If I am on a web site and click a link to another page on the same website Firefox opens a new tab rather than displaying it in the existing tab. How do I get Firefox to NOT do this?

I am on a Apple Silicon MacMini M1 ARM running the latest Mac OS of Ventura. why does Firefox think I am on an Intel machine under Mac OSx 10.15 when I am on Mac OS Ventura? I assume that Mozilla does not have a ARM version or is this a configuration issue? Or is there a different issue at play here?

I'm participating in a discussion group based on Wordpress (learning.martinus.dk), and when I try to sign in (learning.martinus.dk/wp-login.php), I get the error.

My IP adr. is 80.208.65.123 and it is NOT suffering from poor reputation -- and no problem when I sign in from e.g. Chrome!

So what can I do so I can use my favorite browser here too!?  ;o)

CONTEXT - I use a Linux (Peppermint) Live DVD to surf the Web, always on the same laptop. I do NOT use any hard disk inside that laptop, just the Live DVD spinned by a DVD player. Only the RAM stores data => fresh new distro for every session - years ago, I created a Firefox account, and the Sync worked perfectly, and allowed me to back up my Bookmarks AND my Opened Tabs (they are stored in Mozzila's cloud, and after each sign in and a sync, they reappear in the left panel). Regarding the Synced Tabs, the left panel used to store all the previous Live DVD sessions (generally with the device's name: peppermint's Linux... (IIRC). - i do NOT use several devices, and do NOT wish to sync date acreoss them. I use Sync to get my Bookmarks and Opened Tabs synced across successive Firefox sessions, day after day. I worked perfectly well.

PROBLEM Since a few weeks, I noted that despite login and sync, on the left panel - Synced Tabs are now empty: no tabs synced at all => so I cannot seamlessly find back my opened tabs from one session to another (if I switch off my laptop, then later restart a new Live DVD session) - see screenshot = https://imgur.com/LO6jWLYl.png - Bookmarks are nevertheless still perfectly synced (see screenshot = https://i.imgur.com/Td0nbY2.png)

The built-in screenshot feature in Firefox is great in many ways, but for some reason when selecting "Copy" (Copy screenshot to clipboard) instead of "Download", and then pasted into the Apple Mail app the receiver will get a file attachement named "PasteGraphic-1.TIFF".

It would be a lot more practical to have it saved in the PNG format which makes the file smaller and more compatible. I haven't been able to find any option for this though, but is it perhaps hidden somewhere like in "about:config", or is this something the developers can look into?

Hi, Generally I'm checking, if I will manage to migrate from the Vivaldi to Firefox...

But I have the first issue, which is: When I click (not spin!) the middle mouse button on the page to scroll (like it is in Windows), then it has too great sensitivity. It goes like crazy up and down, I didn't see any other browser which implemented it this way. Can this sensitivity be somehow lowered?

I will repeat just in case, I'm not talking about spinning the mouse wheel, but clicking it.

I use thousands of text replacement shortcuts on my Mac, which are all honored by Safari, Chrome and virtually every other browser, but not FireFox. What's up with that?

Ever since the most recent update to Firefox I consistently get the following message when attempting to login to https sites which I have been connecting to for years: Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.att.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

Error code:PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Clearly the problem is with Firefox and not with the website owner since it occurs with all websites.

I found over 100 instances of PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR but the few responses I looked at were back in 2021 or 2022. One solution suggested clearing the cache which I did and I was then able to connect. But now that does not help. Is my only reliable solution to delete Firefox and use some inferior browser?

I changed computers and created a login to save bookmarks, it looked like this was accomplished but now on my new computer and after I login in Firefox it asks me to import but fire fox is not an option.

somewhile back i got a chase app add for getting deals and stuff with their help, it has been useless and want to delete it but cannot find where to delete it. i am still getting messages like.. we can save you money.. get a better deal. ect ect. stuff like that but cant find to delete.

I have been using an old version of Firefox (109.0.1). I am not typically using a newer version because of an essential - to me - add-on which hasn't been updated, and which doesn't work in more recent versions.

On macOS Sierra this old version of Firefox crashes. Troubleshooting mode (I was prompted a number of times) and restarting the browser appears to eventually resolve the crash, but finally there is an issue with the memory and the browser doesn't "work."

Hello, I hope you can help me. I am trying to print from my email. I use windows 10. two different computers, two different printers, same issue. If I try to print an itinerary or anything that contains an image it does not print the image and only parts of the text. If i do it in chrome or edge it works fine. I am attaching an example with an Strava email. The first two pages are from firefox. the second two are from chrome. Even if I scale down the size in firefox, the image of the map does not appear. I print from the small icon to print within the mail, as it should be done. I tried most of what i know, and this is a firefox issue. Can you please help? many thanks and regards jean

I recently renamed a number of "htm" files and their associated "_files" folders. I used windows "rename" function, which I now know was wrong. I now know to open the file in Firefox and use the Firefox "Save as" function to rename.

So my improperly renamed htm files no longer associate with their "_files" folders that contain .js, .css and .svg files necessary to open the page. I end up with a blank screen

I've read a number of posts on how to use "save as" to maintain the file and folder association, but I have found nothing on how to "fix" this "after the fact".

Ideas?

Your new update, like your last several suck. It is sssllllooowww to load most webbsites. Watching a video is frustrating, pausing every few secons. I am SICK OF EATCHING THAT WHEEL GO ROUND AND ROUND. What is most frustrating is your damned "Update" looser, piggy-backed of of a windows update. I DID NOT want an update, because you idiots cant create a update that doesnt screw up every aspect of peoples browsing or interne5 experience. To m,ake it worse, you cowards hide.
