The problem (Firefox being slow) happens within the confines of Troubleshoot Mode, I have already attempted a restart as well as clearing all temporary cached files and pages to no avail. While I did manage to make it better through setting my proxy settings to 'No Proxy', Firefox still seems to be running at a slower pace than even the dreaded Chrome. Youtube is the worst offender, with videos that used to run smoothly in Chrome now lagging, buffering, and moving so slow that Youtube is forced to automatically reduce the video quality (however, I should note that even on 360p do I encounter a large amount of slowness). Please note that I am a total dummy when it comes to technical stuff, so I will most likely need extensive and comprehensive instructions on ways to solve/diagnose this issue. I thank anyone who's willing to help me with this, it's the only thing that Firefox is worse at in comparison with Chrome.

Do I need Firefox 78.0.2 (x64) and Firefox ESR (x64)? Also I noticed I have noticed a very slow startup. I have an old Dell Vostro 460 PC. I also did a Task Manager and noticed five Firefox process. Can I shut some of these down?

Hallo, seit einiger Zeit friert die Seite von " welt.de" ein. Komischerweise nur diese, sonst keine andere Internetseite. Ich habe schon gegoogelt, woran das liegen kann, habe aber nichts gefunden. Gibt es von ihrer Seite hier Tipps, was zu machen wäre ? Grüße Stefan Zintl

For at least the last two weeks, I have experienced a lot of trouble working with Mozilla Firefox. Just reading my emails is an arduous task.

It crashes, I lose internet connection, it does not "respond," etc., and Symantec Norton 360 cannot find out WHY! I have deleted Firefox and reinstalled it, and it is still unreliable.

Before I have to resort to using another browser, can YOU tell me what is going on. I have a Dell desktop, using Windows 10 Pro (obtained in 2018). Firefox is my default browser. I also have Google Chrome installed.

Please help!

Firefox quite often will remove, replace, add, or layer text as I use it. It has been doing this since I first downloaded it, and I haven't had it for long. (I will say that it isn't the first program I've seen do this. the only other program I've seen do this is Zotero.) I'm not doing anything weird with it, it just happens as I use it. Some of the screenshots I've submitted are of what I'm literally typing right now.

I've tried using troubleshoot mode, but it works just fine when I'm using troubleshoot mode, so I can't appropriately use that mode.

It is consstantly freezing up. Sometimes if I click the x the window will refresh but that takes a minute or two. Mostly all I can do is close everything and start over.

I wish you answered the phone. I waste soooooo much time trying to fix this. Chrome doesnt do this

Firefox occasionally stalls during a page load or refresh. A quit/start sequence of Firefox resolves the stall without further action. Is there a key sequence that invokes a restart: Firefox 140.0.2 (aarch64), MacOS 15.5 (24F74)

Every day gmail goes from moderately responsive to slower than frozen molasses taking 10 seconds or more to respond to mouse clicks and typing which is taking up a lot of my time and will likely result in an ulcer it is so annoying.

This happens a lot all of a sudden. It used to say something like this "script is slowing down the page" or "page is slowing down browser" but it's only Outlook/Hotmail.

It's super annoying. Any fixes?
