Hi,

Where does Mozilla Firefox saves the files from add-ons? Don't know if it is from Windows update or from Firefox update, but my add-ons settings keeps on resetting and I lose a lot of data from them because of that. And if I know where Firefox saves those files, then I can make a backup for them.

I am a new developer and I'm trying to learn how cookies work, but I don't know how to view what the actual cookie value is, so that I can check if I did it correctly. I see where you can set the defaults you want and enable or disable cookies, but where can you view the content in FireFox browser? I know in Google Chrome you can see all the cookies and their values in settings, content, cookies, view all. Thanx, Gil

Apparently pushed the wrong "Download" button. Now instead of my homepage (which I have reset), when I open Firefox the "search.conduit.com" page opens. I used the "about:config" procedure several times but it didn't work. There is nothing listed on "add/remove" that is related. Also scanned with Ad-aware, Super AntiSpyware and Norton 360. How do I clean search.conduit out of my browser?

There were a couple of posts asking the same thing I am, but no answers to either of the. You used to have that Theme and Font Size Changer but I hear that is not very useful anymore. Is there any other way to increase the text on tool bars and menus? It's just way too small. Text on web pages is fine but I can't hardly read the tool bars and menus unless I really squint. Why would you want to make it so terribly small with no way to adjust it?

Was infested with Babylon so I was really ticked off wrote a nasty note to the makers of this software.. They sent me this response.. And yes I did try a number of things before I did the following

For Firefox: Write in the adress line "about:config" and enter. Confirm the message. Look for "Babylon". Right-click the entries and click "Reset".

Nothing worked till I did this.. I went tru and reset every item in the list.. and now no longer have to deal with it redirecting me. I did try removing the program from the program list, I did remove all from my registry, I did remove from my search engine list.. nothing worked until I got this information from the manufacturer of this software with a giant apology

Thank you for taking the time to write us.

Please accept my apology for any inconvenience.

In order to uninstall Babylon and all its features completely, follow the 4 steps below : 1) Uninstall Babylon Software: http://support.babylon.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/177/0/uninstall-babylon-software

2) Change Babylon Home Page (Internet Explorer \ Firefox \ Google Chrome): http://support.babylon.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/175/0/change-babylon-home-page

3) Remove Babylon search provider http://support.babylon.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/174/0/change--babylon-search-engine

4) Tab issue: In case you open a new tab, and Babylon Search still appears, please do the following:

For Internet Explorer: Open your Internet Explorer browser, click on "Tools", then "Internet Options" and in the section "Tabs" click on "Settings". It will open a new window, on the option "When a new tab is opened, open:" in the drop-down menu please choose "Your first homepage". Then click OK, Apply and OK.

For Firefox: Write in the adress line "about:config" and enter. Confirm the message. Look for "Babylon". Right-click the entries and click "Reset".

For Google: 1.Click on Customize and control Google Chrome (wrench icon) and select settings. 2. click the Manage search engines... button. 3. Select Google from the list and make it your default search engine. 4. Select Search the web (Babylon) from the list remove it by clicking the "X" mark. On startup ?mark the Open a specific page or set of pages?? click set pages?? put your home page, if you see Babylon on the list, click the "X" mark.

Today I updated my Firefox Developer Edition to version 89.0b2 and now I just can not look at this browser anymore, "Inspired new tab design" is taking too much space and now became largest and at the same time least information-dense panel in my entire desktop! I searched around the web for a bit in hopes that I will find a theme or an add-on that will revert this particular change but no luck. I really want to revert to old UI look (at least tabs bar), there should be default theme or option to get back to old style. After some investigation I found userChrome.css but don't really want to install it (maybe this is actually the way of doing this kind of styling). Please help me revert UI design to old one.

Since I updated to 77.0.1 firefox has for unknown reason has concluded that there is a system administrator which has disabled updates. It says so in setting (topleft) and in about firefox (instead of update button). I have been able to change all other settings that I know of. I have also refreshed the browser once, disabled all addons once, and deinstalled it to reinstall the latest version once.

Is there a solution for this bug?

Hi all,

I've been having problems with firefox lagging constantly. General browsing around feels laggy - and opening new tabs pretty much causes my computer to freeze for a few seconds. During this time firefox causes the CPU to spike to 100% usage.

I've been using firefox for years on this computer with no issues. Hardware is pretty good (i7 5820k, 64GB of ram and an SSD).

So far I have tried:

  • Running in safe mode
  • Using a different profile
  • Downgrading to an older firefox
  • Changing allowed CPU cores from 8, to 4
  • Updated graphic card drivers to latest version

None of these work, and I'm getting a bit tired of the constant slow downs. Chrome works flawlessly, as does all my other software...

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm feeling sick of Firefox because it's wasting my time -- I do a lot of online research, and I just want to simply click on a link and go to the site! Instead Firefox browser opens a new tab every time I click on a link. Which means I have to wade through a pile of old tabs, and spend precious moments closing them.

Is my brower not working right? Or can the settings be changed? Or is that just the way Firefox works nowadays? I've tried various Tab Options -- but none of them simply make it so a link goes straight to a site, without opening a new tab or window.

Hi,

When I go to Facebook on Mozilla and try to use the messenger app to run a video call (using microsoft surface running windows 10), the default camera is my rear facing camera. There is no toggle i can see to switch it to the front camera. I cannot do so in window settings and have spoken with Microsoft support which tells me to call mozilla support. I cannot do it in any of the facebook settings either. I cannot do it with camera settings in mozilla either. I can use the front camera successfully from chrome! I can from Edge! I can from Zoom. I like mozilla and want to keep using it but if I can't resolve this I will likely just switch to chrome permanently. Please let me know how to select the default camera in mozilla. Thank you.
