when I want to download a podcast from ARD Podcast, I can click "Download," but the "Download" button is missing from the subsequent window. With Duckduck, it's no problem.

Firefox always redownloads images, and always with a different request than the one displaying them. This frequently causes downloads to fail, or repeats large downloads. I have had this issue for years now. When I attemp to download an image, do not redownload it. Instead, save what was already downloaded. If you insist on redownloading it, then use the same request as was used to display it. There have been so many images I can see but that fail to download. It's incredibly frustrating and I was hoping someone would fix it but no one did so today I speak up. This affects desktop and mobile

Hi! I've recently found an issue with VirtualBox Extension Pack download in Firefox. Instead of downloading the file, it just shows me a web page with a lot of gibberish, like its trying to display the content of the file itself. I'm using Windows 11 and no extensions in Firefox. The only way i have for the moment to download that file is through Edge. Can you tell me why this happens? I have been trying to save images from a game I play to file (locally). I've been doing this for years, but now all of a sudden within the last (week??) it's not doing it AT all.

For one thing it now opens my in-game image - into a whole new tab (which is absolutely bizarre and annoying!!)

When I DO go to 'right click' on this image to save, I have it PRE-SET to go to my preferred location to save as a PNG file.

I go to windows explorer and it's NOT there. I try it again! Saving it as a JPG, NOT THERE.

Restarted the browser... tried again (resumed the game, got to the place where I wanted the screenshot..it's an ingame 'screen shooter' that's worked for me for years in Opera and Chrome).

It GRABS the screenshot, no problem! But to save the image (no matter the file format) it WILL NOT DO ITTttttttttttttttt

I am going bonkers. I have double checked the file path. I've given it a VERY Specific name JUST in case if I DID save it somewhere 'stupid' lol!! I've checked my 'screenshots' folder! (Which is also bizarre to me!) These images *Are noooooooooowhere*

This is a very new thing for this browser (For me!)

i've gone through my Firefox settings insofar as I can see - with a fine tooth comb. I've cleared ALL CACHE and TMP folders, REBOOTED the system, restarted my browser (which is supposedly fully up-to-date! I Check on this *Daily*)

Can you please help me out here?? this is driving me bat sh*t crazy I'm the desktop PC/Windows 11. i've run scans for drivers! For any system updates! My browsers are ALL up to date!

I tried running this in Opera and it works!! But I need to keep things separate and chose Firefox for this particular game (in-browser).

I am at a loss and can't think of what else I can try to do! (if there's a setting I've over looked! if this is a known issue... I have lost the patience to try and filter through the help pages I'm so sorry) this has put me to my wits end.

This keeps happening - not an isolated incident.

The option to open a dialog box to upload a file becomes non-existent. Concurrently, I'm unable to download and save files.

This is resolved when Mozilla releases an update and I can update my browser. Then eventually something happens and the features stop working. It's like a download fails and then blocks further ones. However, there isn't something obviously stuck in my downloads history.

I can't seem to close my browsers and reopen it to fix, have to wait for an update but this always resolves it. This has happened at least a dozen times now. It is NOT my operating system.

This is wildly frustrating.

I'd been trying to download 2 large files from Icann and kept getting premature completion with Firefox. It would be showing ##MB of 356MB downloaded for a few seconds and then out of the blues it just says completed. As you can see in the shared video, I've tried this several times.

I thought that maybe one of the Firefox addons was causing the issue so I tried Troubleshoot Mode but that resulted in the same behavior.

I then went into Firefox Profile Manager and created a new profile. But that too had the same behavior - 🤔!

So I then tried Chromium. It completed the download successfully and the file passed gunzip test.

So, why is Firefox, even with a new profile, failing to complete a download?

Beforehand, I must say that I am a big fan of Firefox, I've been an user since the beginning. However, sadly I am switching to Safari due to the fact that I work with file transfers through Wetransfer platform and fro some unknown reason I get incomplete downloads from Firefox. I tried all the steps and procedures to refresh, uninstall, reinstall, troubleshoot mode and even switching accounts. Furthermore, nothing worked. I hope you guys can fix this issue and have me back. Trying to download a zip file to be able to move forward with this job offer with Turbo tax and it will not let me. Need to find & remove the problem they said. I have no tech experience. Please help.

I access google drive through Mozilla Firefox and also zip file or other file download but since 1 to 2 weeks i faced issue to download files especially js file.How can I solve this?

My downloads keep failing every time. I tried everything from this list but all I get is download failed, this has been an issue for years. I have to press the try again button about 3000 times for it to slowly download a bit by bit but for larger files its impossible.
