All my bookmarks and toolbar are gone after you forced me to upgrade firefox. YOU CAN HELP ME BY NOT FORCING ME TO UPDATE AND THEN DELETING ALL MY IMPORTANT BOOKMARKS AND THEN ACTING LIKE YOU WANT TO HELP ME BUT INSTEAD WASTE MY TIME WITH ALL YOU JACKOFFS THAT ACT LIKE THEY KNOW THE ANSWERS. FUCK YOU YOU IM DELETING FUCKFOX AND GOING ELSEWHERE, I HOPE YOU ALL FUCKING DIE

It's hard to describe what I mean without an example. I type "tart" into the search bar, and instead of the recently visited Wikipedia page on tarts, the autofill suggestions are full of pages in my history with "start" or "starter" in the title, or even in the URL but not the title. Is there any way to change it so the suggestions only contain the exact words I've typed?

I tried in another browser and Google Drive is online. Not on Firefox since the latest update.

Thanks in advance for any tip to troubleshoot. Internet connection is checked and okay. All the other google products are functioning as expected.

im not very good with tech so ive probably clicked the wrong things, but i cant use my firefox at all anymore. only to search up 'google.com' lol. it opens on the homescreen, but when i want to search anything it always comes out on the screen in the image included. ive been using firefox for a year or so and never had issues. ive tried deleting and reinstalling, restarting my laptop, the whole deal. im on windows 10 but that shouldnt be the issue i imagine. ive asked some friends and they dont understand it either. id love to get some help otherwise i might have to go back to google chrome D:

The Support forum is full with people having this problem and it seems no one at Mozilla can even b.u.t.t in with something like "we are working on it" or "here is how you can fix it yourself, also for none nerds" or anything?? Hello Mozilla, are you still alive or should we move on to a browser that does not malfunction on such an important issue as copy and paste? P.S. no answer is an answer too Mozilla, we can safely assume you are now buried on boothill, right?

In another thread, someone mentioned there is a new option for the sidebar to "collapse" which I guess means to close itself, but that isn't happening on mine yet. Perhaps it is an experimental option that is currently in testing. To roll back your sidebar to the classic behavior, you could try the following: (1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk. More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. The moderators would like us to remind you that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future. (2) In the search box in the page, type or paste sidebar.revamp and pause while the list is filtered (3) If the preference is set to true, double-click it (or click the Toggle button at the right end of the row) to switch the value from true to false Any difference?

CLARIFICATION OF MY QUESTION: I checked the way you said and the sidebar.revamp already says false. What I am talking about is as follows: In the windows 10 we had, and using Firefox, there was the complete My Bookmaks list on the left side, from top to bottom. Those not showing I could scroll down through them. It also had a search bar where I could search for a sepcific bookmark. (I have had 2 strokes and I cannot remember things if I can't see it as I do it.) NOW, however, with Windows 11, there is a "tab" I guess you call it on the left end of the ribbon. If I click on that, the My Bookmarks expands down (like it did look before) and I can scroll down if the one I am looking for is below the shown part of the list. HOWever, if I go to type anything outside of that list, it collapses back to the tab. It also does NOT have the search bar for the bookmarks at all. So if I cannot remember where the bookmark is located (I have 95 bookmarks) I have to scroll down through most of them to find it. What I want is for the entire bookmark list to REMAIN visible or on top when I am doing other things. Ialso would like to be able to search for a specific bookmark which would bring it right up.

I tried the troubleshooting mode, which turns off all the add-ons. Despite that, my Firefox still lags. For example, when I click on a new tab, it takes a couple of seconds to open. When I am typing, it takes a few seconds every now and then to catch up. Additionally, when I am scrolling, it will be unresponsive for a couple of seconds before jumping to where I supposedly scrolled to. I am using Mint Linux Firefox 128.0.3. I recently reloaded my M1 MacBook Air with macOS Sequoia. Ever since doing so, Firefox opens the right-click menu every time I press Control+Return (like when attempting to autocomplete a URL ending in .com, a feature I use quite frequently). It is only in Firefox that this happens, no other browser or program is doing this. I have uninstalled Firefox using AppCleaner, downloaded a new copy of Firefox 131.0 and reinstalled without any change in this behavior. Any ideas on what I can do to stop this so Control+Return only autocompletes a URL again?

Whenever I hover on a tab, a small pop-up immediately appears with the name of the tab and its website address. Sometimes this box is above the tab (and extending above the top edge of the window) and sometimes below it. This behavior started recently with no action on my part. How can I stop this annoyance?

Hello, Today I tried to upload some images to a seller on eBay, and consistently got the popup pictured below. I've never seen, heard of or had this issue before and searching for it comes up with nothing useful.

Any ideas? Using Firefox 115.13.0esr (64-bit)

Regular download works fine, but when I try to download attachment in outlook.live.com website, it didn't ask me where to store it, but simply places it in my default location, while at the same time opening the attachment even though I only want to download the file.

I've been using Mozilla Firefox since ... well, before Firefox, I used Netscape, your great-great-grandfather.

I am not blind. I have some issues with visual objects on web pages like scroll bars when you can't effectively use them. They are too thin. Mozilla has had complaints about this since 2022.

Please Fix them. Otherwise I may have to migrate to Chrome or Edge and leave my Mozilla legacy behind for a differnent fork in browsers. It's a dealbreaker folks. People will leave this browser and probably are every day for one stupid reason. Scroll bars than are inaccessible without using something like windows magnifier when you need to scroll.\

The screenshot function seems to have a bug. The function works as far as selecting "save full page" or save visible" but the image download never happens. Version is up to date and I have restarted but the issue persists.

I just noticed after an update today that the Mobile menu entry (with bookmarks from my mobile Firefox instances) no longer appears in the browser's Bookmarks menu. I can access them from the bookmark manager, but this change seems extraordinarily stupid and arbitrary and is a definite step backwards.

I only opened 5 pages (fixed tabs), and only enabled two plug-ins, Proxy SwitchyOmega and AdGuard AdBlocker. The browser was always open, and the pages were static, and nothing was playing. The strange thing is that it didn't take up much memory at the beginning, but it took up more and more memory over time. Today the system got stuck and couldn't respond (it might be that the system used virtual memory).

I used the browser's task manager, which showed that the Shared Web Process memory of several pages was very high, some as high as 4G, and the GPU memory was also higher than before.

I think this is very strange. Why does the memory usage increase exponentially after the webpage has been there for a while?

My settings and usage habits have basically not changed. I didn't have this problem before, but it has appeared in the past six months. I have updated many versions, but the problem still exists. I have always used Firefox. If it continues like this, I will be very disappointed and have to make changes.

I have a suggestion, could Alt + left/right arrow switch between tabs that are next to each other? This shortcut is e.g. in PyCharm and I think it would significantly improve my browsing experience. It seems to be currently unassigned.

I have about 30 user/password accounts logged when I use my Firefox account on Windows PCs but here on my new Apple Mac tablet, I do NOT see/get any of those accounts. Is there something I need to do to enable this to work?
