I recently switched from Debian to Fedora Workstation. Everything works fine, even better under Fedora, except Firefox. There is this quirk, where whenever I wake up my system from suspension, and I try to search something, Firefox just shows a loading sign as if it was loading the page, but I see via the inspect tool that it isn't even sending any HTTPS requests to the server. I know this problem specifically affects Firefox, because other programs that require an internet connection, such as fetching mail via Thunderbird or installing packages via DNF work completely fine. In order to get Firefox to actually work, I have to completely close and reopen the application, forcing me to lose unsaved work in some cases. I've tried everything, from restarting my machine to waiting to see if it will be patched in a future update, but nothing has gotten better. Please help me. Thank you in advance.

HI All Recently purchased a laptop and want to have FF sync with my desk top. I am signed in to both devices with the same account and have checked all settings on both and they are identical. Why are they not syncing?

Playback works correctly usually, but if I jump forward or backwards in time it sometimes never loads. This also completely bricks the whole brower, all other tabs etc, until I close firefox and restart it. This happens on all vods of twitch, and also livestreams where I am able to rewind (subscriber function). After reinstalling Firefox due to it being slow, no matter what settings, Firefox always opens and focuses on a new unwanted tab. But only if there are no extra tabs open except for my 5 pinned ones.

This behaviour started before I installed any Extensions.

How can I stop this?

Hi, I need help retrieving my Saved passwords, Bookmarks and History. I have recently changed my mobile phone and Laptop. I've logged in on both items. I can't find my password, its clean. I can only see the visited sites that were on my new mobile, but nothing from my old laptop even after login and Sync

Currently on Linux, but the problem is probably not OS-specific (although any work-around may be).

What I look for:

I want one setup for work, one for union, and one for personal use. If my work setup would be compromised, union bookmarks, search history etc is not compromised at the same time. Also, my work setup is not cluttered with private bookmarks and addons. Obviously, it'd be nice if those setups could be handled as separate start menue icons, so that I don't need to switch using a couple of clics, but just start the right setup directly. Needless to say nowadays, that these setups need to be syncable between devices. Ideally I as a person would have one Mozilla account that can store multiple profiles and protect each one with a seperate password, OR I as a person would have multiple Mozilla accounts that are made for easy switching.

What I've tried:

Multiple accounts, obviously; they sync between devices, which profiles really do not. The problem I run into is that I still need a separate profile for each account if I don't want to log in and out of them (which I don't want indeed, Alt-Tabbing during my leisure time is the only way for me to get things done for union and often for the office-part of work).

Finding the profile feature was hard enough but I adopted and have the about:profiles page bookmarked in all profiles. But whenever I start using a new computer, I need to set up new profiles. I tried saving them in a custom location on my nextcloud so that they can sync, but there is no straight forward way to import profiles. You need to create new ones and then move the contents of the old ones, instead of just pointing ff to an existing profile; that kind of kills the point of picking a custon location in the first place. All I ever do with a new profile is logging in to one of my already highly profiled accounts.

Along the way I realized that there is a now more GUI-way to create profiles, so I tried that. But when I tried choosing a custom location for them, I failed. Took me a while of restarting and googling to find out that Mozilla has managed to have two completely seperate features with the exact same name! That is, when you create a profile the modern way, it does not appear in about:profiles and vice versa.

Since I ditched the idea of custom location anyway, I setteled with the new way. But when I thought I'd make seperate startmenue links for them, because surely you can handle that with some kind of flag in the command, I could find only one option for profiles, and, as you can guess, it works with the old profiles.

It seems that one can start with a profile at a certain path, so maybe the old way with custom path could be something for me anyway, but when I used such a profile, I got a warning message that says that history and bookmark functions might not work properly and that some security program may cause this.

So, how is one actually supposed to use different accounts OR how is one supposed to sync different profiles between devices?

Hi! I have been using Firefox for quite some time, and as of yesterday I have encountered a problem. Any site I try to watch video on, be it Twitch, Youtube, etc., the videos now pause every 1-2 seconds to buffer for 4-5 seconds. The progress bar at the bottom of the Youtube videos will say they are loaded well passed the point its stopping to "buffer" at, and this is only occurring on Firefox, I have tested other browsers and am not encountering this issue. Troubleshoot mode also doesn't change anything, and neither does private browsing.

title sums it up mostly. I've entered troubleshooting mode; no discernible difference. When I switch profiles the issue is resolved even with the same YouTube account. Tried clearing the cache, nothing. Most recent version of Firefox, windows 11.

Last month I installed Firefox on my brand new Windows 11 PC. The PC is set up using UK English as the default language and all the applications, including Norton extensions in Firefox v 153.0.3 (64bit), install in English.

The one exception is the Norton AntiTrack extension downloaded and installed from MS Store. It installs in English on MS Edge, but on the same day installed from MS Store on Firefox in French.

I have uninstalled AntiTrack and Firefox from my PC and then reinstalled them after rebooting, but it still insists on reinstalling in French. I can find no way to change the language setting in AntiTrack.

Does anybody have any suggestions to solving this problem.

NB AntiTrack also installs in English on our Android tablet and phones.

Please help, it looks like my passwords are not synced anymore on any Mozilla I use. I sue a Mozilla portable at home and a classic desktop on my office. The synchronyzation works for bookmarks, browse history and download history but not a single password is imported on my sessions ! My files are present : see screenshot01 so my passwords are here. Login.json contains data. So what's the problem. The debug mode said that : see screenshot 02 Thanks for the help

After the most recent Firefox update all my bookmarks were scrambled. For example, when I open one marked Bank of America, I get Go Daddy. How do I restore my bookmarks to what they were before the update?

High contrast setting only support 2 colors(unvisited links and visited links) as a consequence it does not support radio buttons(switches that move to left and right to turn on features). the buttons are invisible and waste hours of the users time.

I have three email groups on Comcast.net. To view the members of these groups when using Foxfire, I have to put them into the addressee box. However, if I use MS Edge, I have no trouble viewing them by opening the group using the usual prompt. This has been going on for a long time. I am running Windows 11, but don't know the version of Firefox, just that it has been updated several times since the problem began.

Hi. Every time I go into youtube, the sound cuts out after about an hour. I then have to go to settings, volume mixer and Mozilla Firefox and click on the X to get the sound back. Youtube has assured me this is not their problem, but a Mozilla one. I've been with Firefox for many many years and have never had this problem. Could you please advise me as to what to do about this ? Thank you.
