The update 29.0 has moved the tabs to the top, changing the "about:config" value changes nothing. Is there a solution to this problem?

I had located information ( within mozilla support ) referencing instructions to delete content from a folder. Please provide specific instructions as to the location of this folder.

Please advise.

Well, new aurora, yippie, who the F asked for it?!?

It looks like some macbook crap. Well anyways - i cant put my tabs back on the bottom as you could with the browser.tabs.on.top true/false line in the about:config. Also there is apparently no option to drag your search line down to the addon toolbar at the bottom, because the addon toolbar is non existent.

Is there anyway to undo the crap they did, or is it permanent?

I remember a time when Firefox was an awesome browser. Then some ....... thought it would be a good idea to rip all good features out of it and replace them with ..... nonfunctional, unintuitive, user-unfriendly bull.

Where is my "browse by name"? Where is my statusbar? Why can't I see where a link directs to when I hover over it? Why do you insist on having tabs on top? Why can't I have a menubar? Why do I have to use some built-in media player? Why can't I turn off javascript? When I begin typing an url, but mistype the first letter, why do I have to hit backspace twice? One awesome add-on was Download Statusbar. Why doesn't it work anymore? Why do I have to use some ..... download arrow? Why do my navigation buttons have to be scattered all over the ........ place? Why isn't my search-for-text window-wide, but do I have to type the same query on every ....... tab? Why is the default theme so ..... ugly?

I could go on and on, but these are just some issues off the top of my head (in fact, I'm surprised myself how many issues I could easily come up with).

I have to install addons, special themes, userscripts, change hidden about:config settings and God knows what other hacks to counter the stupid changes. Each release I have to go to greater lengths to keep Firefox the way I want it, until finally it's ...... .. beyond repair.

I get that you want to be "hip" and "cool" and "fresh" like Chrome, but that's not what I want. Chrome sucks monkey balls. If that's what I wanted, I would have switched to Chrome years ago. Firefox used to be awesome because I could use it the way I wanted.

I have seen loads of threads requesting to bring back features we all loved and used.

Mozilla, please get your (act) together and restore Firefox to it's former glory, or I'm afraid you're going to lose a lot of your users.

on FF 27 a small gray x appears on each tab and this can be used to delete the tab even when it is not 'open' (when another tab is open in the window)

it seems that on FF 29 the delete tab 'x' now appears only on the open tab - this means when you have a lot of tabs you want to delete (not all in that window) you have to open each tab and then delete it :-(

am i missing something? is there a way to delete tabs that aren't open or config the ubiquitous 'x' back onto all tabs?

Mozilla just updated to version 29.0 beta. My browser was set up as following:

File, Edit, View etc are first; then there is home button and address bar; then bookmark toolbar; and finally tabs.

Now tabs are on top of address bar and I can't move it down. I tried going about:config with browser.tabs.on Top but it just does not work at all.

I use default skin for Firefox and I don't have any visual add ons.

I can barely see the inactive tabs in the default theme for Firefox 29. They are muddy gray, hard to see, nearly impossible to read, and indistinguishable from the unused space for additional tabs. Can inactive tabs be brightened a bit?

Or can you recommend an add-on theme that will make the inactive tabs easier to see? Some of the other themes I tried aren't supported in Release 29.

Thanks.

The new Aurora Australis is absolute garbage. None of my prospector addons work anymore, my most important standard addons (Tab Mix Plus, Stratiform, just to name two) are now nonfunctional, I am physically unable to change tabs using mouseclicks, and the User Interface is glitchy, primarily in that some icons are completely transparent and are as such invisible. If I wanted an overly simple, unintuitive interface, I would have downloaded Chrome or Safari. Can I please get a download for the most recent version of Aurora pre-29 (Australis)? Thank you.

The list of problems includes: Tabs are now unclickable. They can be closed and navigated via keyboard, but are not accessible via mouse Many addons do not work, including: Prospector - LessChrome Prospector - OneLiner Prospector - SearchPreview Tab Mix Plus Stratiform Any and all personas do not fully cover the UI Icons are invisible, including Tab Groups New Tab Add to Bookmarks

Since upgrading to FF 20, I have lost the ability to move my tool bars around. I very much prefer my address bar be below my tabs. Also, I would like the tabs to have boxes around the names, or some type of definition. Also, I keep getting a message to turn on the placeholder for my RoboForm program. It is already turned on but the toolbar will not display. It is checked under View->Toolbars.

Thanks  :-)

I am being ordered to download a new security update which is most important, or so the boffins running Firefox keep telling us. These boffins also say the new update means I cannot have my NASA Night Launch dark theme as inspired by the night launch of STS-116. I've had this theme for years and I have no intention of giving it up - without, of course, having to decide to give up Firefox completely. That's a shame, but that's the way it is. I guess since I can't disable the security warnings in Firefox 30, I mean Chromefox, yes that's exactly what it is now, I am going to can Firefox until they decide to get with the program! This message pops up with just about everything so no point in asking stupid questions back like what sites, or coming up with some dumb fix that must be enabled on every site in the world! Mozilla really dropped the ball lately and should be ashamed of them selves! Firefox used to be my favorite browser because they were different! Now I see no point in having it at all! May as well just use Google Chrome! I mean after all why use a cheap substitute when you can have the real thing? Mozilla has become a joke now! Lets see what type of dumb answers come up with this post! Bet they will be " You don't want to do that" " What sites are you having problems with" This is a clean computer with clean OS and fresh install of Chromefox! You know what they say, if it looks like a duck, sound like a duck and acts like a duck, then it must be a duck! :{
