I can't download anything anymore. I get the "failed" message. I see in support questons that this has been going on for a long time even though there have been repeated "fixes" reported. I've used Firefox for a long time and really prefer it, but I'm having to change to Chrome to be able to complete my work.

What has happened to typing and viewing the content of the search INSIDE the Google search box? Why this does not work now and the search moves to the address bar where it is tight and one cannot see all content of the search? Why have you done this? How can I bring it back please? I hate is as is now.

For some reason any time I try to access Yahoo I am automatically differed to the German site. Even if I manually enter yahoo.com I am deferred to "de.yahoo.com/?p=us". On other browsers there is no such issue.

Running Firefox 120.0.1 on Windows 10. I also run Vivaldi and test with Chrome. I installed Google Analytics Opt-Out add-ons on FF, Vivaldi, and Chrome. When I go to any site with links to X (Twitter), and click on the link, instead of that link appearing the last X link I went to appears. If I click again I get to the correct link.

When I disable the Google Analytics Opt-Out add-on all works fine. This doesn't happen with either of the Chromium browsers, so I'm thinking there's something happening in Firefox by avoiding Google analytics that isn't in the Chromium browsers. In addition, this behavior began within the past couple of weeks of recent FF updates.

I installed several different Google Analytics add-ons and the same thing happened in FF, but not in the Chromium browsers.

Any ideas? I know I can disable the analytics crushers but I really don't want Google hijacking my browsing.

Hello Mozilla Support, I want to ask how to turn off suggested websites on my home shortcut. I searched on the internet, but everything I tried didn't work.

I am using Firefox version 119.0.1 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 22.04. Using this version of Firefox, as well as previous versions for the last few months, I am having a persistent error when using Google Advanced Search. I enter search criteria into the field “Find pages with … all these words” and successfully progress through a chain of web pages. Previously I was able to backtrack to the previously mentioned field and find my search criteria, then edit the text, and carry out a modified search. For many months this field has been blank when returning to it. So it is now necessary to re-enter all text for a new search. This is very frustrating. I have experienced this problem on the three computers that I regularly use.

I have found that when I use the Google Chrome browser the problem goes away and searches progress normally. I would much prefer to use Firefox as my browser as I find its bookmark system superior. The truth is that if this problem with Firefox can’t be fixed soon I will be forced to migrate to Chrome. Can you please help me resolve this Firefox problem?

I am using the latest version of Firefox on Linux Mint. I've had some flash on opening issues that I've been unable to permanently prevent. Suddenly my adblock software is not working. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, different adblocks-no improvement. No extension software is showing on my toolbar and selecting the extensions software just brings up a suggested extensions.

Stop tabs from automatically refreshing to top of page. Many people have this problem and I don't find a fix. One article states to go to Options and "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page," but I can't find options.

Ok well i went to about config and tired off all the accessibility about the quick help bar and now my question is every time i try to go to google search and click on shopping no matter what item i am searching for I get a pop up at the the bottom i of the page every time i hit on shopping that say error update can not be added to this list or some thing like that. it was ok until the last update o of firefox and since i did that but am not sure why. doe not do it in Chrome just frefox. firefox is getting to the point b where i an thing king of leaving it. i had to rebuild my laptop computer and set up firefox on it, set up/turned on sync and the browser does NOT match the broswer srttings on the desktop where the sync comes from. bookmarked weblink icons only show up when a new tab is opened and vanish once a website is opened, icons for bookmarked weblinks on the bookmarks bar are generic wireframe globe-like-icons only, the custom firefox colour setup i struggled to create over the course of several weeks does not appear at all, nor does the dark theme. how then do i get this to -really- syc???

So to cut it short, i have an issue with not just firefox but almost all other browsers too. I have tried Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Edge. Both Firefox and Chrome will instantly close when i open them. As in, the window will open and immediately close after barely half a second. This has happened with Chrome and Firefox, yet Opera and Edge dont seem to have this issue. I am a Firefox user normally so this does make it a little annoying. Any ideas on why that is?

I use a MacBook Pro. I recently created a new profile for Firefox (for work purposes) and set it as the default profile, because I'm trying to get off Chrome entirely. The preexisting no-longer-default profile contained all my "personal" data - bookmarks, extensions, etc. Continued using both profiles for about a week with no issues. Last night my MacBook updated and when I reopened Firefox, the new default profile was fine, but when I went into about:profiles and launched the secondary profile in a new browser, it was completely empty - no history, no bookmarks, no extensions, nothing. That's at least a year's worth of data completely gone. I've looked through support articles and past folks' questions and am just completely lost as to how to restore it or what went wrong. If it's not possible to restore that data, how can I at least prevent this from happening again? I've very much lost trust in Firefox profiles because of this. Help please?
