I-Firefox Community Forum

When I login to amazon, it asks my user name (normal), then asks my password (normal), then when it sends a code to my phone, it freezes the entire browser and I have to force quit Firefox. Been happening a week, I've cleared history, run several programs (Malwarebytes and CCleaner-with normal results) and restarted my computer (Macbook Air running Sequoia 15.6.1). Any fix for this?

Firefox has been running smoothly for the last 6 months. Recently I started receiving Firefox Crash Reporter dialog boxes when opening the app. The app never opens, but I receive three crash reporter dialog boxes.

What I have tried: Repair Reinstall Deleted every Mozilla folder in App cache and other device locations. Did another reinstall. App never loads and I receive a crash report. Updated Windows. Restarted laptop. Etc. Everything else on the device runs perfectly.

Firefox keeps crashing and Hanging and I get the error message "gah your tab etc" I have followed the advice for fixing the problem but it keeps coming back Its really annoying when you are trying to do something I'm no computer whiz and I have looked at the crash reports, its just gobble gook to me, I need help to fix the problem.

I have notebook no issues, My Desktop however I get tabs crashing with firefox, Apache Open Office but not with Doc files in open office and not with chrome and Edge they run without any issues. I keep having an issue on my desktop of every new tab I open crashing. I can access the homepage, but if I put anything into the search bar, the screen goes to "Gah. Your tab just crashed. We can help! Choose Restore This Tab to reload the page." And when I try to restore the page, it brings me back to that screen again. I couldn't even access Mozilla Support on my desktop to report this, I am on this site through my phone.

I've used Slack every day for the past decade, and Firefox has been my primary browser for some time now. I've never had an issue with the two, but now, Firefox is reliably crashing every time I attempt to open Slack.

I've tried clearing my cache both broadly and specific to Slack, with neither producing results. Even tried deleting all cookies on Firefox, which was a bit of a pain, and it was no help.

I did read up on some people encountering a similar issue that could be fixed by deleting the Slack entry in "about:serviceworkers," but this did not help here.

The only extension I'm running is uBlock Origin, which I've been running for probably as long as I've been using Firefox, and that has never presented an issue before either.

Would appreciate any help or advice on the matter.

Over the past few weeks, tabs keep crashing several times a day. It happens most often on X, but this morning, a tab crashed while completing an online order (grrr). My computer is up to date, cookies, cache and history cleared regularly and today I "refreshed" Firefox. In less than an hour, tab crashed again. What is going on???

I'm very close to changing browsers.

Over the past 2 or 3 weeks, I've noticed that firefox tabs are crashing more often out of nowhere.

Here's one of the links for the most recent tab crash. Other crashes pretty much were all the same. I can't read or understand this, so I was hoping someone who can is able to tell me what is wrong.

I fear that it might be hardware related, as I've had tabs also crash on Edge and on a new install of Firefox Developer Edition (which I downloaded simply to test if things crashed there as well.) I've also noticed programs like Discord & Elgato Wave Link sometimes randomly crashing as well - but I'm unsure how to pull logs for those, Firefox was the easiest.

Attempted to do an Firefox update more than a month ago on my HP (microsoft windows) computer. Everytime I open my computer I gt the Firefox Crash Reporter Window. When I hit the Quit firefox box it submits the crash report and then I X out the box. I cannot use Firefox as a browser. The DISASTER is that I CANNOT open any files previously downloaded while using Firefox (eg PDF files). I get the crash report box. I NEED these files!

Every time I make Firefox full-screen, it immediately crashes and shuts down. I have restarted the computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but it still doesn't work.

I've been using Firefox all morning. Now, for some unknown reason, every time I start it up, it immediately crashes Windows. I mean, within 1 second or so. There's no time to do anything. After the fourth crash in a row, I just restarted Windows again. It was humming along happily for 10 minutes or so, and then crashed as soon as I started Firefox. After the first crash, the first thing it did was update, but that didn't fix anything. I'd love to share data with you but I'm forced to use Edge right now.

I run Firefox under Linux Mint. Both are always update to the latest level. Over the past 1 to 1.5 years, across updates to both Firefox and Mint and multiple 'clean' installs of Firefox, I have experienced many crashes from Firefox per week. Sometimes there will be as many as 5 per day, but never less than one per day. During the same period I have also been running Vivaldi; it has not crashed once in that time. Now I have to do something. If there is a simple way to perform 'problem source identification', that is within my capability, I would be grateful for advice. As far as I can tell both of these browsers run with just 1 add-on/extension: uBlock Origin. Disabling this extension in Firefox does not stop Firefox from crashing.

First got a msg box from Firefox that my W10 PC had crashed overnite - and I could report it. My PC was back up & looked normal - but when I accessed Firefox the PC crashed - then I got the above error & blue screen and could do nothing on the PC! I restarted again - as long as I DO NOT START FIREFOX - my PC is fine. Help pls! For what it's worth, I happened to open a lot of tabs in Firefox yesterday. Drivers are up-to-date. Vicki

I have been getting this error for about a week - absolutelyu no changes have been made to my usual use of the PC and browser. There may have been Firefox/Windows updates installed. I'm not doing anything different to the usual work I do.

I have tried using a new Firefox profile with no cached info carried over, this doesn't solve the problem. I have no extensions or add ons. I do run Avast, but haven't had this problem before.

Firefox keeps crashing and I get a message saying it is still running but won't work. Error code below. This has been happening for 4 weeks or so. Can anyone help?
