entire hardware acceleration because there are way more about:config preferences which are related to hardware acceleration.

All items except but the top one (privacy) in the right-side menu in vimeo are partially hidden and so not fully functional. This problem does not occur in Microsoft Edge, and so it evidently is a Firefox problem. Adjusting the width of the window for Friefox has no effect on the problem.
